Yeah for the hell of it I just created a player about as good as I'd expect Lebron to be. Hilariousness ensues.
Just started playing Guild Wars 2 and Tropico 4 again. With GW2, so much potential with that game. I enjoy it, but can't help but feel like they left something great on the table.
Question: now that I have turned to the fruity side and like soccer, what FIFA should I get? FIFA 14 or FIFA world cup 14? I am currently playing saints row 4 otherwise
Fifa 14 is amazing...much more depth than world cup...plus you can play world cups in the different modes of the game.
Since I just picked up a XB1 last weekend, been mostly playing Madden 25, Battlefield 4, and Forza 5. On my 360, been playing Forza Horizon as of late.
I'm currently juggling AC4, Saints Row 4, and about to pop in FIFA 14. Yeah I just dropped a couple grand on a new washer/dryer for the wife and a playground for the kids...but I can't spend a couple hundred for a ps4 or Xbox one. Sometimes being a grown up sucks.
I'm so far behind on everything that I'm on FarCry3, or just finished it. I need another open world game like this to follow it up, preferably something that allows you to purchase weapons and so forth like FarCry and Dead Island.
I'm playing the new Tomb Raider and it borrows a lot from Far Cry 3. Its not as open, not as in-depth, but its fun. It seems to draw a lot from FC3 and Uncharted, but unfortunately in the process loses a lot of what makes Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider. If you're going to have stealth options in a game then every enemy encounter needs to have a stealth route in my opinion, yet a lot of the enemy encounters are set in a way that the guys you're fighting are already aware that you're there. The collectibles and optional things to do in each map are fun but can sometimes be downright annoying. And the tombs are too easy to figure out, they'll only rack your brain for a little bit. The game is gorgeous though, and kept me from firing Far Cry 3 back up and starting over. I got it for 5$ on Steam.Part of the suspense of the old Tomb Raiders was not knowing what was around the next corner, and in the beginning there is a sequence with a cave (not going to spoil it) that taps into that feeling of the unknown, but then there aren't many moments like it later on (save for a moment where Lara is being hounded by a certain... thing). I guess that's not the greatest sell on a game but its not bad. I'd give it a 7/10.
Same thing I was playing five years ago... War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition. It is not for those who play with twitching fingers expecting immediate gratification! Right now, I am playing a personally developed mod called "Fantasygasm in the Pacific." Washington Naval Treaty collapses because Stimson did not close down Yardley's Black Chamber, and not only was the US readying the IJ diplomatic mail, but knew of the 8-8 plan very early. Naval arms race ensured early in the 1930's between USN-RN and IJN-KM (RM and MN spent most of the decade planning against each other, and thereby cancelled each other out!) Lots of heavy metal floating around India, Southeast Asia, DEI, Philippines, Pearl, and Ominato.
Still playing Battlefield 4. Also running through Ocarina of Time 3D. I'm not a huge OoT fan, so this is mainly me trying to figure out what everyone else likes about this game. So far, I don't see it.
I just got DayZ standalone fully updated. Apparently they added living off the land, hunting, fishing, etc. To fish you have to dig for worms first, and then you may catch a fish. To eat you have to build a fire to cook your game, mammal or fish. The thing is, they haven't added persistent objects yet, or at least that I know of, like tents that you can store goods. I don't want to take up 60% of my inventory carrying a propane tank, a cooking pot, etc. That's BS. I also heard they will make finding food in towns more scarce. I actually haven't loaded in a while, but my character is fully stocked with an M4 and over 200 rounds and full military gear. Actually not quite sure if they've implemented the fishing and hunting yet, was meaning to try it out.
Yeah, I was kitted as well, untill I got killed like a sucker. That's my fault. I just refuse to be a KOS player, no matter how many times I happens to me. I guess I might have to change it up at least at airfields where it's free for all. I dropped my m4 when I found the AK. After getting killed I started reading up on it, and apparently it's not nearly as powerful as the m4, not to mention the recoil is a mother****er. Another thing struck me is that I should porbably to first person when I'm in a situation where I'm fighting fellow players, so the FPS instincts kick in I love the magnum, might walk around with it as a primary weapon though. It's crazy. I haven't heard much about the wildlife aspect of the game, and untill they make regular food scarce, I won't bother with it. If I can stay full of Kvas, vegetables and sardines, why bother stuffing my inventory with propaine tanks and such. Add me on Steam, Tone, mark3211991, if you ever decide to join up forces. Also, lol, Everytime I spawn and I don't have an axe yet, I'm like a zombie magnet. Once I get an axe, it's like they don't bother with me I hate that.
Ill add you next time I'm on. I typically KOS at the airport, and avoid confrontation otherwise if possible. I like to stalk people if I get the chance too.
Funny you bring this up, I was at the Airstrip towards the middle of the map, making my way to North West Airfield when I was scavenging a jail and a guy runs in my room with a weapon drawn. At that point I shot him up before any conversation happened. You come storming in to the room with a weapon drawn without saying anything - you are getting lit up. Another guy showed up later on, but he was a fresh spawn and he was pretty cool about the situation (the fact that he turned the corner and I had him in his corsairs telling him not to move probably had something to do with it ) I usually try to get to North West Airfield, server hop a few times to get kitted, and get the hell out of there. Nine out of ten times I get killed at military bases. Side note, man, I don't know how most people play this without being a be able to read Russian. If I had to play a game that massive and all the signs were in a language I couldn't read, man, I wouldn't have nearly as good of a time. All I gotta do is pull up the interactive map and know where I am at thanks to signs.
If you want to server hop to get kitted, there is a jailhouse NW of the NW Airfield on a hill. There's a road leading to it so you should be able to find it. I haven't run across anyone while there, and do hop it on occasion.
Interesting, I don't think i've seen it. It's beyond the tent city at the edge of the field? Also, have you found any downed helicopters? I found 3 on one server, and then nothing since. They seem to be random spawns.
Yeah, not many people know about it and is almost straight north of the military tents. It also has a water well. Very convenient. I think DayZdb can link specific parts of their map, so here is a go; http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus#6.039.039 Also, I haven't played in a while, didn't even know standalone had downed choppers, so, no, I haven't found any lol.
I fired the game up for the first time since January this weekend, got right back in it. Anyway, I'll move this convo in to DayZ thread before Desides starts giving me dirty looks.
Ok so I've narrowed my outdated list down to: Uncharted 2 State of Decay Last of Us Fallout New Vegas Metal Gear Solid 4 Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon Dishonored Deus Ex: Human Revolution Any order I should put these in?
Last of Us first, it'll be a lot shorter than the open world games. Though I hear Blood Dragon is a relatively short expansion.
Well, this thread died. I've been going through my backlog lately. Finally played and beat Dragon Warrior VII — there's a 13 year backlog entry finally crossed off. Went right into a Dragon Quest VIII replay and have been enjoying that. I'm at about the 95 hour mark. It's probably time to put this down and move on to Kingdom Hearts 1.5.
Tried out Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix… what a mistake. The controls are garbage and the combat is confusing and unsatisfying. No wonder this game stayed in my backlog for a decade.
I started playing a bit ago as well, add on Steam: Booty Snypah. Im pretty bad though. Also, this is hilarious, wasn't really sure where to post it.
