So everyone can keep talking about this... Why did Riley trademark three-peat? $$$$$$$ Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Since contracts are signed tomorrow, if Granger and the other guy sign without news of a Big 3 signing, it's safe to assume that someone has left right?
Boik...just rumor..but some people that I trust think the Impression that Gasol gave to the Heat was that he was heading back to the Lakers and wasn't all that interested in "new surroundings" (think sold him on "what a way to go out Pau! Spanish speaking town with titles...blah blah blah..), but they think that Phil wants him in a sign and trade and that Tyson was dealt precisely for that instance. They think he has a definite wish list of LA or NY with a preference for NY. If Phil can swing some moves, he may be a player yet for some really good players that are available. No Info whatsoever..just media BS that gets tossed around..but there is "some" knowledge in this... Phil's girlfriend does him a favor?
I for some reason thought that they had to sign first due to some cap rule I didn't fully understand. If Bosh left, could we conceivably replace him outside of teaching Kevin Love to shoot mid-range?
Some "reports" out there that Gilbert and Nike bought all the advertising billboards in Cleveland..... They are trolling hard.....
Because they don't know much about the situation. I find it laughable people think he wants to play in Cleveland ( A city hes said he hated growing up) with one really good player, a bust, and a bust waiting to happen with no role players to speak of. We have already retooled and have the ability to add more. Plus he can play with two guys proven that they are max players. Open your eyes people.
Was listening to Avp on ESPN..they said Cleveland just took Gilberts rant off their web site...its been their four years..and Bron would want to play for that guy?
Youd think..if Gilbert was really serious about making a run at Bron..he woulda yanked that longggg time ago..duh
For all the hate on Miami "fair weather fans"... there should be a huge outcry against the Cleveland populace after the way they handled him leaving and now the savior hath return. Hope Lebron announces his return to Miami from his home in Cleveland on live TV while wearing his Manziel jersey.
If all that is true why would Wade opt out when he knows hes breaking down, and won't get that much money elsewhere? It doesnt make sense for him financially.
I'm gonna predict LeBron returns to Cleveland today or tomorrow. I don't necessarily think it's happening I just think it'll make this thread more fun.
Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters are at worst role players, and Varejao (if healthy) is much better than a role player. Jarrett Jack (as bad as I found him to be last year), should be called a role player, as should Tyler Zeller. Matthew Dellavadova is probably the definition of a role player too. I get that you think the Heat are good and better than Cleveland, that's fine (I wouldn't even argue otherwise), but I find it laughable that you claim these things about the Cavs then criticize anyone else Nationally who says anything about the Heat because "they don't know". And as awful as Anthony Bennett was last year, it's still too early to call him a bust.
You don't have to agree its fine. I have nothing against the Cavs I just dobt thi k those guys listed are very good.
Even if Lebron did leave I wouldn't care or be mad. Gotta trust Pat Riley to make good decisions. Still though I have no fear of him moving on, it makes no sense logic wise.
I think we need to look less at the players and more at the assets. Tons of cap space, tons of young players, tons of picks. If LeBron were coming back, it wouldn't be for THIS roster. It would be for the flexibility to build a roster that made sense around him. For example - they could flip Wiggins for Love tomorrow. Hell - they have 3 firsts in next year's draft plus Dion, Bennett, and Tristan. With GS refusing to include Klay, Minny might not get a better deal than that poo poo platter from the Cavs.
Maybe but that deal can only go through if Love will resign in Cleveland. Noone in the East has really imptoved too much as of now. In Miani he still has a clear path to the finals for the considerable future and its a place guys want to play.
While I agree that looking at the assets is important, I just wouldn't trust Cleveland to maximize those assets. If I were in Lebron's shoes that would be the #1 issue for me. I wouldn't be worried about whether or not Wade breaks down. Reality is that stuff will happen everywhere and the organization will have to fix it. So the question is who do you trust to fix it. Personally, I wouldn't trust anybody more than Riley. And I certainly wouldn't trust a team like Cleveland to turn it around. They might, of course, but generally things don't change until you have changes at the top. I wouldn't consider a return to Cleveland as long as Gilbert was the owner unless I had stopped worrying about championships and just wanted to be in Cleveland for my last year or two for some reason.
Section, remember you said the bulls and knicks filed complaints with the leagues front office in 2010 and the bulls went so far as to pull wade's contract offer? Am I seeing things or is Melo dragging this out in a manner similar to Wade? The Bulls fans and media are by all accounts pretty upset with the way this is going right now...
Oh nothing, prolly just getting together too formulate a blackjack strategy to win a few hundred bucks. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Cavs just traded Jarrett Jack, Tyler Zeller, Sergey Karasev and a 1st to free up max space. They obviously think this is happening.
LOL. it means nothing. Just means how much he takes in year 1 and when his option is placed. (my bet? it is in year 2016, when the Heat will add somebody and make the BIG 4) Nobody is talking about how the Heat can sign all three to Max deals and have enough cap space in 2016 after the new TV deal to add ANOTHER Max.
hmm I dont like this jack trade at all I'm finally on the fence. Good news though celtics on hard push for Love atm.
I don't want to argue any of the rest...but what I bolded? Yeah..I'm gonna go ahead and call him a bust.
