Cavs now have space for a max deal as well as a large trade exception to use to add someone else since they will be at the cap.
That Trade was reported on last week. It is good business to get rid of bad contracts. Having 20 Million in cap space is also good. You don;t get Lebron..you can sign two good players...make the playoffs.
Be pretty fun to chase Ariza and Monroe. Though I doubt Detroit let's Monroe go somewhere in their division.
I am not sure what to think. Jack I sadly thought needed to go, but I thought Zeller was improving, and it was too early on Sergey.
yeah celtics are going to get love imo so unless the cavs end up trading for melo. i dont see how the cavs win anything the next few years even if they get lebron. I would take a 2 year deal with the heat if i was lebron then join the cavs after those young guns age a bit.
Cavs had to do the trade to even be in the game. They didn't give up much and got rid of Jack. Don't think anything has changed. I'd advise staying off RealGM though
Interesting. Is that true? If so, that would seemingly bring guys like Marvin Williams back into play, no? Maybe even take another run at Ariza or Deng?
I can confirm the Alex Kennedy report: The Miami Heat is trying to trade Mario Chalmers to Charlotte in a S&T for McRoberts...to retain their MLE, to offer it to Isaiah Thomas, of which he will surely accept. Problem is that Mario Chalmers will only go to Charlotte for an amount that is comparable to the MLE. Do they offer it?
So now our buddy Sam Amico is reporting that Cavs have reached out to Mike Milker and Ray Allen. First, hilarious. Second, if true that's recruitment moves, not "we've won" moves
So if Lebron goes to Cleveland, that frees up obviously a **** ton of cash for Miami. Do we go hard after Melo to pair with Wade/Bosh? Or Love? WTF does it mean.....I mean seriously, even if you think Lebron 100% goes to Cleveland, what are Miamis plan B with the money free'd up. I can't see Riley sitting on his *** doing nothing.
Woj reporting that all teams in on LJ have only been in contact with Rich Paul. No one has yet gotten to James. Well one guy has......he wears #3.
Chalmers isn't going to get that on the open market though. I guess that would be the added incentive to go to Charlotte though. That would definitely be a nice move for the Heat.
LOL Per Aldridge, Cavs pursuing James Jones. Why not just trade us Kyrie and Wiggins for Bosh and Wade while you're at it. LJ is so concerned about the age of Heat that Cavs want all our old guys
Why am I working today? I would love to be playing RE4 HD with sports news on in the background right now. Definitely my plan tomorrow since it's our independence holiday. July independence bros.
Ooooooohhhhhh Now you're talking! This would leave us with four point guards if it happened... Thomas Granger Napier Cole Assume this means Cole's days with us would be numbered?
Honestly, this makes the most sense. Gives him the best chance to win now and lets he Cavs young guys develop. In two years he weighs what the Heat can do vs. whether the Cavs are ready to win.
Pfffff.....heres a better one: Listening to Colin Cowhered....Bron's wife is preggies....and well ...guess womens want to have their kids at home so, its all over. Seriously though...if Bron left...and say Bosh went to Houston, Id be fine with the Heat having a down year, next year there will be alot of good players available and we'd have buckets O' cash to spend wouldnt we?
What would be hornets incentive to do this? If they wanted Chalmers they could just sign him outright.
Our offense would be sick with Thomas on the floor. Defensively he isn't going to shore us up but good lord would we be able to light it up
I'm starting to believe that—as it stands now, barring any major moves to come—Riley actually crapped out this offseason. And THAT, my friends, is one of the signs of the apocalypse. We lose Lebron, we're just another team.
The sad part is, none of these jackoffs will be accountable for what they're reporting. It'll turn into, well "Cleveland was about to sign Lebron as reported but then Wade reminded James that he's an *******, and that's not what *******s do"
Lebron would be a moron if he's more impressed with the Cavs than Miami. Wade, Bosh, McRoberts and Granger, right now, are better than any 4 player combination than the Cavs can come up with. And it's not even close.
