Well supposedly Chris Bosh is about to sign with the Houston Rockets while he's in Africa. Don't see why LeBron James couldn't sign with the Heat while in South America. Dwyane Wade should re-sign with the Heat while in Europe. Haslem from Asia. Complete the set. EDIT: Chalmers re-signs from Antarctica.
Nothing. The closest thing he did is his agent met with the Cavs. That's it. There are rumors they led the Cavs on and suggested they clear space, but those are rumors as are just about everything in this saga.
So when he meets with teams as his player is a free agent, he is acting in the best interest of his player who is aware such meetings are taking place. Correct? So when it is said that Lebron didnt meet with other teams personally, what difference does it make?
When the Heat play the Cavs, the Heat should wear the nickname jerseys, and Bron should wear "Karma".
There is no way a player of Lebron's stature signs with a team without a personal meeting. That's why...it's huge. Just having your agent talk to a team is a prelim...not the hand shake
Because Lebron is a very thorough person. Funny how people forget the sources saying he absolutely wouldn't sign anywhere else without an in person meeting now that it is inconvienient to the media agenda.
Aren't he and Kyrie Irving good friends? The fact that he's not out there chumming around with Irving like he is Wade suggests to me that he specifically doesn't want to lead the Cavs on.
I'm sure he meets with plenty of teams regularly. Rich Paul talks to the Clippers - does that mean LeBron is considering them? It means LeBron isn't considering those teams. If he was considering those teams, he would have met with them personally?
Rich Paul is Lebron's agent, and basically the only player that he manages. He didn't graduate college. He is a Cleveland dude who, according to some, is on a "mission" to get Lebron back to the Cavs. It would make him a hero there. The latter may be accurate, the Cavs did frantically clear cap space recently and it certainly seems like it wasn't Lebron telling them to do that. I wouldn't be surprised if Cleveland is getting indications from only Rich Paul, who turns out to be a grade A moron.
The difference is the agent sets up meetings for the client so the client can decide where he'll go. The agent doesn't decide and he doesn't hold meetings with teams in order to decide. If you hire a real estate agent to help you buy a house, it's that real estate agent's job to take a look at the broad market and decide which houses might be best for you then set up opportunities for the clients to tour the house and make their decision. Negotiations between the agent and the seller could be happening simultaneously, or after the client makes his/her decision. Either way just having the real estate agent stop by your house to take a peek without the client in no way should make you as a seller believe you've got this sale in the bag.
He does. I don't know enough about the NBA to make sweeping generalizations, but the remainder of them are young guys struggling to make a name Tristan Thompson (Cavs, 4th overall), Kevin Seraphin (FA, 17th overall), Eric Bledsoe (Suns,18th overall), Cory Joseph (Sprurs, 29th overall) My impression is that he's relatively new to the agent game and, on paper, maybe not super qualified?
Wow y'all hate Cavs fans. LeBron's agent obviously led the Cavs on or they wouldn't have traded away 3 decent assets just to clear cap space for a max. So, yes, their fans looked at that logically and got excited about the fact that maybe they would be adding the best player in the world. Let's not pretend like LeBron and everyone close to him doesn't know about the hype going on around this. You can't mock Cleveland fans for being outside his house while his family is there and in the next breath act like LeBron doesn't know this is going on. Remember how y'all acted when he came the first time? Remember the anticipation? Why wouldn't Cavs fans be doing the same thing if there are indications LeBron could go there?
I'm very confused with what is being said against Cleveland fans? I've been steadily bashing the media
Rich Paul left CAA, to start his own agency. Funny story how Lebron met Paul. Lebron was in high school getting ready to get on a plane, and was wearing a Michael Vick jersey, but it wasnt authentic. While at the airport, in walks this guy with an authentic Warren Moon throwback jersey, so Lebron and his posse asked the dude where he got it. Turns out the guy was selling jerseys out of the trunk of his car, so soon Lebron was sporting an authentic jersey not a replica. Thats how he met Paul.
Or the owner realizes that he can cut salary while perpetuating the victim role he embraces. Its not hard to see their angle here. "Oh, we suck? Yeah its because LeBron screwed us, not that we are actually bad at this basketball thing".
Reports all state those moves were planned months in advance regardless of Lebron. Only trade hinging on Lebron would be Wiggins/Love.
Mad props to Chris Sheridan. Had a source he claimed nobody else had, and he was 100% right. LeBron's essay says everything that Sheridan laid out.
Funny that his own website still has him in a Heat uni holding two trophies. Two more than he can ever win in Cleveland.
Eh like I said....Im happy for the four years Lebron gave us in Miami. I have zero issues with him going back to his home town...Im sure it wasnt an easy decision for him. But I hope we pound the Cavaliers now. And I know Im gonna sick of listening to a years worth of....Lebron is our savior yada yada yada
