@EthanJSkolnick 8m If the Heat were in the West, maybe Riley blows everything up. He's in the East. So it appears he'll take his shots. @EthanJSkolnick 4m Chris Bosh back to Miami is confirmed. Waiting on Wade.
You won't get Wiggins. That's too much. 1st round picks will be easier to swallow for the Cavs like they were for the Heat. I'd take it as a Heat fan. It's better than nothing.
Shhh Dwyane....it's okay. We will be appearing in our 5th straight finals. Trust Pat. It's okay to cry though...you're still a man.
you know i probably wouldn't of given bosh max but the fact he wanted to stay with a max offer from a good rockets team offered respect to bosh LOYALTY
Nope. Melo cannot be signed and traded in the new cba at least not for 5/129. Knicks are the only team that can do that. If melo said I want to go to Chicago then he can sign with Knicks for 4/96 and be signed and traded since they don't have the cap to sign him outright
@EthanJSkolnick 27m Now it's time for Erik Spoelstra to open up the playbook for Bosh. He's capable of much more.
Lakers clearly out of the Melo sweepstakes considering their signings of Nick Young and Jordan Hill, along with Jeremy Lin (ugh). Kupchak is punting to next season. Dude is like Reggie Roby with the hangtime of this punt. Going on two seasons now.
If they don't want to lose him, and he decides he doesn't want to play there....what choice would they have? For the record I believe its an EXTREMELY long shot. However I'm just being optimistic.
Really wish I knew what the plan was, there has to be something going on. You don't resign Wade/Bosh and sit on your hands. Gonna go eat, hoping I come back to some good news.
The best way to make this team highly competetive this season would be Greg Monroe, imo. Go big and pair him with Bosh. That'd be a dynamic frontline of very skilled southpaws. The other issue is at PG, now without LeBron to handle the ball and distribute like he did. This is gonna be tough. The offense is going to be very very different from last year.
Lebby saying D-Wade will be flexible with his salary to give the team more flexibility to rebuild the roster. BOSS!!!
Love you Wade, sorry Lebron screwed you over like that, let us build a team to knock out the Cavs every time in the playoffs.
My only solace is knowing that Houston whiffed on EVERYONE as the rumors of Coward not really having too many people willing to play with him, comes to fruition. L.A. is in rebuild mode, officially. Grabbed a first from Houston, signed marginal talent to tank the season and recover their first rounder from Phoenix next year, and a clean slate in two years when Kobe is gone (if not sooner once he demands a trade) to add premium players to a hopefully young core.
Treat him well. Since day one he has been a hero in Miami...he needed someone and we gave him Shaq. Gave him the freedom to recruit Bosh/Lebron. Glad he is loyal and willing to give back in our time of need.
I like Bosh but a 5 year max deal? I don't know I think I'd pass on that if I were Miami. He's not a max player, maybe for 2 or 3 years but 5? 5 for 118? Whew thats a lot of money for a good player.
He's a max player IMO. Would you prefer a 4 year deal? Yeah, you would. But if that's what it takes, he's still one of the best bigs in the NBA and with his style should be able to play at a high level well into his 30s.
He is absolutely a max player. Becoming a third option behind LeBron and Wade does not mean his skills have diminished.
Notice it doesn't bother me. I said months ago, I believe Durant is coming here in 2016. Bosh's and Melo's deals would have screwed that up. I'm just glad Lin is gone, and I am liking me some Nick Johnson as his replacement.
