Curious as to why Gasol doesn't appear to be warming up to Phil and the Knicks....he has rings so I wouldn't think he has a title chasing agenda, Knicks can get Marc next season. Strange how little intrest they are showing in eachother, seems like a decent fit to me.
the only player left i would throw 10 mil plus at is lance but hes a HUGE risk. Also for anyone wanting bledsoe **** THAT his agent is rich paul
Since when did Rich Paul become this all powerful NBA agent? Being a Lebron jock sniffer apparently has it's advantages.
Hes only averaged 23/10 once in an 11 year career. He's averaged 10+ rebounds 3 times. He has had a great career, He is a HOFer, I never said he was a scrub. Giving a guy going into his 12th season a 5 year max deal is crazy. The discussion was never about whether he has been great or whether or not he's a HOFer, just if RIGHT NOW he is worth this contract. He isn't. This was a desperation move by Riley and the Heat because they have what 2 players under contract? I like Bosh, if you actually read anything I wrote you would have understood that. Arguing that someone isn't worth a max contract isn't saying that they are a bum. I realize you guys are hurting and clinging to anything right now so if you want to vent on me go ahead, I'm not a Heat fan and I like Bosh, Wade and Lebron so I have no issues with them on any level.
ANy single one of us would have signed Bosh to this deal BEFORE Lebron left. We actually...you know...watch him every night and know what he brings to the table. You've had your say, so just drop it and stop trying to pee in our cheerios. You aren't changing any minds and your ranting is making you just look like someone who is happy Lebron left and wants to gloat, but also wants to be subtle. No personal offense intended.
The Gasol/Melo/Phil/Knicks/Bulls stuff seems very murky at the moment. Lots of rumors about who wants to play with/for whom, possible S&T scenarios, and that report about Gasol finalizing the deal with Chicago was almost twelve hours ago. A little weird. New York makes a ton of sense for Pau if he wants to take less money: Melo, Phil, the triangle, his boy from Spain Jose Calderon, and like you say the prospect of recruiting his brother.
My main man CB. The coolest dude alive. Represent! Bosh and Wade should start doing their press conferences together.
Now I might be the one in love! A girl who loves the Heat, the Dolphins, and Paleontology as much as I do! So who do we think the heat have in play for today? I read a tweet saying Deng's options were narrowed down to, "The heat, the heat, and... the heat." That was yesterday though. Maybe we're trying to see who will take a smaller contract between Ariza and Deng? Either would be an acceptable downgrade.
It's really going to be interesting to see how we fill the roster. Depending on what Deng/Wade end up getting (assuming Deng signs) it will really impact what else we can do. Let's make sure Lebron never sets foot in an NBA finals again Riley.
kyrie irving's health and dions mouth have that covered already lol dude was ****ting on wiggins on twitter yesterday
We need to put out calls to everyone who hates Lebron ASAP. We can sign them for small contracts and guarantee them a place in the Organization for life... I'm talking the Lance Stephenson/Josh McBobert/Luol Deng/Delonte West type lineup. Delonte to talk about Bron Bron's mom. Seriously though, I really love Lebron for what he did in Miami and just for being an amazing player... But there's only one team that I want to see championships!
Well lets double cover it. Make sure Lebron has to watch CB and Wade hoisting at least a couple more titles sitting at home in Ohio. Lebron the person...don't know him so I can't hate him but Lebron the basketball player...I never want to see him succeed again on a team level. It's like hoping an ex wife finds a guy who's better in bed if any Heat fan wants Lebron to win one.
Agreed, but once you put on those other colors.....in your prime after all the Heat did for him and his legacy (not to say he did nothing for us, that would be wrong)....now we have to beat you.
Exactly! You know, maybe after seeing CB3 and Dwade lift the trophy next year he might start to regret that homecoming.
What's the status of McRoberts? Is he definitely coming to the Heat? Price is a little high for someone who doesn't really make an ideal frontcourt with Chris Bosh. Unless the Heat want to continue playing smallish-ball with Bosh at center, which would be a mistake, imo.
@EthanJSkolnick 18m To answer 1 question, I have no info on S&T talks. But yes, Cavs own Deng's Bird rights, so he's eligible. May be way for MIA keep full MLE. @EthanJSkolnick 8m The timing and numbers are tricky. And Cleveland needs to cooperate. But a S&T for Deng creates much more flexibility for Miami.
Honestly none of us know. I'd still like McRoberts because he is a guy who provides something off the bench and is an ideal backup at PF for CB. I'm personally hoping Granger is healthy. Such a long shot but he could be a welcome surprise.
@EthanJSkolnick 41m Wade & Haslem still negotiating $ & length of deals, though both expected back. As for McRoberts & Granger, they may end up under cap now. @EthanJSkolnick 1h Many have asked about first-rounder Heat gave up for LeBron. It's top 10 protected in 2015 and 2016, unprotected in 2017. @EthanJSkolnick 1h The Heat re-signing Bosh and (soon) Wade pretty much guarantees the Cavaliers will be picking in the Heat's slot in 2015. @EthanJSkolnick 4h Column (re-post): LeBron James, always just on loan to Miami http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/2126795-lebron-james-says-farewell-to-miami-for-the-place-he-never-left …
I don't want to have to ask this but... Is Wade/Deng/Bosh/Everything else enough to take the East? Also we must be bringing Oden back right?
The most ridiculous thing I've read is that Gilbert is older and wiser since the letter. Seriously he was a grown man when he wrote it, and it's only been four years. The older you get the less you grow in 14 years. It's not like he was 14 years old.
If Indy returns with Lance....NO. But it will be interesting to see two highly efficient players increase their roles. In a way..lebron was their stalking horse.
Ouch. Not sure why we didn't/aren't making a run at Lance over Deng. Aside from Lance being an idiot....he is probably the better player.
Vince Carter signed with Memphis. There goes a 40% three-point shooter for the minimum or close to it.
He got 12 million over three years, he was never going to take anything close to the min. with that on the table.
Here's a good article on Bosh that discusses some of the ridiculous perceptions of his doubters: http://www.chatsports.com/miami-heat/a/Chris-Bosh-perception-and-his-ever-changing-role-2-10083218 "Chris Bosh pulled down 62% of his available rebound "chances". For comparison's sake, Joakim Noah, the symbol for scrappy rebounding and effort, secures 62.5% of his rebound chances. The aforementioned Zach Randolph? 57.5%. David Lee? 56.8%."
People fail to realize how hard rebounding is when you are trying to protect the rim and alter shots. You are in the wrong position to do so, that link just shows that when Bosh -is- in position to do so, he does it among the best.
Deng wanted to be in Miami before LeBron left, but also wanted his pay day. Now that LeBron's gone, he can get that pay day. I believe he wanted $12 million and now the Heat is offering $10, but don't quote me on those figures. If Deng is healthy, then he's a good addition. He defends LeBron well, which is now important since we'll probably see the Cavs in the playoffs at some point. He's able to contribute on offense. And he can conceivably be part of that higher defensive gear the Heat have had for the last few seasons. What I want to know is if Ray Allen really wants to follow LeBron to Cleveland.
If healthy, I agree on Deng. He is good off the ball and very smart. He did not look healthy at all last year.
How funny is this.... I was told by people inside the Heat organization that it was a 100% done deal that Carmelo Anthony was staying in New York. I shared it with Boik..he got excited. He is staying in New York. Whoopee..the Heat got it right. But they were completely blindsided by their own player Lebron James. LOL
