@AlbertRandom1 6m RT @WojYahooNBA Chris Andersen -- the Birdman -- reaches agreement on a multi-year deal to return to the Miami Heat @AlbertRandom1 3m Heat can leverage Birdman’s small cap hold, use his Early Bird rights, to exceed the cap in giving him a contract above the minimum.
I like that, we gave Birdman a chance to play basketball after everyone else turned their backs on him and he shows us his loyalty, good signing by the Heat.
Or retire like Ray will probably do. The honest truth is that most of them, despite their well wishes, probably feel abandoned by a guy they went through a lot with the last four years.
Hey Boik...told you the Knicks went after him.... Well..it seems that the Cavs withdrew their offer and the Knicks got into it heavy. Bird ...CAME HOME.
Yes. for some "reason" the Cavs reached out to Mike Miller, Birdman, and it is believed that Mario Chalmers was also sought after.
Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA 1h Yahoo Sources: Euro star Nikola Mirotic agrees to three-year, $17M deal to join the Chicago Bulls. http://yhoo.it/1kmuFQ2 So that means Boozer is gone now?
@AlbertRandom1 1m Such an approach would cost Heat a net $408K against cap, allow for contract starting at $5.6M for up to 4 years.
No. That is against the policy of club (lifting content). Only the original poster should be doing that if they decide to. Follow the link. http://www.thephins.com/forums/payments.php
uh..no. He ****ed Riley out of a full MLE by being injured all the time and then asking to be traded after winning a championship.
The knicks were in on Birdman? Where did you say that. Where did you even find that? Had no idea. And to be honest Im actually happy we didnt get him. Cole Aldrich was fine. Jeremy Tyler has potential
If it makes Nabo feel any better it wasn't totally Earth shattering. Some of it was known, and one particular part was something I'd previously said I'd been told in this thread from my own source. Hope that isn't considered lifting Boik, purposefully left out any actual detail. If so just delete my post!
@AlbertRandom1 2m To be clear… 4 years, starting at $5.6M is what would be possible if Heat retain Birdman’s Early Bird rights; surely not what he’ll get.
WTF does that mean? Explain what I twisted: I stated FACTS: Yes...he was paid the FULL MLE. Yes he was always hurt. Yes he requested a trade after we won in 2012.
Sonnuva… Look, I genuinely have no issue with LeBron leaving the Heat, even if he led the organization on. But then to recruit those players… that's kinda jerky.
http://www.thephins.com/forums/show...-NBA-Thread****/page142&p=2364857#post2364857 Post #2835. I beat the Great WOJ by 8 hours.
It's odd b/c Lebron clearly makes those around him better, but he also failed in his attempts to recruit players to Cleveland in 2010. Maybe it's not odd. Maybe it's just that however much players may want to play with Lebron, it's not enough to overcome how little they want to play in Cleveland.
You made me buy the club level for that post you posted about the events that took place about Lebron, it was worth it too.
Dan Gilbert is another reason too, no one wants to play for someone who thinks he owns a player for life.
If you like the Dolphins as much as the Heat it really will be worth it come season time. It's slow now but it heats up a lot. No pun intended.
They amnestied Miller to save money, that is public knowledge. They were always going to do that. Whether he requested trade is irrelevant. Of course he would request trade rather than be amnestied. Matter of fact, heat would have preferred to trade him rather than amnesty him. but since everyone and their grandma knew he'd be amnestied, no one would trade. Mike Miller was hurt, but he played hurt, in the heat of the playoffs and delivered, always. He was the forever man, no less than anyone who ever played for the Heat. His only problem was, he was the only player who could be amnestied.
He asked for the trade WELL before he was ever going to be amnestied. In fact you could argue he was amnestied because of it.
I love our Dolphins, they are looking like a playoff team this year, finally we have an O line to protect our franchise quarterback.
I agree. Gilbert is a big reason to avoid that team. IMO he's a big reason why the odds are long against Lebron ever winning a championship there.
Well no-one is going to want Bennett but I do think when Wiggins contract is up he bolts. He can use the excuse that its time to get out of Lebrons shadow etc. Though I stand by the fact that he won't be a star.
I still love the Jason Kidd quote "There is no-where I'd rather be" about coaching the Bucks. How can anyone say that with a straight face?
So, Birdman's deal is being called a "multi-year deal" and if he's eligible to make as much as $5.6M with EBR, what do you think he's actually signed for?
Bulls Wizards Heat Cavs Pacers Hawks Knicks The East is going to be fun to watch again, until they go to the Finals and get stomped on by the West.
That's another thing, the peddling of feel-good stories to save face, with that forever man shat story, from Skolnick and other company men. And twisting the truths to suit agenda like you are doing.
The Heat don't release contract numbers once they are signed. Bird's agent is gonna have to talk to somebody for that to get out.
