Eh on Kelly but Craig is interesting for a bounce back. Either way it's a pretty good return for Lackey. Wonder if Victorino and/or Nava might be on the move. Sox seem to have a log jam now in the OF.
Cherington and Farrell said they are building towards 2015. These two trades certainly help. More trades will absolutely be coming for the Sox.
I would think Victorino and/or Nava is traded now but you never know. Sox need more power in the line up so trading Nap would seem like a step backwards though.
Should be worth noting the Sox pulled Victorino in the 5th inning last night, when asked Farrell said Victorino wasn't injured but Farrell saw something that he didn't like and wanted to make sure Victorino wasn't trying to push himself too hard after just returning. Wonder if he pulled him just in case the Sox were looking to deal him.
Tigers are heavy on Miller...I am calling Igelias coming back watch.... This is my wet dream what the Sox are doing....Cashman is probably debting on whether to deal Clarkin and Judge for Bryd....
I don't think Iglesias will be coming back. Sox are looking to deal Drew so they can move Bogaerts back to SS and WMB to 3rd. Plus Iglesias had double leg surgery this year, is a big risk going forward and the Sox know he's light with the bat.
Yeah. I mean the Rays are really in a tough place, realistically I don't think they have enough to make the playoffs this year and Price's trade value will never be higher than it is right now at this moment however I will be a tough sell to the players and fans if you trade Price now. Personally if I find a deal I really like I'm trading Price.
Cashman and the other AL East GMs must realize today is the trading deadline right? Seems like a lot of GMs are asleep at the wheel right now.
Anthony Ranuado is going to make his MLB debut tomorrow night against the Yankees. Followed by fellow rookie Allen Webster and then Buchholz on Sunday.
If you are near a sportsbook, lay it hard on the Sox to win that game, Yankees are miserable against pitchers they have seen for the first time...
Wonder if the Sox are done or if they still will be making deals as they have a ton of OFers still and need to get rid of Drew (although will probably be able to during the waiver period).
Weird move to me. Would rather get a Single A player instead. As a platoon player he's good vs. RHPers and he's solid at defense.
3 team deal: Price to the Tigers, Austin Jackson to Seattle, Nick Franklin, Drew Smyly to TB. There has to be more names involved no? If not that's a very light package for Price.
