So, I start work at 7:30am on Fridays and my only savior is that the Dr.'s MAKE us keep the tv on ESPN. Mike&Mike in the morning has become one of my favorite shows Just so happens, Ronnie Brown was on today. You can hear the interview on their page here about half way down on the left side OR go down to the podcast and speed up to 11 minutes and you'll be able to hear it all without having ESPN insider he talks about his injuries, whether or not JT is a phin this year, his Wii bowling challenge, our past record and what it will be this year, Brett Favre and Miami, etc.
Awesome! thanks for sharing. Glad to hear he's at 100% in his opinion. Too bad that they had to bring up JT, and then bug him about if he would join dancing with the stars himself? Really, do they have nothing better to ask? All in all a nice listen though. Nice to hear he doesn't sound like a dope like so many others in the league do when they speak. Thanks!!!
Anybody else notice the change in his speech pattern when he was asked if he's back to 100% healed.....It sounded to me like he started choosing his words very carefully....he never actually said that he was 100% ready to go either.....not saying he's lying or anything like that...but, there was definitely something he wasn't saying...he was hiding something, imo...
I hate ESPN. They make you pay to listen to something you can watch for free. They have horrible coverage of sports, and it doesn't matter how well the Phins do, they all ways find a way to down on them. The only bright side to ESPN is Berman. He actually knows his stuff most of the time.
We are fortunate to have such a fine young man on our team, and when fully healthy he is as talented as he is nice. Best thing Saban ever did was to draft this young man.
Thanks FG... Seems to me that Ronnie stated he is where the doctors thought he would be... That means he has had NO setbacks...
Did RB have a partial or complete ACL tear? I hope that we ease him back and that he plays sparingly if at all in the pre season. If RW still has his running back mojo, and I think he does, then we're fine. In due time RB and RW will be a two headed monster pounding on defenses behind our new, improved line. It should be somethig to see.
please someone correct me if i'm wrong, but as far as my knowledge goes he had a full tear. he underwent the full anterior cruciate ligament surgery and has been rehabbing it. "Edge" is one of his close buddies and has been a big part in keeping him on the straight and narrow. Typically, players do ok their first year off ACL surgery but tend to do better the year after that. It all depends on how his body has been healing, he can't rush it or will end up out all this season again. You have to give your body time to heal or it will keep ripping. This coming from working with 3 orthopaedic doctors...
I found this on line- for some reson I can't send the link: **UPDATE #3**: And it's official. In his press conference today, Cam Cameron has confirmed that Ronnie Brown suffered a complete tear of his ACL and will be done for the season. He said that surgery is likely to take place in 7 to 10 days. He will undergo a normal ACL reconstruction, which is known to have a success rate of 90%. Cam said that Brown was surprised at the findings because he was able to walk on it a bit, but was optimistic. Cam said Brown's spirits were up and he's already talking about next year and that he's committed to coming back even stronger. Cam said of Ronnie, "He's an impressive young man."
The spectre of Daunte Culpepper is what he's hiding. Or rather, what he's trying not to invoke. He doesn't want to push himself or be perceived as pushing himself to the detriment of his long-term health or the team. [/IMO]
