They better come out strong against the Patriots. That will be a defining moment for this staff and this core group of players.
It seems like all the players feel this way. I know everyone is optimistic this time of year but listening to them, I cant help but feel the same way. It's exciting!! Tannehill is maturing and by now knows what it takes to win. He seems very confident, unlike that shy boy who started his first season.
The more I think of it the better being under the radar feels. Too much spotlight last year for entirely the wrong things. We didn't get enough credit for an incredible walk off safety, or picking off Brady to win the game. That's ok though. Let's let the football do the talking, leave the chatterboxes on the tv and net and papers to mouth off about the jets or the bengals or whatever. Let's go out there and win games. Just win.
Not me. When's the last time that the team had preseason hype, was liked by the media, and then lived up to it and had a good season? I really can't remember. The Fins underachieve almost every year that they look decent. It must feel really good to be a fan of a team like that, and I want to get to that point. Screw sneaking up on people.
I think ultimately we are both saying the same thing. Winning trumps everything. We win lots of games this year, next off season will sound much better. I'd rather be a stone cold favourite but at themoment that's not on so I'll take under the radar instead.
