He is not the best player on the team, not anymore. He was in decline last season, injury or not, and he's getting older and older. I love Wake.. but if not for his reputation amongst Dolphins fans (which I think he takes a lot of plays off) and the game winning safety last season nobody would be saying anything (that's Classic soccer mom mentality). This is Tannehill's team now and he is the biggest factor to whether we succeed this year or not. You just like trying to pick arguments with everyone.
Cameron Wake was voted 66th best player by players in the NFL. That has nothing to do with Dolphin fans. Classic self hating Dolphin fan. You are just trying to argue just to argue.
That list is bogus, you can deny it all you want. I live in North Carolina and Greg Hardy (Panthers) was 13 spots ahead of Wake, so that means he's a better player then right? They vote on and make a new one every year.. It's a popularity contest and Wake wasn't even our best DE last season (minus the one safety). And I'm not a self hating fan, I'm pretty positive about the team and our chances every season. I'm sorry I actually liked the team because I'm from Miami and I've remained a fan through some of the worst seasons in their history.. I didn't just jump on the bandwagon when they were good with Marino like some people. I don't mind having a discussion, you just enjoy instigating. If you can't admit that that's on you.

Yes, Wake is a better player at his position than Ryan Tannehill is at his position. Yes, Wake is one of the top players in the league at his position. And I believe Wake earned his place on the top 100 list. But Cameron Wake is not more important to this team than Ryan Tannehill. If Joe Philbin had to cut one of them today, I can guaran-damn-tee it would be Wake, not Tannehill. If ranking in his position is your voting criteria, then fine. Or if it's the bull**** curse. Or if you just like Wake better than Tannehill. There are plenty of reasons for someone to vote for Wake over Tannehill. But I think we all know who is more valuable to this team. That's why I'm voting for Superstar Ryan Tannehill. He earned the vote in 2013 by putting the team on his shoulders with no running game and a turn-style offensive line. He improved drastically from 2012 to 2013. He'll improve again this year.
That is all the criteria I need. Tannehill hasn't earned it yet. The idea that Tannehill is more "valuable" is part of something I don't like about the entire league. QB's get too much credit and too much blame. And voting for him now is the same as giving Peyton the Superbowl MVP when he wasn't the MVP of the game. He got it, just because he is a quarterback. Yes, Tannehill development is important, but he hasn't earned the right to be Miami's best player.

Once the season starts it goes a lot quicker. More people on the board and emotions run high. For instance if Tannehill has a great game, he is going to get a huge uptick in votes, Wake would have to have a 7 sack game to counter balance the desire for the Dolphins to have a good quarterback. However if he sucks, there will be plenty of new people voting him down.
