I thought it might be. My only issue with that is it looked like he threw it after Hartline was behind the defended. I'd have to see it again.
But..I will say this..I wont be mortified if Tannehill goes down for a game..I think Matt Moore could do very well in this offense
I wanted to see more TDs, but all-in-all I loved the first half (minus a couple mistakes). I even told my wife I'd love to see them run more than they pass. Got my wish.
Glad we got this stinker from Tannehill out of the way before the season. Very sloppy all around from the starting offense, we should have been up at halftime, I expect it to be corrected though
Deep ball completions have more to do with floating the ball up there than anything else. Tanne needs to look at that and stop trying to get it perfect, it needs some hang time.
even if it was bad communication, he has to throw that ball before hartline comes out of his cut, never after that, it had disaster written all over it
Yeah I agree. I'm just not sure what he was thinking, something had to be off aside from the timing as well. No-one throws a line drive like that with the defender obviously in front. It was just strange.
Im just saying he needs to do it in general. Henne did the same thing where he didn't float it enough. It helps period. Even Tebow had a good % on deep balls bc he would just float it up there.
Billy Turner and Shelley Smith both need to start. I don't care which way you do it. Just get them both in there.
He had some shaky spots early, in run blocking of all places, got a little lucky due to over-aggression of the DL. But overall, FAR better than Dallas Thomas or whoever else they'd stick at RG (unless it's Billy Turner).
I think it is about time people accept that Tannehill just isn't effective in throwing the deep pass. He is fine on the short to intermediate range passes but he has not shown the touch required to complete deep passes. Unfortunately this inability to connect on deep passes takes away Wallace's greatest threat to the opposing defense, but it is what it is.
