Time for my annual hat give-away competition! Last year, MAFishFan kicked our asses, nailing most of the division record on the nose. Whoever's closest overall gets a Dolphins hat of your choosing, totally free, all paid by me. Please also predict what each team's divisional record will be to potentially break ties. I'll kick it off with mine: AFC East 1. Patriots - 13-3 (5-1 div) 2. Dolphins - 10-6 (4-2 div) 3. Jets - 8-8 (2-4 div) 4. Bills - 5-11 (1-5 div)
going out on a limb homer picks... Miami 11-5 (4-2 DIV) New England 11-5 (3-3 DIV) NYJ 8-8 (3-3 DIV) BUF 6-10 (2-4 DIV)
New England: (12-4) (4-2 DIV) Dolphins: (9-7) (3-3 DIV) Jets: (8-8) (3-3 DIV) Bills: (6-10) (2-4 DIV)
NE is a huge question mark to me. Their roster outside Brady IMO may be the worst in the division. The best I see them finishing is 11-5 this season. The question is can we hit that mark. I have us at 10-6 with room in both directions. Ill go NE - 11-5 (4-2) MIA - 10-6 (4-2) Buffalo - 6-10 (3-3) NY - 5-11 (1-5) Edited to inclide division records. Done. Jets will be a disaster. I actually think they win less than five if not for Rex.
1. Patriots - 11-5 (4-2 div) 2. Dolphins - 9-7 (3-3 div) 3. Jets - 8-8 (3-3 div) 4. Bills - 6-10 (2-4 div)
Is this 2014 or 2005? It is literally the same story every year for 95% of us. We know the Pats are better and have no delusions We hate the Jets so much it doesn't matter. They CAN'T finish above us The Jills. Stupid Jills. When their defensive line pissed on our o-line and Thaddeus 6-th stringer picked apart our coverage with ease, it was a reflection of our haplessness, not their improvement. But we KNOW we are better than them
AFC East 1. Dolphins 11-5 (4-2 div) 2. Patriots 10-6 (4-2 div) 3. Jets - 8-8 (2-4 div) 4. Bills - 6-10 (1-5 div)
Manuel is terrible. A guy who constantly check downs but still turns the ball over. Rest of their team is pretty solid though. Jets played way over their heads last imo. 1) Patriots 12-4 (4-2) refs will give them a couple gms.1)Patriots 12-4 (4-2)2)Dolphins 8-8 (3-3)3)Bills 7-9 (2-4)4)Jets 6-10(3-3)
Pats 13 wins Dolphins 10 Bills 9 Jets 5 Miami and Buffalo are my sleeper teams for this year. Really like Buffalo's defense.
Thanks! You're too kind and the hat was a nice prize. Here's this year's guess: NE 11-5 (5-1) Miami 9-7 (4-2) Buffalo 7-9 (2-4) NY 5-11 (1-5)
AFC East 1. Miami Dolphins - 11-5 (4-2 division) 2. New England Patriots - 10-6 (4-2 division) 3. Buffalo Bills - 7-9 (2-4 division) 4. New York Jets - 5-11 (2-4 division)
True but it was the same story last year and they pulled off 8-8. Technically they should be a little better this year with WR help. I went 8-8 with them..scrappy bunch.
1. Patriots - 11-5 (4-2 div) 2. Dolphins - 10-6 (4-2 div) 3. Bills - 8-8 (3-3 div) 4. Jets - 5-11 (1-5 div)
Patriots 11-5 (4-2) Dolphins 9-7 (4-2) Jets 7-8-1 (3-2-1) Bills 4-11-1 (0-5-1) jills and and jests play to a tie
1. Patriots (12-4) [4-2] 2. Dolphins (9-7) [3-3] 3. Jets (6-10) [3-3] 4. Bills (5-11) [2-4] A struggle as I still expect 7-9 or 8-8 because, you know. But i'll go with 9-7.
Healthy Darrelle Revis (THE BEST when healthy), Brandon Browner (Top 15 according to Richard Sherman), Devin McCourty (Top 5), Chandler Jones (Top 5 AFC Pass Rusher), Rob Ninkovich (underrated work horse), Jerod Mayo (Top 10), Jamie Collins (freak, in his 2nd year), healthy Vince Wilfork (top 5), Dont'a Hightower, underrated no longer Julian Edelman, healthy Rob Gronkowski (will be ready week 1, THE BEST when healthy), Danny Amendola (healthy so far, great when he is), Shane Vereen (premiere pass catching RB), Ridley (great when he doesn't put the ball on the ground) Sebastian Vollmer (All-Pro OT that can play guard, didn't play last season, healthy now), Nate Solder (star OT), Aaron Dobson (healthy and in his 2nd year), Tim Wright, Kenbrell Thompkins (2nd year, looked great so far).. headed by Bill Belichick.. and TOM BRADY.. I'm just saying..
Miami 10-6 (5-1) Pats 10-6 (4-2) Jets 6-10 (2-4) Bills 6-10 (1-5) Woomp there it is!!!..and a HOME playoff game!! "Who let the dogs out?"
lol oh its all good man, I'm a peaceful guy not a troll just didn't like the guy downplaying our players that's all
I think you guys will be 2nd in the division and a wildcard spot.. Jets and Bills don't stand a chance
I remember last year before the season started many fans on here were predicting the Jets would be so bad they would get the first pick in last years draft. Instead the Jets beat out the Dolphins for 2nd place in the AFC East. I can't stand the Jets or their fans, but like him or not, Ryan gets the most out of his players. So I don't see them being a mess when they play against the Dolphins. The fact is that no matter what their record is during a season, the Jets always seem to play the Dolphins tough. If Ryan were the Dolphins HC, I would predict the Dolphins to beat the Jets twice this year. With Philbin as the HC and Ryan with the Jets, I think the season series is once again going to be 1-1.
