Dawn Aponte probably has little to no input on cuts, especially from 83 to 74. Those type of players are camp bodies, etc. If they are on the phone all morning, something is up. It may be nothing at all. We'll see.

If it's a move of Moore the Phins need to add depth at QB, no?

If it's actually true that something could be up, they may be talking to the Bucs about Jonathan Casillas, Mason Foster or Tim Wright. Those are the best guesses I have.

Wouldn't shock me though if the Eagles still have Evan Mathis on the block and the Dolphins are considering adding him. Philbin may be sticking with his boy Daryn Colledge for now, but his statements about that position have sounded very pessimistic, and Billy Turner is now in a walking boot.

Also they've got to figure something out at kicker and Dawn Aponte would definitely need to be involved if they were going to buy a veteran like Jay Feely.

Why involve the capologist/contracts person in this round of cuts... Unless they're cutting a veteran and/or offering a contract to someone outside the team?

Intetesting but could very well be nothing.

Also ugh celly? Really? First off I hate slang that makes the word LONGER and second off cell phone is
Already slang for cellular. So we need slang for slang now?

Never mind, it's too late for what was already a weak and obscure reference :)

dammit. hate the patriots. probably a low round pick. still, not like Patriots line was doing a great job protecting Brady last season.

Years ago (before full keypads were common) I had a girl I was texting to ask me why I spell everything out in text messages (as opposed to short hand or using just "R" and "U" for example) like I was the odd one. :/

For the record, I know I'm odd, but I couldn't believe what I was doing was considered abnormal.

Wright will be a solid weapon for Brady…but I gotta say losing Mankins will hurt. He was a big piece of that line.

If the Patriots can get away with losing Logan Mankins and rolling on like nothing happens with Dave DeGuglielmo as their OL Coach, I'm going to be pissed.

Brady was sacked 40 times last season. that's 10 more than what he averaged the previous two seasons and before that he was in low to mid-20s. Losing Mankins can't help that trend no matter how much the patsies fans think the coaching staff can compensate for anyone. IMO, Brady had one of his worst seasons because he was under more pressure.

Tampa's got Lavonte David who will for certain be a 1000 snap type of linebacker. You can only have two of those and they may have signed Dane Fletcher as a free agent specifically to be that second guy that takes 1000 snaps. He's been playing MLB too, which is Mason Foster's position.

They didn't give Dane Fletcher big money or anything. But Foster has never been reliable in coverage and if you really think about Lovie Smith's tendencies over the years he wants that MLB to be a guy that can drop down the deep middle in the Tampa Two. He wants linebackers in the nickel that can cover ground and be reliable in coverage. Dane Fletcher was a coverage specialist in New England.

I hear you but Lovie is a Tampa 2 disciple and it's much easier to cover a zone than to cover a man. I just don't see them letting any of their top backers go.
