We've stayed healthy at WR too. That is part of the reason for the log jam. Had one of the top guys gotten hurt badly in camp, then there's no more log jam. The log jam also created some great competition.
Most years, a Cone and/or a Hazel makes the roster no question. I cannot remember us going 6 deep in starter worthy WRs before, ever.
Ill be honest that I'm not a huge fan of Matthews. I think he is a good #3 but not much else. Where I think Landry can be a great #3 or maybe even #2 someday. No issue with the logjam because we have 5 capable WR.
I'd rather have Matthews than Hartline. To me Hartline is the odd man out. The extra yards and TD guys are Gibson, Wallace, Landry, Matthews figures out in there too. Damian Williams can play all over. Hartline is only a safety comeback route valve.
I think one of Tannehills problems is that Hartline is his safety blanket. Not that Hartline is bad, but your safety blanket shouldn't be a finesse guy. It should be someone cal able of fighting for tough catches in coverage. Now it isn't really Brians fault and I'd obviously keep him. Just speaking out loud.
Matthews has/had maturity issues. Gibson was coming off a bad knee injury. Can't blame them for going after Landry.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 2m Seahawks released Eric Winston, who some thought could start for them at RT.
Aaron Wilson @RavensInsider · 3m Miami Dolphins worked out tight end Jacob Maxwell today, according to a source
Might be late but... Jets release 2014 sixth-round pick QB Tajh Boyd Thought this guy had 1st round talent before he fell in the draft.
Major Wright cut by Tampa Bay..... very interesting. Depending on price, you have to take a serious look. Still only 26 and would be perfect compliment to Delmas.
If I were Hickey, I'd be watching to see if the Texans cut Clemons and be resigning him in a heartbeat.
Would love to see Connor Shaw or Matt Barkley added. Eagles haven't waived Barkley but they've let it be known he can be traded for. Lazor loves him.
He's kind of on the bubble for the 4th safety. They have Swearinger and Kendrick Lewis as starters, I think, and backups from among Shiloh Keo, Clemons, and Eddie Pleasant, who led them in defensive snaps in preseason.
I keep looking to see if the 9er's cut Martin! Have followed that out there some and it seems that he is performing pretty much the same as he did in Miami. Not very well!
Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that the Browns have released former third-round pick CB Leon McFadden. Recent reports mentioned that McFadden was squarely on the bubble, despite being drafted just a year ago. This leaves OLB Barkevious Mingo and DL Armonty Bryant as the last remaining players taken in that draft class. McFadden, 23, was set to make $526,938 for the upcoming season. We’ll have to see if he’s claimed off of waivers in the coming days. McFadden was a well regarded corner prospect a year ago. We could use one more corner on the depth chart maybe.
well, we get a draft pick if he makes the 53 I believe... a 7th rounder.. if he doesn't make it, we don't...
The Texans cut Max Bullough!!! Claim him and cut Freeny! That's what I'd do if we're awarded Bullough.
Ever hear why he disappeared before their third game? I thought he was a terrific corner when healthy.
oh they are having a presser? Adam Caplan @caplannfl 4m Intrigue builds. RT @HBalzer721: Appears both Michael Sam and Ethan Westbrooks make roster today. We'll know in 40 minutes at Rams presser. he's totally made the 53... attention whores those Rams...
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 2m Saints released WR Robert Meachem and CB Champ Bailey. Fins won't be in on him, but interesting note, maybe the end for him.
