Then there's this... Omar Kelly โ@OmarKelly ยท 33s I've been informed claims are at noon today, which means practice squad guys can be signed at 12:01pm.
Hoping for Seastrunk and Max Bullough here..go get em Fins...I think Hickey has done an outstanding job so far...been sooooooooo long...I think one would have to go all the way back to the Bobby Beathard years!
The guys that stand out to me: QB Connor Shaw RB Lache Seastrunk RB Henry Josey TE/FB MarQueis Gray TE Chase Ford OG Garrett Reynolds OT Micheal Williams DT Landon Cohen DE/LB Marcus Benard DE Israel Idonije DS Duke Ihenacho DS Alden Darby Perhaps also worth mentioning... QB G.J. Kinne RB Dion Lewis RB Jeff Demps RB Jonas Gray RB Matthew Tucker RB Evan Royster WR Mark Harrison WR Vincent Brown WR Stephen Hill TE Nic Jacobs OC John Estes OG Jon Halapio DL Joe Kruger DL Jerel Worthy DE Ikponmwosa Igbinosun LB Max Bullough CB Bryan McCann CB Darren Woodard CB Shaquille Richardson DS Josh Aubrey DS Major Wright DS Kenny Ladler DS Malcolm Bronson PK Connor Barth
This should be interesting. Not only to see who the Fins claim, but also to see who will be available on waivers tomorrow. Say 30 claims go through today, that means 30 players who initially made a 53, will be on waivers for tomorrow.
I liked Josey all preseason. More so than Seastrunk. He has great flexibility in the way he can be used. However, I am perplexed as to why Philly cut him. He really looked that good. But as I think about Darkwa and Williams, you have two very good sized backs that should do well in this offense.
If he couldn't beat out an undrafted free agent for the third running back spot on a very mediocre Redskins team, I really don't see him being better than the RB's the Dolphins have on their final 53 man roster. If the Dolphins are looking at upgrading any positions, it should be at the LB and offensive line positions. The TE position is also a position which makes more sense trying to upgrade than the RB position.
Adam Schefter โ@AdamSchefter 11m Michael Sam has not been told of any teams that claimed him on waivers. Appears he went unclaimed. Now free to sign with a practice squad. Not Miami related... but proof names will start pouring out soon.
poor guy, he should make a team, in hindsight of all of this, he should have just kept his mouth shut maybe, i think he has cost himself millions because of this
TE Justin Perillo is a guy the Packers cut and the fanbase wasn't happy about, just to keep the old philbin to GB connection in discussion
He has become a huge spectacle, but who knows if his fate would have been any different (just less publicized). ... Now I'm just wondering when the media will figure out what straight players passed through waivers.
Problem for me is I like all three of our TE. If we sign another I'd rather cut someone at another position....Fox or Freeney I guess.
CB interesting, who was cut, anyone knows ? he has 2 tackles in the preseason, one in game 2 the other in game 4, thats about the stuff that shows up on the stat sheet 6-1 200 lbs, maybe more of a S project....don jones, michael thomas are in trouble http://www.nfl.com/draft/2014/profiles/sammy-seamster?id=2549943
Adam Beasleyโ@AdamHBeasley 22s Tommy Streeter to the Dolphins practice squad, I'm told. Streeter brings some serious speed and height. Interesting project anyways. 4.37 combine time.
Andrew Abramson โ@AbramsonPBP 28 sec Sammy Seamster could give the Dolphins a SIXTH undrafted rookie on the 53-man roster and 12th rookie overall That's pretty crazy...
Oh great. Pats were benefactor of bidding war involving Jerry Jones. And Dallas did not win!! This could be bad.
