It's official Gronk is playing now! a healthy Gronk, healthy Amendola, healthy Vereen, Ridley, Edelman emerged into what he did, 2nd year and much improved Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins, and added TE Tim "slash" Wright and Brandon LaFell I'm very optimistic .... especially since we get back Sebastian Vollmer at OT, guy is a beast, missed him last year... game time!

He has been going deep this year in the preseason with Thompkins and Dobson who look much better then last year.. and Brandon LaFell has been going deep as well especially with his bigger body and frame. Tim Wright is another deep threat outside the 20 and down the seam. He is also hit the mid range but he has an elite quarterback at his disposal so just like Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Manning, Tom will take his shots over the top. He looked incredibly sharp and accurate down field this preseason

Brady getting benched in a pre-season game...elite!

 

Brady looked sharp most of the pre-season, but I like our odds of limiting his deep shots with our pass rush. Obviously the pass game rules are such that the O always has the advantage, but I think our pass rush gives us better odds than most. I think Brady will try to kill us with those short passes underneath. He's so good at it that it's almost impossible to stop. You almost have to hope for a few drops or batted balls.

I think defensively the keys are to get enough pressure that Brady is limited to just those short passes and to tackle well and immediately when they do complete those. When they run we have to stuff that so it's not enough to keep the chains moving. That should get them off the field on enough third downs to keep their scoring in check.

On O, I want RT to run enough to keep them off balance. I want the O overall to run the ball often and well enough to keep the conversions make-able. And I want RT to make the right pre-snap reads on when to run and pass.

 

Was David Givens, Troy Brown, David Patten and Deion Branch all-world?

Do receivers have to be all-world,... I think we did just fine last year with a winning record ... I think that Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola (fully healthy), Aaron Dobson, Kenbrell Thompkins and Brandon LaFell are all good receivers who have their own strengths and versatility, are smart, know how to get open and run great routes and fit our system to the teeth. They will also be helped by the vertical and in-seam presence of Rob Gronkowski and Timothy Wright.

Ryan Tannehill didn't play against Vince Wilfork, Jerod Mayo, and Darrelle Revis last year.. and a much improved interior front, that harassed Cam Newton. Remember, Revis was hurt the entire year last year, yet STILL had a probowl season with a couple of picks... and remember, he is not even 30 yet, he is only 29, still in his prime and is fully healthy now in a defense that plays to his strengths as opposed to a cover 2 which Tampa had him in
