To piggyback on byroan here's more: http://appleinsider.com/articles/14/07/16/nfl-sunday-ticket-coming-to-ios-mac-for-2014-season-with-no-satellite-subscription-needed Look at the chart.
I wish it would be available on more providers. I like Directv but it's tough paying so much. I'm sure I could reduce my bill if it was available on Time Warner since I have their highest internet package.
$239/16 = $14.93 a week. Hmmm, that would actually save me money as I spend $14 to $35 a week going to the bar.
This would be pretty cool. I would assume you can only watch on one device though right? Like if me and my wife both wanted to watch a different game on our phones it probably wouldn't be allowed?
I worked retail and I would regularly change prices at the register on items because I realize that they are overpriced compared to manufacturing cost by a ridiculous amount. Its not deserving a special price IMO its paying what something is worth.
still rather watch on on a big screen at home. I called for discount, but they have no discounts at this time, Hmmm, will call again when it is on my bill next month. not paying $39.99 for 6 months
In more of their "hidden fees and rules", you cannot cancel or change after a certain point. I would tackle the pricing right away. I know for sure, once the season starts, you can't cancel. Try to address soon.
It is.......in Canada ;p Laws prevent it from being exclusive. I'm a cord cutter though so I get mine through *cough*other*cough* means. If they offered a decent priced online version that worked well here...I'd get it.
Assuming it was a small amount, that would have gotten someone a warning the first time, and fired the second time where I worked. As a manager, I got a report with every single price change from the previous day, had to research every one, and send an explanation to my district manager for every one over $5.
Isn't that part of the point of Apple TV though? I mean I can mirror any other app on my TV with it now.
Every year I try and cancel DirectTV and every year they entice me to stay by throwing deep discounts my way and free Sunday Ticket. Nobody should pay full price for Sunday Ticket. At least 50% off is the standard if you call and work the system.
Can I use Apple TV to watch NFLSUNDAYTICKET.TV? No, Apple TV is not a supported device for the 2014 season. This is straight from the site. So if you know a way around it let me know please.
Seems to be some pretty heavy restrictions on the streaming this year. A lot of folks are unhappy that the Madden deal isn't returning.
Well I was waiting for that, mine as well put my preorder on now, because I am def getting the game this year.
Just got setup for DTV install tomorrow. We'll see how the wireless genie minis work. Not sure I can actually use two of the three i ordered since I only have two co-ax outlets.
alright, got it for free this season. they charged me the 1st payment, I did the chat online and got that credited along with the full price credit. I thought maybe he was dicking me around and just credited me and said you have it for free. I'm still active and subscribed
I looked on the Direct TV website today and it seems I can get their "Choice" package with 2 Boxes, which includes Sunday Ticket for $62 for the first year. Seems like a pretty good deal. My Question is, what do the people who go with Direct TV use for internet?
I've got Time Warner cable. Send me a PM if you want a directv referral. It's $10 off a month for 10 months. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
You can go with any internet you want thats available in your area. None are available to me other than Hughes Net, so thats what I use.
So I ordered Direct TV yesterday. I currently have ATT UVerse and I was able to bundle my Uverse internet with Direct TV and was able to save an additional $10 off of my bill.
I live close to St. Louis so most people use charter for Internet. *edit* Just got off the phone with directv and got lucky... Guy was a football fan and I got Sunday ticket max for a pretty hefty discount and no upgrade fee. He also claimed they are going to kidnap tony romo and lock him in a hole somewhere...... Or go to a sports bar. Thats what I did for the first five years after I turned 21 to watch the Fins before I got DirecTV.
So do you just walk into a car dealership and pay the sticker price? Sunday Ticket is a loss leader for Directv. They use it to hook subscribers. Anybody that they get to actually pay full price for it is just a bonus. And I don't consider it asking for a discount or being special. All I'm doing is simply asking them how valuable my business is to them. If it's valuable, then they will make concessions to keep it. If not, they can tell me to pound sand and I can either take it or go somewhere else. I love Directv. But after they stuck me with full price ST for 2 straight years due to a new contract I had to sign for a new box, I told them that i wasn't happy and that if they wanted to keep me as a customer they needed to prove it. Voila, free Sunday Ticket Max, 6 months of HBO/Max and Showtime plus a $30 bill credit for 12 months.
