I think its great we have posters like LITP..and AaronRogers that come here and can have football discussions without the drama and BS. I dont question his fanhood one bit, and if you read his well thought out resposes...you can tell hes a very knowledgeable fan. I wish we had more of them like that....I can do without the trolls though.

We are supposed to be a welcoming community. If someone comes in here with knowledge, wants to have a conversation and not be a troll, they should have our respect. Having member that are fans of other teams means we have a good board and aren't a bunch of ***holes

I know you werent saying anything bad bro....

Personally I love to talk football, and I love to learn as much as I can about it. When you have decent posters like LITP..or AR...you get a perspective of the team we are going up against. Im with you....I cant stand the trolls, and that is not something I would do, sign up for an account on another teams site just to go and create hate and discontent...

Hmm...well....when it comes to the Jets, all bets are off for that above statement. I do enjoy bantering back and forth with the few Jets fans who frequent the site.

And...when I first signed up in 2004....back when tp.com was part of another site...I was a stranger. But..Ive made some awsome friends in the decade Ive been part of this group. When my father was killed back in 2011...this site had ALOT to do with getting me though a tough time. Im pretty proud of our community....and dont mind sharing it one bit with other like minded fans of any color and flavor!

As most of us know, it's huge if a team can get to Brady with their front four. Wake and Vernon need to be the beasts they are. We have good depth and rotational guys along the DL. Maybe they did have stopping NE and Brady in mind when building this team. Who knows?.. but that appears to be one advantage we could possibly have this Sunday.

Mike Wallace, on how much offense Dolphins showed:"We have a big playbook, so we didn’t run hardly anything in the preseason. Maybe 12-15%.”

Be interested in seeing what kind of kinks Coyle comes up w/ seeing as he's got some good experience going against Brady et al.

Main concern is special teams. The coverage, the kicking, the returns are shaky. That side of the ball can kill us regardless of how well the rest play.

I agree. I'm concerned the LB play may not be better. I'm concerned that we will not be able to run. I'm hopeful but concerned that our offense is not what we hope it is. I'm concerned about the refs. If the call it fair, we should get calls against Revis. He is a mugger. I am concerned that Finigan is somehow badass again. I'm concerned that Taylor will get the illegal contact calls we hope Revis gets. I'm concerned that we will be out coached at half time as usual. I'm concerned but excited. Enjoy the game. I'm counting the days to game 3. I'm flying down for it. Club level. YAY

Well if we're going to beat them this would be the game as opposed to cold December in NE with Browner and Revis.

Browner is suspended, Revis should be on Wallace most of the game. Hopefully Charles Clay improves on last year, this should be a good look at what he can do. Patriots first game adjusting without Mankins, getting to Brady is tough but will be key. Though of course a downside is our offense in their first game with a new OC being against the Pats. Who knows though, maybe it'll be like the Wildcat.

Looking to see what Moreno and Clay, as well as Landry, can do on Sunday. Plus the OLine, of course. And Tannehill, who wasn't exactly sharp against Dallas in the biggest preseason game.

one thing i thought Philbin has always done a great job with is halftime 3-4 minute management. Hes agressive, and often gets the ball back last when it does not seem likely to happen at first.

Your staff obviously brought in two of our cuts to milk information from, they obviously were not good enough for our roster, we here knew they were in trouble, what do you have to say about that form of strategy by your staff, you know using players to rat on their former teams with no other intention for those players ..I wouldn't be able to root for something like that...play the fu&&in game fair, trying to get info so you can predict what were going to do is strait up pu##y

What do I have to say to that?

A win is a win. And I'll be happy when the Pats start the season 1-0, regardless of your opinion on the coaching staff's strategy.

To be fair, anyone opening the season against us would have been a victim. It's just unfortunate for you that it had to be the Dolphins.

This is not new. Not for Belichick or the NFL. It's smart football. Belichick lives and breathes preparation and it's why his team wins this division every year Tom Brady isn't on IR. Nothing wrong with gamesmanship.

I don't mind opposing fans coming here during game week and talking some trash. In fact, I welcome it with open arms.

Last year though, we had a handful of straight clowns talking **** all week and then disappeared when we beat you guys in December. No respect for those types.

So don't be a coward if we beat you on Sunday.

I wish Miami would claim a couple of Pats waiver wire players at the end of camp too. Seems like BB claims one or two every year. Last year, he claimed AJ Francis and Chris Barker.

Last year NE scored 27 in game 1, and they were about to score 27 in game 2 when Thomas int happened. In 2012 NE scored 28 and 23 against us. That gives us a picture of what to expect.
I am not sure we can hold them under 25, but we have to do much better.

As far as the offense we've been inconsistent, scoring 0, 16, 17, 24 against NE in the last 2 years. The good news is we are trending up, scoring better each game and each season. The trending part indicates better QB play, better talent on O, better gameplan.

It would shock me if NE scores more than 27, unless turnovers in own zone or special team breakdowns.

It will be a major achievement for us to score 27 on NE.

I doubt it. I know that you're defense is improved, but the offense the Dolphins are bringing to this season is quite different than the one from last season. The scheme attacks defenses. We are going to score more than 20 points. I like our chances. I am looking forward to the game.

temperature this summer in boston (except a couple of days last week) has been downright beautiful: 75-78 degrees everyday, with only a handful of days with any actual humidity to speak of, none of which anyone from the south would really call humid.

It's embarrassing dude that your team takes those measures..and the nfl should take their own measures to keep it from happening...all they have to do is implement a no talk policy when it comes to situations like this, I mean you have to because it's just another form of cheating, which you guys know all about ya know

I'd like a rule implemented where opposing fans have to reveal what their home board is.. What happens is they come here and think they can say anything they want, if they let us know their home board then if they don't home themselves to a higher standard in terms of football banter we can always go to their home and call them out, with those guys last year who were doucherats I continually asked them and they wouldn't reveal, because they knew they were being trolls.

Why dont we start a cross-forum area for fans of the AFC east....same forum exists on the other team sites, and anyone who participates there has to agree to participate at the others as well.

24 points was the biggest offensive output for the Dolphins against the Pats in a few years. Keep in mind that in that game we were missing Wilfork (who has had a very good preseason), Mayo, and our top CB was coming off an injury. This year we have Wilfork and Mayo back, Collins started to come on late last season and in the playoffs and has continued his improvement into preseason, and we have a better CB1 than we did last year. Plus, Jones is poised to have a breakout year. If I recall correctly, he played well in both Miami games last season.

I have faith in Belichick and Patricia to come up with a defensive gameplan to hold Miami to under 20 points. Especially since they have the personnel on defense this year to do things they haven't been able to in a while.

Well, Indy did it to us in the playoffs last year when they signed Branch. For some reason I doubt you were complaining then.

Your improvements on defense are going to be offset by our improvements on offense, home-field advantage and the element of surprise. So to me this is a game that can go either way... too many unknowns to tell for sure what will happen.

I'm saying that it's wrong, whoever does it, if there is no intention on having the player on your roster because of their football skills then it's cheating IMO, are you telling me thigpen and jones are going to see the field?, if so then it's not, I take it back..
