Right I get that it's a much different era then it was in the 80s and 90s regarding the secondary champions my issue is that as soon as a wrestler wins the title he automatically becomes a jobber to the point where it's almost better if he never won the title in the first place. When Ambrose was the US champion how many times did he even defend the thing? It's stuff like that they drives me crazy.

I have no issue if the WWE wants to have the IC/US champ lost a RAW or PPV match to the World champion once and awhile but the IC/US champion shouldn't be losing matches left and right like how they have been booked for years. Dolph Ziggler should be having 10 minute matches against the Kofi Kingstons, Damien Sandows and Mizs of the WWE helping put the title over every week on TV.

As far as the tag titles, I think they have been doing a better job with them over the past year but would still like to see more teams in the division. It's the perfect opportunity for these NXT guys they want to bring up but maybe still have things they need to work on to ease them into the WWE style (I.e. what they did with Roman Reigns).

The second installment of the Monday Night Wars has been out for a couple of days. I don't ever remember hearing that Sting was slated to be the original third man of the NWO before. If I did, I completely forgot about it.

How different would everything have been if Sting turned out to be in Hogan's spot? I think I agree with Hall who said he didn't think it would work. But wow, imagine the possibilities of where it would have gone?

Watchign NXT.....

Is there a more crappy Tag Team than the Ascension? They have the title for the last 15 years on NXT..and they are STILL horrific. There is not a discernible talent between Connor and Victor. Squash match after squash match and they absolutely suck.

Not even the rub of invincibility helps them.

Bad Mic work.
Terrible work rate.
Weak moves.
No wind.
Gimmick is ok....but it falls flat....doesn't work because they blow.

Son of a *****...they got Sasha Banks jobbing now on NXT? She gets squashed by Bayley?

This NXT product is more infuriating than the WWE version.

Really? I thought that Sting being the 3rd guy was common knowledge if Hogan didn't decide to turn. I'm sure you heard it before but just forgot about it. I haven't seen the 2nd or 3rd episode yet but I'm assuming that they talked about trying to sign Bret Hart to be the 3rd man as well that summer.

But yeah I don't think it would have worked nearly as well if Sting or Bret or someone else was the third man. Hogan was just the perfect choice, perfect storyline and it was the absolute perfect time for him to turn. Neither Sting or Bret had the mike skills like Hogan to really sell the "take over" and I'm not even sure if Sting went nWo if the fans would have even booed him or the group.

I've said it before and I'll say it again but the WWE Network really needs to add a "Just Added Section". If you don't check out the weekly schedule you'll miss out on a lot of new content added unless you randomly play around with the app.

This new WWE show on Youtube is actually pretty funny:

This is the type of stuff they should put on the Network in between shows that don't end perfectly at the top of the hour as filler.

Bah. You are right. Will watch it later. I have been inside dingy bars and clubs working on my stand-up act as I have my first headlining gig this weekend.

I did, finally, watch the Royal Rumble match between Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt. And while I don't know if it is the match of the year everyone told me it was, I thought it was one of the tightest matches I have seen in awhile. Definitely could not see through their work.

Finally saw the 2nd episode of the Monday Night Wars, it was good but yeah definitely starting to put the WWE biased spin on things. But overall still really good and interesting stuff. Can't wait for the Nitros to go live on the Network on Monday.

Watched the 3rd episode of the Monday Night Wars last night and it was very eh, awful compared to the 2 previous ones. It was like the person in charge of putting it together had ADD. It goes from talking about the Brian Pillman/Steve Austin home invasion in 1996 to talking about how the WWE finally won the ratings war for the first time in nearly 2 years in 1998 thus skipping major events like Bret Hart leaving and Mike Tyson.

I'm assuming that that stuff will be covered in the next few episodes because it's suppose to be at least a 6 episode series right? Otherwise wow they really dropped the ball. I just don't understand why they didn't or don't talk about each of the individual years from 1995 to 2001 and the major events that took place during that time. Both the 1st and 2nd episode did that, not sure why that had an issue with the 3rd.

Along with the over 100 hours of Nitro episodes being added this week, the WWE is adding a bunch of Attitude episodes of RAW and Smackdown.

I read that the Monday Night Wars series is actually closer to 20 episodes, which makes the third one that more odd. I agree that it seemed disjointed, as it also forgot to mention the fact that some guy named Bill Goldberg, who was pretty important for awhile.

I did get a "kick" out of the footage of Terry Funk piledriving someone in a barn, and receiving a superkick from a horse for his troubles. I laughed REALLY hard at that.

Oh wow 20 episodes? Sounds awesome to me if true. Yeah I didn't even mention anything about WCW because I figured since episode 2 was all about the nWo that episode 3 would be an all WWE one.

I did like how they highlighted Sunny and Sable though, as they were really important in the history of the WWE, especially Sable with the Monday Nigt Wars.

The Funk thing was funny as he'll though, WWE should do a show based on bloopers las the Botchamania YouTube series.

But disjointed is the perfect description of that episode. Apparently episode 4 focuses on DX according to the description.

Got to love the WWE sometimes, according to Dave Meltzer, Zack Ryder has been complaining lately that he's not even been asked to come to RAW tapings, so the WWE finally brought him in to have him job to Rusev.

Speaking of Ryder, not sure if anyone heard the awesome 2 part Podcast with Steve Austin and Mick Foley but they talk a little bit about Ryder and I forget if it was Austin or Foley but they asked Ryder why his push randomly stopped and he was back to being barely used or a jobber and Ryder's response was "I don't know". Foley and Austin both couldn't believe that he never asked anyone in the front office about it and went on a long rant about how guys today need to stop being worried about asking someone questions and that neither Austin or Foley were ever afraid to go to Vince with things and that they think Vince respects guys who do that more. And its funny, he finally speaks up and gets to job. But I guess that's the difference between when Austin/Foley were wrestling and today.

Also the 2 part Jericho/Batista Podcast was a great listen too. Really like and respect Batista a lot more now.

Jericho also posted on Twitter the other day that his guest on Wednesday and Friday will be Triple H. Should be kind of interesting to see what Jericho asks. Obviously I doubt we will get any inside dirt that we haven't heard before but definitely interesting that Triple H is doing a Podcast.

This Nikki/Brie storyline is beyond awful now. I guess that the WWE will put a AJ/Brie vs. Paige/Nikki tag team at NOC then have the Brie/Nikki match at the October PPV but I wonder if the "feud" even gets that far. I can absolutely see the WWE stopping it and using the storyline as a way that the Bellas were doing it to sucker Stephanie McMahon into something and the whole thing was a giant trick or something dumb like that.

Also probably not the best idea to have AJ go face to face with Stephanie mainly due to just how tiny AJ comes off compared to Stephanie.

Watched the 4th episode of the Monday Night Wars that focused strictly on DX. Thought it was a really good look at the group but they left out how the group actually started (which is kind of weird) and how Triple H turned on the group and ended it but I guess that would have taken more than an hour to discuss. I had forgotten that Rick Rude was in DX for a few weeks and then randomly jumped to WCW and was on a taped RAW and Nitro on the same night. Blows my mind that the WWF wouldn't have had a solid contract for Rude or in the very least a no compete clause, although it wasn't like Rude leaving was a big deal at all after the first 10 minutes he showed up and the day after so everyone would talk about it as he was pretty much a non factor the rest of the way.

It seems like they are going to be giving some wrestlers/groups their own episodes. Mick Foley tweeted he's getting his own. So you can bet Austin, Mr. McMahon, The Rock, and Undertaker will get their own. I think that's nice and all but I would still like to see a year by year break down and hopefully WCW gets some more episodes of their own. I mean I'd think Sting, maybe Luger, Goldberg for sure, DDP, the cruiserweights and maybe Bret Hart (so everyone can talk about how WCW screw him up) would get their own.

But good to see the series back on track for this episode.

I thought this was a well done episode too. And it makes sense to leave the break up out of it as that happened at a WrestleMania, if I am not mistaken, and this is focusing on the war between WCW and WWE. In other words, I don't think that angle was pivotal to the war as much as it was within just the WWE, if that makes sense.

Rick Rude had a per appearance deal with WWE which happened quite a bit in those days. In fact, I think the contracts these days are structured the way they are due to situations like this. It was a brilliant move by Bischoff. They just didn't have anything for him to do beyond that first appearance.

Yeah Triple H turned on X-Pac at WM15 to join Chyna in the Corporation. I just thought that they would mention it as it led into Triple H turning into a main event player etc. Because you know that Triple H episode is going to be a major fluff piece.

As far as Rude, you would have thought that after what happened with Luger and Madusa the WWF would have been smarter but maybe they didn't feel Rude was worth locking down and ultimately they were right because like you said WCW had knowing for him and really all he did in DX was stand behind Shawn, Triple H and Chyna. He was kind of out of place there to begin with.

I'd love to see a Monday Night Wars episode just on all the guys that jumped from one company to the other and even include ECW in it too. I know they already covered Luger, Madusa, Rude and X-Pac and will absolutely cover Bret Hart, Jericho, Big Show, probably Hennig, Jarrett (twice), Radicalz etc. But I'd love for the talking heads to discuss the lesser wrestlers like the Big Boss Man, Brian Adams, Bulldog, Neidhart etc.

I watched the first episode of Nitro last night and man its no surprise that WCW took over almost immediately. RAW looked and felt stale since 1994 and over on WCW you had Hogan, Flair, Sting, Macho Man and Lex Luger right off the bat on the first episode. Also the look of the show was just so different and new. Yeah they were at the mall but it was still something different compared to RAW. On RAW you'd get 1 good match and a bunch of awful jobber matches plus guys the WWF's major stars like HBK, Undertaker, Bret Hart and Diesel didn't wrestle each week and usually it was only 1 time a month. Credit WCW for changing the TV formula and giving wrestling fans stars to watch each week.

Of course now we could use a break from seeing the stars like Cena and Orton in every segment and wrestling sometimes 2 times a week (if you're brave enough to watch Smackdown).

The one thing I miss is Nitro going on location, I loved the old MGM Disney Nitros or when they went to Florida for Spring Break and wrestled over a pool. Wish the WWE would do more stuff like that as they haven't changed the RAW set that much since 1997 and now all their shows look the same because of costs.

Meltzer is reporting that the WWE and Brock Lesnar have a deal in place that the WWE can use Brock for any RAW and/or PPV whenever they feel like it however if he appears he will be paid on a pro-rated basis.

While this is certainly good news I still think the WWE should hold him off of the October, December and February PPVs as it will make his appears at Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and WM that much more special. The only problem is Brock needs to stay a heel and after Cena there aren't any real main event level faces to challenge him and the only other main eventers that would make sense he should face would be Randy Orton and Batistia, if he decides to come back. Otherwise maybe you throw Bray Wyatt out there and hope fans can get behind him?

there are plenty of main event faces for him to destroy. Hand him Jericho..then do a squash program with Ambrose (it will work and help Ambrose' rep as a nutcase that you can't kill), then Either Reigns or a Returning Bryan.

My fantasy book has him defending at WM against Undertaker in Taker's retirement match....Have Taker win....vacate.....and then do a Title tourney.

Jericho is gone at Night of Champions though. If he wasn't I'd agree Jericho would be a perfect opponent for Brock because he does have some star power. Really the WWE should have had a Brock/Jericho match at NOC and keep Cena off TV until October and have him challenge Brock at Survivor Series. Then you can sell the fact Cena has been away training and learning how to beat Brock. Much better than the rushed "I want my rematch and I'm going to beat your butt" story they're going with. Hell they could bring in a UFC guy like Ken Shamrock or Tito Ortiz or someone that beat Brock in the UFC (if Dana White will allow it) that's helping train Cena to be ready for him.

But I mean would the average fan really buy the WWE Network (for only $9.99 a month with a 6 month subscription) to see a Lesnar vs. Sheamus or RVD or Big Show or Henry? The only other face that I'd be interested in seeing is Ziggler against Brock mainly because Ziggler's selling would be great although I would fear for Ziggler's life during that match.

I wouldn't have him go anywhere near Ambrose or Reigns unless it was at WM and he was going to drop the title to them. Having him squash either guy right now at this point in their careers would do more harm than good.

If WM was in Texas this year I wouldn't mind that Brock face Taker with Taker winning the title and setting up a tournament at Extreme Rules.

Vince is apparently really high up on Rusev and they might just carry his undefeated streak until at least WM.

If I were a betting man I might throw good money at a Rusev/Cena WM match.

So the Big Show is rumored to be Lesnar's next opponent/feud. And the WWE is surprised that no one is watching RAW anymore and they can't get more people to buy the WWE Network (for only $9.99). I mean seriously does anyone want to see them wrestle again? Why does Show keep getting these title shots when he's not over anymore and no one will buy him as a serious threat. The WWE should either feed Brock Sheamus or turn Orton face again. At least those will be fresh matches and maybe even the Orton one has potential to be half way decent if Orton is on his game. Seriously after the Big Show feud we're going to get that Kane/Lesnar match up. Ugh.

I wish. I can mimic his face pretty good. Wrestling has been god awful recently. I mean terrible. Even my son is like "meh" when I tell him smackdown or raw is on. I may watch some tonight, but honestly I have RAW and Smackdown recorded still from last week, and I havent even glanced at it. From the dirtsheets it seems I am not missing anything.

And now big show and lesnar!??!? lmao wow you called that months ago Finkle. At least that means Brock is beating Cena again at NOC !? At least I hope so....

Sounds like Lesnar will win again at NOC. I think once it was reported that Lesnar and the WWE agreed to a new deal where he can work more dates whenever they want him too it calmed everyone down about Cena winning. Of course its Vince so you never know. He could wake up tomorrow and change his mind.

As far as Big Show, I think both him and Kane have it in their contracts that they get at least 1 PPV WWE title match per year. I mean it wouldn't be a big deal if they had a really good undercard and that was the real selling point instead of the title match.

My advice if you're burnt out on the current product, I started over the weekend rewatching the nWo ERA PPVs, Nitros, Clashes. I started with Bash at the Beach, which outside of the two cruiserweight matches and the main event is almost unwatchable and its not like the main event was very good from a wrestling stand point but obviously historical as hell. You'd think a PPV like that that you know will be getting a lot of eyes watching your product you'd load up the undercard with good match ups but a lot of the important guys aren't wrestling or stuck in tag team matches. Instead you get John Tenta vs. Big Bubba, DDP vs. Jim Duggan, Steve McMichael vs. Joe Gomez... yuck. Anyway after that watched the first 2 Nitros after that PPV at Disney MGM, really cool to see an outside "arena" plus some really really good matches on those two shows with Mysterio vs. Malenko, Guerrero vs. Psychosis, Sting vs. Arn Anderson, Malenko vs. Kidman, Guerrero vs. Benoit. My plan is to continue doing that until I get burnt out from that. But yeah that's my advice.

So CM Punk is suing the WWE on merchandise royalties so what does the WWE do in response? They are having a huge CM Punk merchandise sale on WWE.com. Seriously, his DVD was selling for $3.00 earlier today, it's currently unavailable now do to the huge demand. Part of me is laughing and part of me is like freaking WWE/big corporation screwing their (former) employees again.

I've barely watched RAW tonight but did catch the Heyman/Cena promo. Man Cena has the potential to deliver really good and serious promos like tonight. Wish he did that consistently instead of trying to be funny with his poo poo/pee pee jokes most of the time.

Yeah that part didn't make sense but I loved how Cena explained why he wouldn't turn heel ever. The best promos are the ones that you feel are real and when you know the wrestler believes in his words, Cena absolutely nailed that part.

It's been a really strange build to the Brock/Cena rematch, of course it was a weird build to the SS Brock/Cena match too. These 3 hour RAWs are really killing and overexposing the product, it's part of the reason why WCW ended up going under just way too much content to fill.

I did love the Bella/Springer thing though. I haven't laughed that hard at a wrestling segment in years. It's so bad it was good. But seriously the feud isn't even on life support anymore, it's completely gone. No one cares except JJ Bella, and that's only because he got put on TV.

Zigler segment was Dying with him showing the Pictures of Miz until the last one which was Funny, The Beatdown of Reigns again takes to long, 3 guys standing around trying to figure what to do next while reigns is just laying there. We had 2 swan dives off the top of cage and I loved it when Jericho shrug his shoulders before he Jumped, Like he was saying what the hell. That NXT Match wasn't bad and the finishing move was sweet.
