I think cooks is #3 on the targets list, maybe 4 until proven otherwise. He may prove to be a fine wr but rookie over graham, Colston and maybe Pierre Thomas? No. Not if you want my honest assessment.

I look to minimize risk. That's Kendall Wright this week IMO.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place... Should I BK GiK in the draft tonight? or wait for the wrap around and BK FinO?

I'm going Cooks because he will be matched up against the nickel CB of one of the worst defenses in football, a healthy Atlanta team can score enough to make this an all out shoot out. Wright is consistent but KC has decent DBs, too many IF'S for Evans IMO...same with Lattimer.

I'm considering cowarding out of starting Randall Cobb tommorow for obvious reasons...I could go Sproles, M.Lee, L.Miller or Khiry Robinson. Non ppr league.

    Thoughts?

I'm a fan of playing the match ups but you gotta play your best player. How can you sit Cobb for those guys?

yeah, that's what I ended up doing. now watch, Chris Johnson will have his only big game of the season Sunday. hopefully it doesn't matter if Brees and Roddy White are involved in a shootout in ATL.

    Bold move week 1?

Should I sit Mike Wallace @ NE for Brandin Cooks @ Atlanta?

Ellington likely out Monday so I can go Lamar Miller or Mark Ingram....(non ppr)

I really like Miller atleast attempting to play the Shady McCoy role, it may be just what he needs. Concerned about his lack of GL carries though.

Ingram slimmed down and looks the part, make or break year for him but he has disappointed frequently. He will get the GL carries but Drew Brees loves throwing inside the 5.

    Oh what to do.

Yes. NE has a very good secondary, Atlanta has a horrible defense but may score enough to keep it a shootout.

Cooks is a rookie and all but will be starting in a game that will likely have 55-60 points in it and Wallace will be playing in one that likely will have 40-45 points.

I have both in same league also and have had Cooks in since the draft.

Non-PPR I'd go Miller. It might change as the season prpgresses but right now he's a safer play.

I need some help on who to start in my flex position:
    Mike Wallace
    Roddy White
    or
    Knowshan Moreno

I'd go Roddy until Lazor & Tannehill show us that Wallace will be a big part of the offense. If Tanny & Wallace already had good downfield chemistry I'd be inclined to roll with Wallace, but we all know that's TBD.

I'm having a tough time trying to decide my flex [.5 ppr]. Moreno, Jeremy Hill, Bernard Pierce, Steve Smith. I really think Hill & Steve Smith could be sneaky plays this week.

thinking of going with Moreno simply b/c it's Lazor's first game, ex-Philly ties and all. but in my 2nd league I'm gonna take the chance on Jeremy Hill believe it or not.

edit: good thing I rethunk starting Hill in my other league. That would've placed way too much trust in Marvin Lewis. Maybe his mindset will change soon after yet another lackluster ground game by Gio. 14 carries, 48 yards, 3.4 YPC. Take away his lone good run and he carried 13 times for 32 yards [2.5 YPC], and through the first 40 minutes he tallied 11 carries for 28 [2.5 YPC].

Not surprisingly, Cincy was unable to gain a TD on all 5 trips into scoring range, as Gio carried 5 times for 5 yards inside Baltimore's 35 on three of those drives and effectively making touchdowns harder to come by. Meanwhile, for the game Hill carried 4 times for 19 yards [4.8 YPC] with runs of 4, 8, 3, and 4 yards, significantly better than Gio's 11 runs of 3, 2, 2, 0, -4, 1, 5, 2, 16, 1, and 3 yards over that same stretch.

Do you guys think it would be smart going forward to play C. Ivory over MJD or D. Williams (panthers HB) as my second flex? I dont want to overreact to one week but he looked great and they were both fairly quiet.

Steve Smith with the 4th best WR performance so far- 7 catches, 118, 1 TD.
Just sayin', I think I recall someone here talking him up heavily. :shifty:

I doubt anyone is winning a championship with DeAngelo in their lineup, especially not when Cam returns, so I might be inclined to look for a different player who offers more upside, but that's just me. As far as Ivory and MJD go, I'd probably play matchups, which MJD didn't have a good one of against the Jets. Alfred Morris & Roy Helu carried 18 times for 137 yards against Houston so perhaps there's some hope for MJD next week. If Green Bay scores points on NY's shoddy secondary, which Jets back will be on the field more while trying to keep pace or play catch up?

Well I put in a waiver claim for Hurns in case he ends up being a go to guy for the Jags. Nothing to lose there if I get him.

It'll be pierce. That was his first career fumble. Forsett is his handcuff nothing more IMO. Forsett is a 29 year old journeyman. Pierce is a 23 year old with feature back skill. If it carries over in to next week it'll be temporary IMO

If anyone wants a TE that is legit it's Zach Ertz. If you're in any leagues and can buy low, I'd do so. That's this years Jordan Cameron. Also Rob Gronkowski was targeted on 44% of the routes he ran. That's a great thing long term. Injuries be damned he can do more in 8 games then most in 16

I'd probably go Pierce. Mathews couldn't find much running room against Arizona, doubt he'll fare better against Seattle.

So I'm contemplating dropping KC DEF considering their schedule is pretty brutal to go with their injuries and overall poor performance week one.

Am I overreacting? I'm looking at adding Tennessee, New Orleans, or Tampa Bay and just playing match ups each week unless I strike gold.
