I just bought this new Priest double CD today and I love it. It's like a Savatage/Queensryche type concept album. More melodic than old Priest but I REALLY dig it. Over 100 minutes of action!!

    Pagan!!! Thoughts!!

This one will have to grow on me, Dan.

Not diggin it so far. A couple of good songs, but they went to "artsy". To me, Priest needs to just sledgehammer your senses.

Really....I thought you enjoyed some of the more progressive metal bands which seems to be the direction they went

I do enjoy the progressive bands. But Priest isn't supposed to be progressive. ;)

I'll DL..er..I mean buy this for the weekend and check it out. Been a fan of Priest since I learned that metal is cool, my first album O bought was Screaming for Vengeance and my favorite album is still Sad Wings of Destiny.

I dig it, but it is quite a departure for them, so I am letting it grow on me as well. In the words of Tom Petty, "The record man said I don't hear a single"...I think it has to be viewed as a collective work, with nothing "radio-friendly".

Just to clear something up, that's not why it has to grow on me. I could care less about radio friendly.

I'm just more used to "Painkiller", "Defenders" and "Vengeance" style Priest.

That album was a real hose, thank god Painkiller came out to mollify the masses. Priest + Keyboards = crapola.
