That cannot be so. Why...I read right here in this forum that Colledge pretty much basically sucks. So, no way for a guy who sucks to be out there finishing blocks. He only plays because he is Coach Joe's special pretty pet. :shifty:

    1) your either for it or against it?

    2) ok

    3) if #2 works out and your ok with #1 then sub package you shall get..

I don't get you on this Ro, you say you want a sub package and third down player but yet your not against Dion checking in at 275????... Doesn't make any sense, if you want him on third down, covering or rushing the passer, surely not just for stopping the run, then you should want him at 250 lean and quick for that sub package formation..

  3. What's the big deal?

The better team won despite the typically bad refereeing.

I think Miami had at least 6 hits on Brady in the first half alone, they certainly took their toll on him in the second half. I know there was an infographic that said Miami had 8 hits on Brady but that was in the early 3rd quarter.

At the end of the day, I think Miami were matched up with The Patriots at the perfect time. Miami was debuting a new offense, and Miami got to open at home at 1:00 pm in September for the first time in very long time. It'll be interesting to see how Miami fares in the rematch when neither will be factors. If Miami can get better play from Tannehill, and they *gasp* sweep the Patriots this year, there will be no doubt.

And Props to Mike Wallace. Nice to see him make a tough catch (his TD) and lower his shoulder into a DB. Yeah, he had some bad plays (fumble, stepped out of bounds for a td) but he came back determined which isn't something he did last year.

We played well and won. That's great. The one thing that concerns me going forward is Tanny's lack of accuracy. Throwing behind his targets and missing on the long ball.

I thought the zebras were 'okay' all in all this game. The one non whistle was frustrating...but they threw the flags on the blatant roughing the passer hits. The non call for the Hartline mugging was infuriating at the time. But we also got a sort of weird call for a downfield offensive PI - and possibly some others. Didnt we get some holding call on a would be pats TD as well?

After typing it out maybe its not as "okay" as I thought at first haha - but there werent any absolute "****kkkk faaa fu shiiieet" kind of calls either. Considering we usually get robbed at least one TD/turnover, I'll take todays game.

Am I forgetting some bad calls though? haha

    1) What proof do we have he's still 275lbs?

    3) I want him as a starter at DE and then the ability to move him around on 3rd downs/sub-packages, so he'd be a 3-down player. I think his potential exceeds where Olivier Vernon is going to get...but that's all Dion Jordan's got to this point is potential. If he fulfills that potential I see him as a more valuable asset to the defense than Olivier Vernon. Miami moved him to those sub-packages in the preseason, albeit a few times, but I thought he moved fine in those situations regardless of what his weight actually is.

Three straight drives in the first half resulted in a turnover. THREE! Give credit to the Patriots, but a team is not suppose to hang around after three TOs.

Also, Ju'Waun James' hold on Miami's third possession in the second half to nullify Lamar Miller's second TD of the day took off points. Miami ended up kicking a FG.

This kind of made me wonder: how badly could Miami have stomped the Patriots if not for those mishaps? Three straight turnovers?? That is a disaster in the making! Losing 4 points on a holding call? Again, not good. It's surprising they even won the game at all.

Luckily, things like this can be shored up; esp. the turnovers. As well as James has been in preseason, you have to take your lumps with rookies.

I actually agree with a lot of this but certain non-calls, most notably the non-calls that involved defensive back and wide receiver play (the Hartline interference, the receiver interfering with Finnegan's potential pick), seemed overly egregious considering the course of emphasis the league decided to take in the preseason.

He was inconsistent early, and that INT was horrible, but he got on track when it was crucial. His deep ball to Sims was absolutely perfect...he can't catch it for him too.
