And this was after you committed a penalty the play before to give them a second chance? Can't say I feel for you on that one. Here's crunch-time against the Redskins;

    Those tow calls were utterly atrocious. Extremely blatant.

    Bad non-call on Denver in OT. The defender was all over Thompkins. Happens at 2:04 of this video:

    We can do this all day.

    The result of that play was augmented to look worse than it is when Brady decided to throw it 40 yards down the field on the following 3rd and 4 on some strange desperation throw. That call was nothing compared to the Moss and McFadden calls which effectively sealed the game with a nice little bow for you guys. All teams have to deal with calls, this is an inevitability, but the way your team *****es and moans when they don't get every single call only lends itself to their reputation with the referees. These *****fests have been most recently evident this past Sunday with the Jimmy Wilson penalty that you guys rightfully got called for and even with that 50/50 Jammer-Thompkins call. You guys even had to burn a timeout because you wasted too much time pleading with the referees in that playoff game because you didn't get a call.

    To be fair it's your teams fault that every fan in football can identify the obscure tuck rule by the color of a teams jersey, you also saw to it that hits on QB's are now illegal in all but a few rare circumstances, and don't get me started on your team getting the common practice of snow-blowing for better FG opportunities banned league wide. That last one bites our home team in the *** at least once a year.

    Why are you having so much difficulty with this? That isn't evidence that proves a broad statement a fact.

    Here, fill out this worksheet and I'll go over it with you:

    Please pay attention. I said the Patriots have gotten the benefit of bad/non-calls in historically bad situations, but a strong reader should have been able to infer that I didn't believe it to be the result of conspiracy. Regardless, you're not really in a position to complain.

    As much as I agree with you on this, it appears the 'emphasis' the officials put on def. holding and PI went out the window across the league. If you look at most of the games this weekend, it was the same. They let Seattle's secondary go back to mauling receivers on Thurs, the several non-calls in our game, every game I watched they simply didn't enforce the same as they have in the preseason...

    What about the sack that Vernon was robbed of? Man had Brady by both ankles, yet referee let the play continue. Later, Tannehill's lone sack happened because he couldn't pull his ankle away before the whistle.

    The Hartline was was just awful. Guy grabbed him around the helmet as the ball was in the air!

    One that hasn't been mentioned was a clear block in the back by a NE WR on a third and long when the Pats were trapped inside their own five yard line. New Engand should have been forced to punt, giving Miami likely great field position, and changing the complexion of the game much earlier.

    How exactly did you take the Dolphins lightly? Brady was inaccurate, you couldn't stop the run, and couldn't protect Brady. I'd quit making excuses and just try to figure out how the Pats will get things corrected against the Vikings. You may not have the talent on defense to stop the run.

    I forgot about that weird Finnegan call and the Hartline corner endzone throw...those were both kind of ugly.

    There will never be a perfectly called game in both fanbases eyes... always room for improvement.

    But like I said in another thread - we didnt get decimated on a turnover / TD like usual so I'll take this one.

    I thought the worst non-call was on the Vereen 3rd down run early in the 2nd quarter when we had the Patriots backed up towards the goal line.

    The DT (Johnson I think) was in the backfield with a good shot at Vereen and Solder just tackled him from behind. Couldn't believe that wasn't called. Really big play at that point in the game too.

    Here and there
    This is ridiculous by any stretch of the imagination. Brady and BB said Miami gives them headaches. The Patriots record in Miami over all is 14-35. The last 10 years the Patriot have only been 6-5 in Miami. But nice try trying to convince anyone that the Patriots took Miami lightly that's why they lost. That's an argument from a ten year old.

    Are you suggesting Finnegan and Hartline didn't get mugged on the plays in question? Maybee the Hartline one could have been considered uncatchable. I mean, I would disagree but I can see that being the officials excuse.

    The Finnegan one was inexcusable though.

    But, as others have said we got calls against the Pats that I don't even expect to get anymore so I can't complain too much.

    I have been watching the NFL since 1970. I can not remember a referee helping a player off the ground. Am I wrong about that ? Is my Brady hatred coloring my perception of this ?

    I stand corrected, I guess that ref helped RT17 up too.

    Absolutely a thousand times this. There are multiple penalties that should have been called on the Patriots that weren't, and they STILL accrued a hundred yards worth of penalty flags. It was funny to see Brady's reaction to the PI call on the grossly illegal pick play. They've been doing that for years and now the officials have finally been told they have to call it.

    Isn't that the same type of play Belicheat was throwing a fit about when the Broncos did it to them?

    We all know the Pats have always gotten special treatment with Brady at the helm, but what surprised me was the level of dirty play the Patriots players showed all game. They were flying around helmet first all game and it looked like they were really trying to cause serious harm to Tannehill every time they got near him. There were some vicious helmet-to-helmet hits that sure seemed intentional. In addition, our receivers were practically getting put in choke holds by their DBs.

    Those were both blatantly obvious penalties on Jones though. Both were headshots to the QB, which is against the NFL's rules. I'm not sure why we're saying they went our way as if they were gifts to us, they were obvious cheap shots on our QB that were called, and should have been, no questions about it.

    Despite all this, the Dolphins did get some calls in their favor, holding etc. that seemed to not happen in the past. The refs seemed to know that they had to do a better job keeping to calls realistic. Will that last all season, who knows.

    There are always going to be blown calls and each fan will see more against their own team than the other team fans. But the Pats fans should appreciate how things have gone for them in the past and count their blessings. Last year they put up a stink about some call or other and they harped on it for the week and it was so ironic as they had won several games because of poor calls/noncalls in their favor. I live up here in Pat land and some Pats fans will agree with me that they are spoiled and want perfection and want it all. This week it is all about the Pats and how poorly they played and how is this possible and there was no way that should have happened. Everyone is still in shock.:shifty:

    And of course the Pats did have calls against them. Not sure where.

    http://www.patspulpit.com/2014/9/7/...al-score-new-england-dominated-in-second-half

    Quote in article above - "Yes, there were some bad calls against the Patriots in this one. "

    :sidelol::sidelol:

    Read some of the comments from Pats fans in that article above and you will see some giving their own fans grief on how spoiled they are!!!!!
