How much better the tackling was without Whiffler & Failerbee.

I really hope this coaching staff doesn't stick Wheeler back into the starting lineup. I'm okay with him coming off the bench the rest of the season, but let's move forward. The Wheeler experiment has not been a success.

Even when we dump their asses in the off-season, it's still going to cost us 8.4 million (combined) in dead money. they're going to be haunting us for the next two seasons smh.

Wheeler is out, Ellerbe is out, and now Misi is out with a ankle injury.

It highlighted how good our defense can be if we actually have players making plays in the next level. I can't count how many whiffs and missed tackles I saw last year and I didn't get to see every game. We had what I think was the worst or close to it LB corps in the league last year, maybe its just one game but they showed that they can play so keep those guys out there. I don't care who makes what money, if they can't play better than the guy behind them they should sit down and watch from the sideline.

Problem is the starting LBs looked fine in preseason and Ellerbe looked fine before leaving.

No I don't want Trusnik and Jenkins starting all year. Be careful what you guys wish for

The Wheeler at the WILL LB spot was not a success. I think once he comes back he'll be better off playing on the LOS as he did in Oakland in 2012; he had his best season playing that position and I think he'll do well for Miami based on the position change. If not, then that's on him, but I'm not willing to write him off yet. I'm more intrigued with seeing what Miami has in Jelani Jenkins and Jordan Tripp at WILL with Ellerbe gone. Kelvin Sheppard, to my knowledge was always an inside guy at LSU and Buffalo, but he's more mystery to me at this point than anything else.

Trunsik is not better than Ellerbe, Jenkins I'll go with over wheeler at this point, his discipline with his assignments are top notch, I'm ok with him learning the game.

Misi being out is gonna hurt...

    Sh@&..Tripp ain't ready yet.

How about McCain, Jordan, and Misi as the starters in a few weeks??? That could be REALLY good. Groom Tripp to take over for Misi.

Good point. There is a reason these guys weren't starters to begin with. I just hope it wasn't related to the $$$ we shelled out to Wheeler/Ellerbe.
