So Still no Tripp, and McCain couldn't go today, which isn't a huge surprise because he was mentioned on injury reports prior to the Pats game.

I can confirm the #Dolphins are one of a few teams that have inquired about #Ravens LB Arthur Brown.

Former 2nd round pick on the trade block.

At least other that Ellerbe, everyone's injuries should be fairly short term, and on paper at least, none of our next three opponents are amoung the better teams in the league, and then we get the BYE. Every team gets injuries in the NFL, and sometimes timing means everything.

I notice that the Dolphins are said to have some interest in Arthur Brown.

I think trading for him would be a total waste of a draft pick. He transferred from the University of Miami because he couldn't get on the field and the Hurricanes had a very average LB corp at the time.

I know he transferred to Kansas State and played well there, but I don't see him being any help at the LB position for the Dolphins.

The Ravens don't have a great LB corp right now and yet they seem willing to trade a LB they drafted in the 2nd round just two years ago.

Hopefully Hickey will save the draft pick and pass on trading for Brown.

Who needs draft picks with Hickey around? He can just piddle through the UDFA rookies and build a team!

J/K...not quite to that extent...but I trust him so far. I'm sure he'll do what he, Philbin and Coyle agree is best for the D.

Edit: I'd think he'd be able to poach a good one from a PS somewhere...we'll see.

James Walker @JamesWalkerNFL 26m #Dolphins HC Joe Philbin didn't provide any info on rookie LB Chris McCain's absence today.

    James Walker @JamesWalkerNFL 24m
#Dolphins HC Joe Philbin said new LB Kelvin Sheppard must be on an "accelerated program" to learn the defense and contribute.
