First off, I'm pissed. Just watched our Head Coach decide that a two minute drill with 3 timeouts is not worth trying to score on. So take that into account when reading this.. WE HAVE NO LEADERSHIP AT THE TOP. Add Tannehill looking like a deer in headlights and I'm convinced that other than guys like Wake, and Moreno, this team lacks a leader with self-beleif, conviction, and relentlessness. I'm not watching the rest of this game. I can't stomach it. How bout you... you think we have true leadership on this team?
I'm sure Dan in at the stadium somewhere up there strap a helmet on him I bet he can hit wallace deep.
I don't think you can try to score in that scenario with a QB who's just as likely to throw a pick-six as he is to mount a scoring drive.
This is hilarious. Back to back trips to Buffalo where the offense fails to even cross midfield in the first half! And yes, not sure what Philbin was thinking there! Tannehill is going to have to sling it in the 2nd half anyways... so why not trust him in that spot!!
Because if you get the ball in the second half and go down and score, even a field goal, then you can still run the ball. If you turn the ball over there, and they score before the half, you're in deep trouble. In other words, that possession was less important than it seemed.
Hows it a fail thread. They look horrible on three sides of the ball? The game was over when CJ ran it back. There is no way the dolphins can overcome this margin. Buffalo is a great defensive team and has Tannehills number just like we have Tom Bradys. This team isn't as good as last week showed we played a team that was in transition and for most of the game we were behind. 8-8 again...
My biggest knock on Tannehill since being here is he lacks leadership skills. This is his third year so its make it or break it time.
Dolphins fans get way too excited about beating the Patriots at home. They do it almost every year, and end up having a terrible season (2004, 2006) or a mediocre one with no playoffs (2002, 2009, 2013). They'll probably destroy us in the rematch in NE as always. Especially if Moreno is out for the year. Hopefully he can be back soon. I shudder to think what our offense will be like without him. 8-8 would be lucky if we lose him for the year considering our passing game is the same sketchy inconsistent crap its always been.
It's not poor leadership. It's poor quarterbacking. How that isn't apparent to Dolphins fans by now is seriously concerning.
I think they are trying to just not admit the obvious with the painful possibility that Tannehill just isn't good enough. I can't say he's a bust but he's a guy that will hover around 80-85 QB rating. He's like a 70 rating QB from early 00s era. That just isn't enough. The good thing I'll say about this team is that the holes on the team are fixable. STs, injuries, and a few positions perhaps at LB and a S being out. That's not that bad. The biggest problem by far is the QB.
ST's had a huge hand in this loss, -13 pts...-13..pts If I were Rizzi, I'd avoid pepperoni for the next week as the stomach upset it will cause will be epic
I think it's probably time to start wondering if Mike Sherman's system was dumbed down to suit Tannehill's ability.
I screamed at the TV when Philbin intentionally wasted 3 minutes and 3 timeouts. He doesn't play to win, he just plays not to lose big. There is absolutely no chance of making the playoffs with a gutless head coach.
There's a repeated pattern of this team embarrassing itself badly after any degree of success. If they win a bad game, it doesn't matter who or where they're playing, there is a very good chance they come out and misfire totally.
He reminds me of a stronger armed Jay Fiedler without the moxie. Wait... Then again Fiedler could hit the deep ball to Chambers.
You can't just tuck your tail 9 points down when you have 3 minutes, timeouts, and the ball.....that is just plain BULLSH*T...no excuse will suffice...self-defeating cowardice.
