Veering away from the *****ing about yesterday's game for a minute, there's rumors starting to emerge that Raiders owner Mark Davis isn't happy with Dennis Allen and that he could get the ax very soon. If that's the case, the new interim head coach is expected to be none other than Tony Sparano.

That would certain add a bit more intrigue to our game in a few weeks, and if we can hold them to FG's, some fist pumping.

Feel bad for anyone who coaches that team. The alent level os extremely low, unpolished rookie QB, and the owner expects to win.

If that scenario plays out and we lose on the road to Tony Sparano, I'm canceling my Sunday Ticket.
However, that's a very unlikely scenario.

I feel bad for Derek Carr, the kid has talent and it's getting wasted on that team. It's too bad too, since he got drafted by his childhood favorite team and it doesn't look like he will get another chance unless he magically turns the rest of his offense into football players instead of blocking sleds/bags.

    Reggie Mackenzie is the failure.

Lots of teams have to clear the decks due to a bad salary cap situation, but they also then bring in talent.

Their drafts have been terrible. Their strategy has been terrible, borderline incompetent. Seriously, despite $40 million in cap space they failed to franchise either Jared Veldheer or Lamarr Houston, arguably their two best players and ended up losing both in free agency.

I can't help smiling every time I think about Sparano. ****ty coach, but great guy, and one heck of a fist pump.

He's the Dolphins coach who won the division most recently, FWIW. Apparently, that's not worth much of anything.

I'm glad he's no longer the head coach, but I'm still not sure they have replaced him with someone better.

Their draft this year was one of the better ones in the league.

I hadn't even considered this scenario, but if it happens, we WILL lose to Sparano. These things ALWAYS work out that way, just like Sparano's first game against the Dolphins with the Jets, and Culpepper's epic revenge game with the Raiders. Sickening to ponder.

I'll tell you what, I'd take Sparano as HC over Philbin. At least Sparano can give a pep talk without reading off cue cards...

We'll see. Overall McKenzie has been terrible.

    Probably worse than Ireland.

and the last two off seasons they traded for Matt Flynn and Matt Schaub, paid their exorbitant salaries and played neither of them. It's a terribly run organization from the top down.

Mark Davis is probably the only owner Ross can point at and laugh

Reggie McKenzie has been a complete disaster in Oakland.
