Sean O'haire was found dead in his home. 43 years old.

Probably this biggest "what if" wrestler of this generation. Had NXT and the various rules about drugs been in place ten years ago, he would have been huge. Top of the card huge, in my opinion.

Eddie Guerrero (heart complications due to steroid use) should have been a huge warning, and Chris Benoit (uncontrolled emotion and imbalance due to steroid use) should have been the final red flag with regard to the roid policy.

Yeah really sad because the guy had "the look" and like you said could have/should have been a big star. He was even given a great gimmick in the WWE unfortunately he just couldn't cut a live promo and it killed his confidence which carried over in the ring.

Chris Benoit's death was the catalysis to the start of the WWE Wellness Policy.

Of course if you look at all the deaths before Benoit, you can question why the Wellness Policy wasn't in place long ago.

Guy that had not seen Neville go before was watching Raw with me last night (Football season..RAW is on Tuesday night for me now). I remark to him.."Check this guy out...this guy is special."

Let's just say he was impressed. I am sure he made the same impression across the board.

Yeah I got the same response from some of my friends that watch wrestling but never seen NXT.

Still think the last NXT "PPV" that was done in maybe May was a great hour of wrestling. Looking forward to this Thursday's.

Also I watched the newest episode of the Monday Night Wars that focused on Mick Foley. What a fun and really well done hour. The Foley/McMahon and Foley/Rock on screen relationships were such gold.

  9. Samphin

Yeah, that one almost seemed more of a Mick Foley retrospective as opposed to an installment of Monday Night Wars. But I loved it.

Agreed, I think they spent way too much time talking about yet again the 1998 HiTC match, which really didn't do much for the ratings or Foley (at least right away) until they paired him up with Vince and the Corporation. Much like Austin cutting the famous "Austin 3:16" bit at the KOTR he didn't get super hot until the Bret Hart/Hart Foundation feud which was a good 4 or 5 months after.

While I've been enjoying the MNW series, I still think they are dropping the ball by not going month by monthy/year by year by talking about what each company was doing at the same time. By focusing each epsiode on a single wrestler it jumps around way too much and they gloss over important events and talk up ones that maybe weren't so important, while making it seem like the WWE won the war because of this one guy or group. Plus the WWE bias is pretty thick on all of these episodes after the first one.

Put this into perspective.....he's only 4 years older than HHH, 7 years older than The Rock......and hes 1 year younger than Stone Cold....

Man the "life" really did it to Taker.

Some guys also just age better than others, DDP is a perfect example where he looks great for his age. But yeah it is funny how we think Taker is "so old" but when you compare him to others like Triple H, Austin, Rock etc he's not "that old".

Next episode of MNW is about Bret Hart. Expect a lot of "WCW had no clue how to use Bret". And this is one time where you can absolutely crap on WCW for dropping a ball with Bret, although to be fair once the screwjob happened Bret really stopped caring (of course part of that could be because of WCW not booking him right).

Watched the newest episode of MNW about Bret Hart. This is exactly what you would have expected and if you ever saw either the Bret Hart DVD, the Bret Hart/Shawn Michaels rivalry DVD and/or Wrestling With Shadows movie then you've seen this episode. Really nothing new or ground breaking. The episode really just focused on Bret and Shawn not liking each other and how the Attitude Era pushed Bret out of the door and how WCW had no idea how to use him because WCW.

I really hope the next episode or two focuses on a WCW only wrestler like Sting or Goldberg.

Man wrestling is lame recently. NXT takeover was better than the last couple WWE ppvs.......man the future is bright, if they use these cats correctly.

Yeah wrestling has been very boring lately, that's why you should just watch old Nitros instead.

Unfortunately I don't really have super faith any of the "NXT Four" outside of maybe Zayn (because he has that Daniel Bryan feel to him) really breaking through only because Neville and Breeze, while super super talented, are smaller guys so I can totally picture Vince looking at them standing next to Cena or Orton backstage and just writing them off. As for Tyson Kidd, he's been with the company for 4 years now and they never found anything to do with him so I can't see that changing anytime soon, if at all.

    I hope I'm wrong though.

So....Monday Night Raw promotes Stone Cold's podcast with Kevin Nash...(I'm a fan of the SC podcast)

and I had this suspicion that it would be a train wreck.....

of course...they did 30 minutes on taking ****s, and their various methods for wiping their ***.

Awesome. I Think they did that to Vince as a Rib.

Yup I loved that podcast as well. I could listen to Austin and Nash BS all day. That's what I love about these podcasts. It's guys that are actually friends with each other that have absolutely no agenda what so ever (they're not looking for a job or to put guys down etc), they're just talking like they would normally do if it wasn't being recorded for the world to listen to.

What is actually surprising to me is how poor some of JR's podcasts are as I feel like he tends to hijack the conversation and has trouble keeping his guests focused. It feels more like an interview while Jericho's and Austin's feel more natural and "real".

Forgot about those guys to be honest. But yeah I can see them pushing KENTA hard because that's Triple H's international project and if they want to keep bringing in others they need to show them that the WWE is serious and will give them a push. I don't like his new name though, why not just continue to use KENTA instead of the "NXT Name Generater"?

Devitt and Steen absolutely can be stars if they are willing to embrace and pick up the WWE style quickly but also if the WWE doesn't tone them down too much and continues to let them be themselves or the characters they have been playing.

According to Wikipedia he's 42 but, like Kane, the guy must have something written in his contract that he gets at least 1 or 2 WWE World title matches at a PPV per year.

Cena said at Halftime that Lesnar shows or he kicks Heyman's *** and then they had to stall for 15 minutes because halftime of the football game didn't start until 9:45, So they booked the main storyline around a Football Game and the Ratings were still down. I wonder if I could get them to book raw this week around Me having a Bowel Movement.

I actually don't blame them for booking the most important segment around the halftime of the football game. They know they can't/won't get people to tune into RAW while the game is going on and the point is to get people to order the Network (for only $9.99) to see the main event.

The problem again is outside of Cena and Lesnar they just don't have any wrestlers who are draws right now. Sticking Henry and Rusev on the closing segment was kind of stupid though, that's where they saw the biggest drop.

Of course a lot has to do with the 3 hour RAWs and the fact that since really WM, outside of a few episodes here and there, RAW has been pretty awful for the most part. Especially the last 4 weeks.

Wow WWE.com is saying Reigns is out with a hernia and will need surgery. They will update the situation today at 1pm on the Network. Good timing for Ambrose who is suppose to return tomorrow or Monday.

EDIT: out 4 to 6 weeks but could be as long as 12 weeks depending on how be it is. He's in surgery now.

Crap ending to a so-so PPV. I guess we will get Brock/Cena 3 at Hell in the Cell along with Ambrose vs. Rollins.

But man the roster is really really thin right now. They need to make new stars now.

Brock took 4 AA's, a 5 minute STF, and a curb stomp....and still walked out grinning with a lifeless Cena laying in the ring. Brock still looked like a badass. Cena didnt look like a complete jobber, and Seth Rollins reminded everyone he could still throw his hat in the ring at anytime.

It was a good ending to a so-so ppv. Wonder who they throw to Rusev now? Big show? Dude has to stop destroying mid-carders and start challenging the likes of cena, reigns, bork....so he has some kind of credibility. Destroying Smackdowns B-squad for months is not doing much for him.

So glad Ambrose is back....holy **** his pops are insane. The guy is like Rock level almost when Austin got hurt and he was pushed through the moon. Hope they ride him all the way to the top.

Yeah while Cena certainly got more offense in he didn't exactly dominate Brock. I just hated the DQ ending, especially since this PPV was suppose to get people to re-up on the subscription, just seemed like a cheap way to extend the Cena/Brock feud. Although I guess if this means we won't get Brock/Big Show I will take it. Obviously Brock/Cena 2 wasn't as good as their SS match or Extreme Rules 2012 one. Although this could be interesting if it causes a rift in the Brock/Heyman camp towards The Authority. Which would make sense.

Yeah Rusev will probably get Big Show next and then no clue. All signs are pointing to a Cena/Rusev WM match so they need to do something to stall him. Maybe keep Rusev off a PPV or 2 will help. Plus it seems like Cena's next feud after Brock will be Rollins.

The Reigns injury could be the best thing for both Ambrose and Reigns. Hopefully the WWE is going to give Ambrose a serious look now that Reigns is out. It's really hard to ignore that pop. He just connects with the fans that very few guys in the company do, really outside of Bryan, Cena, and Brock.
