This is why Ireland needed to be gone. I hate what our team is going through now, but it is VERY SWEET redeemption to know that I was right.....completely vindicated.

 

I felt the same way even when we drafted Jordan. I was always skeptical of the pick. I hoped it would work out but it just didn't make sense. Didnt fit a need or our scheme. We had many good OL options last year, including FA and trades. Going into the season it was obvious the OL was going to be a problem. Now we gotta deal with the consequences of not drafting smartly year after year.

You know if we were to release him I wouldn't even care, forget the fact he has been suspended for drugs TWICE now but even when he is on the field he brings nothing. He's just going to be more disappointment down the road, for me it's no question.

Exactly how I feel, besides he hasn't shown me anything to make me think he has any chance being an All-Pro or even a decent NFL player, it's obvious he wants to party than take this job seriously

 

His suspension is only 3 times greater than Goodell's initial suspension for Ray Rice. If Goodell caught someone other than Johnny Rockzo on tape or in a picture doing drugs, would he be able to impose a double lifetime ban?

Wow, this sucks... I remember there was a poster on here who called this out months ago, even before his first suspension, saying he was a junkie and likely wouldn't amount to anything. At the time nobody really understood the reasoning behind what he said, but looks like he knew something we didn't, probably had some inside info...

 

Umm...no. I was pretty vocal saying we should have drafted an O-lineman.

 

Dion Jordan was supposedly who the coaching staff wanted as well as Jeff Ireland. The story I remember hearing is that he was their #1 choice on the board and there was fairly strong consensus. They wanted to trade up for someone(I want to say Tavon Austin), but the price to move up to get Jordan was unexpectedly cheap and did that.

 

Wow. We are just a poorly run organization devoid of leadership in the front office and the locker room. We have a top 3 pick in rehab, ****ing rehab in year 2 of his career? I mean you can't make this **** up.

Dang, if he couldn't stop whatever he's using after the first suspension he's obviously an addict. Hopefully he uses the treatment to get better and get his act together.
