Well, I really believed in his skillset, supported the move to go up for that little of compensation..

I remember predraft writing that if this kid doesn't make it it will be because of what he went thru growing up, trajic accident, near death, severe burns and scars, just a lot of negative around him.

I said this preseason besides his lumbering play, and a staff who completely mis read his weight, skillset and position, that he looked "depressed to me"... There were plays where I saw him disengage, there were plays by his teammates where he turned the other cheek instead of celebrating...

This is clearly a case of a young man who is not sound in body or mind.

And to steal a line from the late robin Williams in his oscar winning performance, I hope he comes out of this, because none of us know the depths of his mind..none of us have walked in his shoes.

I hope you get re inspired Dion Jordan, your an amazing talent with skills that all of us would do anything to have, get strong brother, be grateful for what you have, play a game, and take of yourself and your family doing so..do your damn job bro.

P.S..just a bit of advice from a fan...drop the weight, get in the Best shape of your life, and tell them you wanna play linebacker, or you want to be traded.

I've been getting A LOT of Jeff Ireland's an idiot for picking Dion Jordan tweets. Want something on the record.....

    Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly 3m
    1. Dion Jordan was UNIVERSALLY rated the top defender in the 2013 draft class. 2. Nobody knew Olivier Vernon would be this good....

    Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly 3m
    3. Steve Ross said he asked every scout & player the 1 prospect they'd pick if they had the No. 1 pick that year & Dion Jordan was the guy

    Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly 2m
    4. Dion Jordan is coached by one of the VERY best at his position. And was hurt his rookie year.

    Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly 31s
You can save that drama for your momma, but I don't want to hear ANYONE blaming Jeff Ireland for Dion Jordan's recently setbacks.

But even before Vernon tore it up, we still didn't need another DL. Especially one that didn't fit our defense. If we still ran the 3/4 we had with Saban through Sparano then I'd say no big deal. But we're a different defense now. Our OL on the other hand was an obvious need especially since Jake Long was gone and J. Martin was unproven at LT. Still needed another tackle. Even guard was a need since Jerry was garbage. So he was considered a top D prospect in a year that didn't have many good top prospects. Doesn't mean he was the right pick at the right time. Hell Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell were the top rated QBs in their drafts, doesn't make them good picks. Even when you throw hindsight at it, still doesn't make sense.

If it's just weed, he can fix it. Weed is not even physically addictive. I believe everyone deserves a second chance. I believe in Dion Jordan. I think he can clean his act up and be a dominant force in the NFL for the next decade. I hope that's with us.

Honestly, **** Dion Jordan. idc what his problems are. Clearly his priorities are not with football or the Miami dolphins. Sad part is, we can't trade or cut his *** because of the massive cap hit.

This just sucks, is this franchise cursed or something?! Hopefully he gets his act together and becomes the player he could be, and in a perfect world this would be here.

This staff made the decision for him to get up to 275 without Jeff Ireland in the building, I don't think even Jeff Ireland would of agreed with the stupidity.

I have no idea why anyone would be upset at Goodell for this added suspension. I am sure that the policy with the players association continues to prohibit the league from disclosing the type of drug a player used to cause the suspension. So Goodell can't disclose the substance which Jordan tested positive for, even if he wanted to.

The fact that Jordan is receiving treatment to address his problem certainly makes it appear it is likely more a drug issue than a PED issue.

Jordan obviously has others issues beyond the fact he appears to be a bust at this point. I would love to say that the Dolphins should just accept this as another wasted high draft pick and try and trade him. Unfortunately with 2 failed drug tests on his record, I doubt if any other team in the NFL would be willing to trade for him.

Right now if the Dolphins could get a 6th or 7th round pick for him, they should gladly take the pick and bid him adios. I will be very surprised if he is still in the NFL in a couple of years.

Is this a serious post? What does Dion Jordan's problems have to do with the organization? The guy has a problem and needs help. This isn't the fault of anyone in the organization. Come on now.

His terrible issues and addictions like smoking weed? How much signing bonus and guaranteed money did he get already? That's sweet, but I think he can pull through. LOL!

If it's just weed, who f**king cares? It's less harmful than alcohol and should be legal in ALL states, not just the several it is now.

I don't recall Jordan holding a gun to anyone's head to trade up for him, so now remind me what makes him a "POS"?
Ironically, your extreme, hostile statement probably speaks more about the kind of person you are than Jordan. I'm by no means standing up for his actions, but he certainly doesn't deserve to be called a POS.

While I agree with you that marijuana should be legal. The fact is that it is not legal in most states right now and it is also a prohibited drug under the NFL drug policy.

Jordan is paid extremely well to play in the NFL and as part of being a player in the NFL, he is required to adhere to the drug policy. If he wants to smoke pot, all he has to do is quit playing in the NFL, move to a state where pot is legal to use and go on about his life.

To work in many jobs in America employees, are subject to drug tests and if they fail a drug test, including having marijuana in their system, they are fired from their jobs. NFL football players should not be treated any different than the average American worker. It is as simple as that.

I wouldn't bet on the dominant force part, but he could very likely clean up his act and be a solid starting player at the very least. Calling him a bust already, even given the suspensions x2, is a knee jerk reaction. Not well thought out at all.

I definitely would not trade him for a 6 or a 7. The odds are better he pulls through than the odds of a 6 or a 7 making the roster and being a long term contributor.

Two players Ireland traded up for: Daniel Thomas and Dion Jordan.

But hey, both are still on the roster.

I know many teenagers who have your attitude, but they will soon learn that this type attitude won't get them very far in life. The fact you are in your 40's and have this attitude tells me a lot about your lack of maturity as an adult.

Hopefully you don't have any children you are teaching this same attitude too. If you do, you are only setting them up for failure later in life.

Right now with two failed drug tests and all the bad press the NFL is getting lately, I seriously doubt if there is a team in the NFL who would even be willing to trade for Jordan. I just figured that if they could get a 6th or 7th round pick for him, that would be about the best they could hope for.

With two failed drugs tests already in a little over a year in the league, one more failed test and he will be suspended for a year, I believe. I don't see any teams willing to give up anything more than a late round draft pick at best for a player with two drug suspensions on his record.

The Dolphins will probably end up keeping him around because of the lack of interest in him and hope he can develop into a mediocre player at best. I just don't ever see him being a dominant player in the NFL. I just don't think he has the heart or the intelligence to take his game beyond mediocre.

I don't care what your profile says, what it states on the screen is that your 41. Of course if you are 29, that helps explain your immature attitude to some degree.
