Because they give him credit for Green Bay's success even though he never called plays never innovated/created an offense, he did nothing, he was basically their video coordinator for team meetings and occasionally he would tell Aaron Rodgers to tie his shoes and Jermichael to pick up some trash off the floor.

Just the opposite. We are not football experts, and we are pointing out that some people who thought themselves football experts weren't as smart as they thought they were.

Cam Wake: "Each man has to look in the mirror, look at his own play and find a way to do your job." #dolphins

This breaks my heart for Wake, he deserves better, MUCH better. If everyone gave like he did we probably be 3-0 right now.

That's how it is with third or fourth choices. No one wanted Philbin. 31 other teams didn't want him to be their head coach. We had to settle for him because our first and second or third choices turned us down. What else can we reasonably expect?

Joe Robbie went after Don Shula. He went after him so aggressively that it was adjudged to be tampering and we lost our first round pick that year. I'm sure he said something like "Don, you're the best there is. I need you to come here and build a winning organization. I'll pay you what it takes to get you here. You can hire and fire anyone you want and you will have absolute power over the franchise, and I'll back you." You saw the result. Ross needs to do something similar.

Did you see how long he let Ireland go ? Oh Ross will give him this year and next I'll bet. Unless there is just too much fan uproar.

If we lose in London playing this bad - on the world stage - how can Ross keep him on?

Hartline says multiple offensive woes: "If you’re playing the odds, you can’t overcome them all. It gets tiresome. It kind of wears on you."

Not sure what he means here

The offense is taking a lot of heat today. But I'm hearing grumblings out of the Dolphins locker room about the defensive game plan. (cont.)

There were banners flying over the stadium, and fans protesting in front of the facility - the latter one made Sportscenter on ESPN. And yet Ireland was here for 2 more seasons.

Also, players questioning Coyle's in-game adjustments (or lack thereof). Gut check time for this team.

I'm guessing of course, but it seems like this system we're working with, is designed to roll the dice, and play the odds against what the D is showing. Sometimes it works, some times it wont. Again, grasping at straws here, but remember the TC reports when Tanny threw picks multiple days in a row and it was either Tanny or Lazor that said we were trying to look at other options against certain things and clearly it didnt work or something along those lines. Kind of like we gameplan for one thing, and one thing only and if it's not there, we're screwed. Maybe someone can recall that TC report, maybe that has something to do with it?

Kinda fits though, seems like this offense every week has one purpose, and one purpose only. Like, when one play or concept is shut down, the entire offense sputters. I have to wonder all year, Where is Gibson, where is Clay, where is Matthews, where is Hartline (granted we saw him a bit today finally). Last year, Tannehill spread the ball around so well, and looked so confident behind a terrible OL and with a vanilla as it gets OC. This year, its the opposite it feels like. Our QB is uncomfortable, like the system is forcing him to do something that's unnatural. We're targeting Wallace more it seems, nobody else is involved. It just all seems off on offense. It's not just the QB, its everyone.

Not like it matters, but is anyone else tired of running the ball on 3rd and 10? Maybe it's just me.

    Haha, indeed.

It's not all him though, to be fair. No one is doing their job well. The lack of passion bothers me though. We saw so much of it week 1. Where did it go? It's really upsetting.

I have the same mindset with Philbin this season that I had with Ireland last season. This was the final chance, and so far, it's not looking good.

It's gut check time now. Better get it together and fast.

I think I know what he means. If on every play there's constantly multiple people crapping the bed, the odds of overcoming all the crap and getting a positive play go down exponentially, and it becomes discouraging.

He's frustrated that the offense can't get anything done.

The passion left when Moreno did. Everyone was talking about how he amped everyone up and was the fire for us. As soon as he went down, I felt a massive wave of bad juju coming. Didnt think it was to this extent.

As for Tannehill, I thought he was playing fine the first half and beginning of the 3rd, and then everything went straight to hell.

He needs to be better. Everyone needs to be better.

Using the word tiresome. For me that is the key word. The way it was quoted just seems to me he is over it, here and longs to be elsewhere.

Need to stop calling it a home field, because it is not in any sense of the term except geographically, it's a neutral field..

Miller did. He ran for 108 yards. We averaged over seven yards per rushing attempt. But we only ran the ball 20 times the whole game, and we passed unsuccessfully on third and short over and over, converting only four of fifteen third downs and none of the two fourth downs we went for. You and I could call a better offensive game.

Never did I look at Sun Life in such a low light as I did after that nauseating performance today..and then switch to the Seattle game. Our whole franchise just looks old and in the way

he did provide energy to be sure but we lost nothing production wise by getting Miller the ball more. That wasn't a core reason we lost today imo .

Miller is one of the only people I will not say anything bad about, this game, and i'm someone who generally doesn't even want him on the field. He had a good game. However, Morenos presence was huge for us. He was running harder than anyone we have had for quite some time and everyone was blatantly feeding off that energy. it was HUGE for us. We need/needed someone with that fire. Even on the play when he got hurt he was beasting out of the gate. Him going down was just a swift kick in the balls for this team.

Don't mistake what i'm saying about Moreno to be taking away from Miller. Didn't say he had anything to do with why we lost, today.

I didn't , just that imo Moreno being out is maybe 20th on the list of reasons we lost today . First and foremost it is coaching. I said this for the previous GM , but it took several years after I said it to when it became realized , but dead coach walking. he isn't the answer , won't be the answer and I don't know if finishing the season has any value.

Tannehill has a run/pass option every play. It isn't all on Lazor, Tannehill is making the final call.

Wilson is a mediocre QB who, if not for his legs and gimmick offense would be a bad QB.

Can't win the game when your QB isn't a QB. The reasoning for the poor play calling is because of Tannehills lack of accuracy and weak arm. Kansas City D was in the bottom 10 of every defensive category before todays game, looked like a bunch of all pros. Not to mention a known weak secondary, especially with injuries. So why didn't the fins run a 4 WR set to exploit the secondary? Because Tannehills poor arm. Unfortunately the fins can't just throw in Matt Moore and expect any better of an outcome, but we need to end this Ryan Tannehill experiment, Tannehill is associated with Jeff Ireland, a cancer to the dolphins, so Tannehill needs to go as well.

    Well away from here
Philbin likely won't finish the season at this rate. If we lose next week, which is looking all the more likely regardless of how far Oakland is travelling he's basically done. 1-3 out of the gate means we are looking at a likely 5-11 or 6-10 season.

Have to let him go if we are 1-3 as GB will beat the living crap out of us and then it is all over for us this year. There is no merit to giving him more time, as he would be done after 1-3 given who what we have left for the rest of the season.
