i am just now getting to watch the game via a recording of nfl game rewind.
1st drive we run up the gut on 3rd and 10. wow.
on another drive we run up the gut on 1st and 20 then a short pass on 3rd and 23. so far ive only watched less than 10 minutes of the game and i already want Lazor's head on a platter.

All the halftime stats were in our favor except the score and a difference of 2 yards in rushing.
its hard to score with horrible play calling. i'm not saying everything but the play calling was good either. We had some dropped passes and a couple of bad throws but the play calling is the majority of the problem from what I've seen so far.

LOL if you think the play calling is bad now, wait till after you watch the second half. Coaching was the main reason we lost this game. Phibin does not run a balanced Run/Pass offense. We led the league in pass attempts last year and looks like we are again this year. Guess who led the league with a more balanced offense, Seattle and Denver.

The three NFL teams which attempted the fewest number of passes last season were Carolina, San Francisco, and Seattle. They lost 10 games. Combined.

Hopefully, just fluke playcalling day on Lazor's part. If that crap continues, he was not a good hire after all.... and McAdoo probably wouldn't fare better.

This year, the Giants got a McaPoo offense, and the Dolphins got even Lazy-or on playcalls.

Dude needs to step it up not only because where he comes from (Chip Kelly system), but because his awesome last name alone is supposed to inspire an offense that's on-point, got damnmit!

I don't mind the 3rd and 10 run call. Punt the ball, back their offense up, play D and get good field position on the next offensive series. It's not a bad strategy.

The problem with that, is the entire game we had great field position. We nearly worked every drive to midfield with a fresh set of downs only to go 3 and out. never in all my years watching have I seen a team stall at midfield and fail to even reach the redzone on drive after drive after drive. its almost like you have to TRY to accomplish something like that. Play calling, or execution, I don't know...but its not working at all.

I'm in my 30s and my memory ain't what it used to be but IIRC the first punt was downed inside the 5. Then 29 blows his flat coverage to allow a first down, then there a 15 yd unsportsmanlike call, then a 60+ yd punt that nets 50+ and leaves the offense back inside their own 30 on the next series. That's not the offense's fault.

Landry was too shallow all game long, always running back to catch the punt instead of coming forward with up the field momentum. The punt where he got trapped inside the 10 was especially bad. It's the little things that add up in an evenly matched game. Look at the stats, you'd never suspect that one team won by 19 points. The numbers suggest a pretty even contest.

Its not where we started the drives, we ended most at or near midfield and then stalled. Sad performance!
