Before we get too high on this as much fun as it is to watch, we'll really see what Tannehill (and the Defense) is made of with the upcoming schedule. The defensively injured Raiders on a 9-game losing streak playing a "Home" game in front of more Dolphins fans in London isn't exactly a big test. Though still impressive first half to have 14 completions in a row no matter who the opponent. But can they get some momentum and consistency from it, something they've lacked since the fortunate 2008 season?

    vs. Packers
    at Bears
    at Jaguars
    vs. Chargers
    at Lions
    vs. Bills
    at Broncos
    at Jets
    vs. Ravens
    at Patriots

The only game there that could be considered "easy" is the Jaguars game. The Jets aren't special, but they have a good defense so a primetime road game in December isn't easy. And the Bills have dominated Miami. All the other teams are playoff contenders.

Well I wouldn't assume those to be tough games. Then again that Jets home game last year with the playoffs on the line wasn't so great.

I just feel that stretch from GB to NE is where you'll see what they are truly made of. Lots of tough competition in there.

Well, a lot of people looked at the schedule before the season, considering injuries and suspensions, and said that 2-2 at this point was ok. Now we get the much needed bye, and then I think that we would all agree that going at least 1-1 in the next two is very important. Then you've got the last remaining game against a poor team in a while at Jacksonville, and if the team can be at least 4-3 at that point, they've put themselves into a position where they need to go 5-4 the rest of the way to get a winning record.

The games AT New England and Denver are obviously extremely difficult, so its crucial to hold serve at home and hopefully win at Detroit or New York. Six road games in nine weeks is rough, but at least only one of them is West of the Mississippi.

Can't forget we'll be getting back Pouncey, Reshad Jones and likely Misi.. I think it'll help the team a lot, especially for its morale boost. Pouncey is a leader of the offensive line and offense as whole, while Misi and Jones are capable starters for the defense.

EDIT: completely forgot Moreno as well.. this is going to be a whole new team after the bye week.

I thought before the season ever started that it was going to be the 12 games after the bye which would define this season.

The easier part of their schedule was the first four games and now the real season begins.

I predicted the Dolphins would finish the season 8-8 and after going 2-2 so far, I think they can win 6 of their final 12 games to get to that 500 mark once again.

I did enjoy the game today and it was nice to see Tannehill play his best game since last year, but it was the Raiders and they are just an awful NFL team.

Hopefully this offense will have the same success against the much tougher opponents they will be facing the rest of the season. Today's game was like a fifth preseason game for the Dolphins and in two weeks, the real season begins.

Why do some people have to look down the road RIGHT AFTER a great win? I am absolutely amazed that there isn't a single positive "rah rah" thread going right now, because the team dominated today. I don't care if the Raiders are a bad team because we are supposed to be a bad team too....a blowout win is always reason to celebrate!

So screw who we're going to play in two long weeks....today is about our Miami Dolphins baby!

Amen...we basically won 38-7, with a garbage time TD...hell, 3/4's of the 2nd half was garbage time.

Great win, regardless. Hopefully they can take it for the positives, realize the negatives, and turn it into momentum going forward.

Tannehill was laser accurate most of the day...I still say the ball that was tipped and picked was thrown to the right spot...Sims drifted right...could be wrong though, we'll probably never know.

Good to see Grimes get some 2013 play going again.

And Wallace has been impressing with his fire and grittiness...I'll take it overall (and yes...I saw the weaknesses too...but last I checked I'm not a coach and don't have to worry about 'em).

I genuinely thought when we beat the patriots, that we'd be 4-0 at the bye. 2-2 isn't great.

I had us 4-4 at the split, 10-6 overall...we'll need to win one I thought we'd lose (GB, Chicago) between now and the split for my guess to be on-line. Not too worried.

Today's win was wonderful. It was great to see the team not play down to a bad opponent - something that's been a problem dating back to the start of the Sparano era. When an average team plays a bad team, the better squad should win easily. Not only did they win, but they did it despite squandering another fumbled punt return that would have given the team great field position, getting called for a ticky -tack penalty that took away the TD on the screen pass TD, and then Simms bobbling the pass that resulted in the INT and took away a probable FG at least on that drive. For the second time in four weeks, the team overcame their own mistakes and won a game by a large margin.

That being said, i just feels like the team has a lot more potential that they aren't really showing yet. If they can get healthy and keep playing better together, I think that they can compete with most of the league. I've been let down a lot though, and am looking at it half full right now.

Another thing to think about is that Buffalo and New York have a rough go of it ahead of them as well.

    Buffalo:

    @ Detroit
    vs New England
    vs Minnesota
    @ Jets
    vs Kansas City
    @ Miami

    Jets:

    @ San Diego
    vs Denver
    @ New England
    vs Buffalo
    @ Kansas City
    vs Pittsburgh

The Jets schedule is brutal. Other than perhaps the home game against the Bills, they'll likely be underdogs in every game the next six. They're really looking at something like 2-8 straight in the face. Its really possible that they could be in complete disarray before we even play them once.

We can absolutely compete for this division. Im not sure of NE's upcoming schedule…but that team is very beatable as well. The entire AFCE has a tough schedule this year to be honest…thats why losing to KC hurt. BUT, its a long season and were getting healthy at a good time.

If we split those two games and beat the Jags we will be in great position going forward

Every single game New England plays outside of the division is against a playoff contender the rest of the way.

    @ Kansas City
    vs Cincinnati
    @ Buffalo
    vs Jets
    vs Chicago
    vs Devver
    @ Indy
    vs Detroit
    @ Green Bay
    @ San Diego
    vs Miami
    @ Jets
    vs Buffalo

If they don't sweep the Bills and Jets, things could get very interesting.

Also, if they lose tonight, its entirely possible that we could move into sole possesion of first place while on our bye next week. That would be so sweet

Well I'm going to enjoy a big win this week of course, I just think it is interesting to see that we have a quality schedule coming up. Plus, I mean there isn't much to say about the Raiders game aside from they had an excellent performance (though they still left points on the field which they can't do against GB/SD/CHI) like they should have, finally stepping up and dominating inferior competition unlike when they lost to last place teams a season ago.

This schedule is better than something like 2008, where they are 2-2 and then go on a winning streak against teams with losing records and then get exposed (or see the Chiefs last season to not pick on the Phins). That is the last time we've had a true winning streak, not one of those win 3 games, lose 3 of 4, win 2, lose 3, etc.

If they have found some sort of mojo this year, they'll have to show it against multiple playoff contenders. We also had an issue last season with beating a good team (Bengals) then laying an egg against a bad one (Bucs). Really hoping to see a strong streak ahead so they can show it wasn't just a fluke performance. It's going to get tougher.

    Not in Clearwater!
That schedule screams 8-8 right now
But, if we beat the packers in a few weeks I'd say 11-5 is actually believable.

To me the most important part will be winning the games I feel we should win.

That means the Jags. That means the Jets at least once if not twice. That means the Bills at home in a revenge game.

Aside from that we just need to play well each week and secure the needed victories for a winning record.

I agree with you. Frankly, the team should win both home games against the Jets and Bills, and against Minnesota. They should also win on the road at Jacksonville.

They're pretty unlikely, barring opponents injuries, to win on the road at Denver or New England.

That means that they probably need to go 3-2 against the other quality teams on the schedule. Seems fair if they're playoff quality.

Agree for the most part…but honestly I think the GB and at Chicago games are tougher match ups for us than NE. Not saying NE won't be a tough game, especially in their house. But based on the performances they have put out so far…they aren't as talented as GB or Chicago.

Regardless of personell - and Hoody & Brady can beat us, no matter who's around them it seems - I have absolutely no faith that the Fins can go into New England in December and come out with a W. Ten years from now, if the Fins are 12-3 going against a 3-12 Pats team the last week of the season, the Pats still win. Its just always been that way. *shrug*

Now, I hope and pray that they win, of course. But its hardest game #1 to me.
