Lets recap the first four games and than I'd like you to give me your honest assesment on where we will end up after the season record wise based on what you have seen so far this season. 1. Pats (W) 2. Bills (L) 3. Chiefs (L) 4. Raiders (W) ---------------------- 5. BYE ---------------------- 6. Packers 7. @Bears 8. @JAGS 9. Chargers 10. @Lions 11. Bills 12. @Broncos 13. @Jets 14. Ravens 15. @Pats 16. Vikings 17. Jets I honestly sat here and thought about these games, and what I have seen from the teams were facing the rest of the year and while you may not agree I think we end up with a 6-10 season. I have us losing week 6,7 winning week 8, losing 9 and 10, winning week 11, losing 12, 13, 14, and 15 and win 16 I started off originally thinking 10-6 season but I don't see it with this team. What do you all think we will end up record wise at the end of the year based on the first four games?
Wow I didn't realize after the Packers we have 6 road games in 7 weeks of football. Looking over the schedule I see 9-7 as likely. There were a couple I had some trouble with. So I don't feel confident I'll be correct.
I had it like this 6. Packers L 2-3 7. @Bears W 3-3 8. @JAGS W 4-3 9. Chargers W 5-3 10. @Lions L 5-4 11. Bills W 6-4 12. @Broncos L 6-5 13. @Jets W 7-5 14. Ravens L 7-6 15. @Pats L 7-7 16. Vikings W 8-7 17. Jets W 9-7 Games I had trouble with: SD, CHI, BAL, NE
I definitely think that the games with the Jags, both with the Jets, Vikings, and Bills are winnable games. If we take care of business in those five it will give us 7. The toss up games for me are San Diego and Baltimore and I think Chicago is beatable depending on which Cutler shows up. I can see us getting 9 wins.
Pretty much my prediction, but I'm tempted to swap the Packers with the Bears.. I think us playing at home and coming off a bye will give us a slight advantage and squeak out a win. Then I think we come back down to earth when we travel to Chicago...
The most important thing is consistency. This team can no longer afford inconsistent offensive coaching. W-L are not important. We do not have playmakers on the roster. But we have a good system if it is called balanced as it has been in the two wins, and we have good players. OC cannot have any more brain farts and call a game like a moron that he has been in the two losses. That is the most important thing, to call a balanced game and have players deliver the best they can. We almost lost the NE game even tho it was a great gameplan and playcalling because of the players screwing up. That is OK. I don't mind losing like that. But when you have an OC call 60 passes and 10 runs, I have a huge problem with inconsistencies from the coaching staff, specifically the rookie OC.
I understand your point but to date none of the offensive players have really done that . They've played well , been productive but haven't really made big impact plays , although they have indeed made productive plays and not just one or two , besides CC . I'd love a productive big play TE / HB .
I predicted before the season started this was an 8-8 team. Nothing I have seen over the first four weeks changes my early prediction. I just don't see this being a team which can be a legitimate playoff contender over the course of the entire season. Until they get better coaching on a week to week basis and play more consistent, they just don't appear to be anything but the same mediocre team they have been over the past five years.
I think that the Jaguars, two Jets, Bills, and Vikings games are all games we can win. The two toss up games for me are the Ravens and Chargers. If we can win all of those and win a game that we aren't favored to, we have 10 wins. It's just a matter of playing consistent.
To me, it all depends on what our real offense is. If yesterday was a sign that our offense is ready to take off then I'm optimistic. And let's not forget all the talent we are getting back after the bye. Season is FAR from over.
I said that we'd go 2-2 to start, and then 10-6 at the end, so I'm sticking with it. I think that we can go 4-2 through each of the next 6 game sets. Probably 5-1 at home, and road wins at Jacksonville, and either Detroit or New York.
I think a lot of fans on this forum hate the Jets so much, they fail to give them any credit at all for being a team which is just as talented as the Dolphins and a team with a better head coach. I think the Dolphins can win one game against the Jets this year, but I just don't see them beating the Jets twice. Last year was the Jets down year and they still ended up beating the Dolphins easily in the last game game of the season and finished ahead of the Dolphins in the division. I don't hate the Jets team. It is the Jets fans I have a problem with. I hope the Dolphins can beat the Jets twice this year, but history between these two teams clearly shows that no matter the record of these teams, it is very difficult for either of these teams to sweep the season series and I don't see this year being any different.
Better head coach? Yes. But the Jets are not a better team than us. Our roster is better than theirs and I'm not trying to be a homer but that's my honest opinion.
I don't know what yall are looking in that schedule that scares you, we get our guys back healthy, nobody but denver worries me. Worrying about Chicago...lol
If you want to say the Bills have an equally talented roster fine. Not the Jets. We should also have an advantage at the biggest position on the field. Im not saying we will beat them twice, but it's very possible.
I don't think that the Bills have better talent. They just have the specific talent that renders our offense useless.
I'd feel more my self if I knew we had a svelt 6'6 250lb outside linebacker with a healed shoulder being added in a couple weeks.. We all knew ryan could play better than he showed the first three weeks, I've mentioned a thousand times we can win regular season games with him.its all about him being able to elevate even more come playoff time, sense of urgency is the most important element that he needs to learn consistency with.. Once you show me a level, I will support you but I will expect you to continue to try and elevate higher..
I know you still have high hopes for Jordan, but I just don't see him as being better than any of the other DE's already on the roster. He played poorly during the preseason and after missing the first six weeks this year, I don't see him coming in and being a factor on the defense this year. As far as Tannehill is concerned. He played very well in the first half against a team which now has gone ten games without a victory. He was merely adequate in the second half of the game this past weekend. He continues to be a work in progress and hopefully he will show over the next 12 games that he can be the QB he was during the first half of the Raiders game and not the QB he was during the first three games this season and the last two games of the 2013 season.
To be fair, how many teams aren't effected by losing: - Their best RB - Their best olineman - Their best safety - Their starting MLB All while running a new offense for the first 4 games? 2-2 is a revelation.
Such pessimists around here... lol! I am going to stay positive despite anything. I'm changing my answer to 12-4. 6. Packers W 3-2 7. @Bears W 4-2 8. @JAGS W CRUSH like Raiders 5-2 9. Chargers W squeak it out with strengthening fronts and it's in Miami 6-2 10. @Lions L I like the Pouncey/Suh matchup, that should be good 6-3 11. Bills W REVENGE! 7-3 12. @Broncos L but close 7-4 13. @Jets W 8-4 14. Ravens W 9-4 15. @Pats W with a 2 TD lead 10-4 16. Vikings W 11-4 17. Jets W CRUSH 12-4 I had a problem with any L's. Why succumb to mental defeat? We should have a much healthier team coming out of the BYE, and a maturing O in the new system.
I think if the Bills had a competent QB they would win the division. Thei defense us equal to ours, their WR are about equal with Watkins probably becomibg bettet than Wallace in a year or two, and they have equal or better HBs depending what you feel about Spiller.
Nice. Surely we can beat the Pats again. They are finally turning into a bad team it seems. As for anyone else, if we get some consistency and start clicking on offense, anything is possible. Go Phins!!!
10- 6 6. Packers W - One of the worst run defense in the league. 7. @Bears W - Lacy their top runner is averaging 2.8 yards a carry. Does Jay Cutler scare anyone? 8. @JAGS W - No let up on a down an out team. 9. Chargers L - Even though its a home game I have changed my mind about the Chargers. They look pretty good. 10. @Lions L - 2 loses in a row has the board FREAKING out. 11. Bills W - Even though we don't match up with them well, the dysfunctionalness has already started to rear its head - and early. 12. @Broncos L - Road game to one of the best AFC teams. ug. 13. @Jets W - Who knows who will be the QB by then. 14. Ravens L - This could be a winnable game also. 15. @Pats W - The implosion is complete. 16. Vikings W 17. Jets W
