I was thinking along the same lines yesterday. Oakland fans are probably thanking us for doing them the favor.
Those fans will. Ive been reading some of their forums and they would rather hire Al Davis skeleton than have another game of their staff.
Report: Tony Sparano won’t be Raiders interim coach http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/09/30/report-tony-sparano-wont-be-raiders-interim-coach/ Fallon Smith @FallonSmithCSN I've also been told Tony Sparano will NOT be the #Raiders interim head coach.
@Edwerderespn Indications continue to be Tony Sparano will be #Raiders interim HC but OC Greg Olson made it known he wants job.
Raiders fan will beg for Art Shell to come back when they get a load of Pringles Can. Good news for Tony is the Raiders kicking game is pretty good right now, so he can fist pump after every 35 yard FG and downed punt inside the 20 pretty liberally.
Sparano is liable to win just enough games to avoid the top 5 pick next year. Then he still will get fired.Sounds familiar ?
Ahhh I was in bed...funny thing it was hardly news this morning and that's a terrible thing if you're the Raiders organization in that your team is hardly relevant anymore, no one cares about what happens to them.
So they went from Dennis Allen to Tony Sparano? Are we about to witness the first time in NFL history two head coaches have been fired from the same team in the same season? Who will they replace Tony Sparano with after Week 8?
I always liked Tony. He may not have been the greatest coach for us but he was far from the worst. I truly hope he does well out there. I agree he deserves a second chance. He sure does have his work cut out for himself, they're truly terrible. Congratulations Tony and good luck.
I'll stick with Justin Tucker. Even with a leg like Seabass has, the offense has to get him into range.
I can only imagine the fist pumping Janikowski must be doing right now. Finally he gets to be the coaches fave!!
Good for Sparano, hope he turns it around and earns the Raiders head coach position next year. I'm from the area of CT where he's from and I've ran into atleast 5 or 6 of his family members and they are all really cool people. Talked to some of them about Miami and boy do they really not like Ireland lol. Obviously their might be some bias there but it was interesting hearing what they had to say. I'm also a UNH alumni , where he coached and played, so I was really excited when he got hired and was disappointed how things turned out. Hope he can turn it around for the Raiders.
Alright guys we're in field goal range, good job, good job! Barrage of 3's! I think Sebastian Janikowski has a chance to cement his place among the legends in Canton, OH. Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk
Just that he was an arrogant ******* who would always be quick to throw sparano under the bus and always felt like he never was at fault for anything. Said they never got along and always butted heads. Pretty much said ireland was the reason Tony got fired.
I don't hate him, he's just unfit for his job in ways that are relatively unique among failed head coaching prospects. It should have precluded him from being hired, and barring that resulted in his firing earlier than it has.
