Its a good thing Miller is finally putting things together. Also the widely disregarded Thomas seems to have found a groove.

As long as Miller keeps playing the way he is we can manage another 3 games without him.

He'll be a great asset to have when he's back and is fresh for the second half of the season.

He's hurt, not dead. Don't see any reason he won't be with the team and barking at Miller and Thomas if needed.

Lamar has ran for 7.2 and 5.3 ypc the last two games. Keep that up and I'm not missing Moreno that much.

Thankfully the other guys are stepping up, which I really didn't expect. Miller is catching balls thrown to him and everything. Whudathunkit?

Loved seeing Thomas breaking out last week, then Williams come in and break tackles left and right. All the better when Moreno finally returns fully healthy

You know, douche isn't something you drink when you're feeling less douchey.

I have consistently said, that fire does not need to come from the coach and that I think its more effective coming from a veteran player.

Fire does need to come from the coach. The coach doesn't have to be fiery though. You can get players to run through brick walls for you, without running through one yourself. I don't think anyone is running through a wall for Philbin. Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy had players who loved them. Tomlin too. Bill Belichick. Not fiery coaches.

Argue? You give yourself too much credit.

On a related note: Today Lamar was on PFT Live to talk about the colossal mistake the fiery Philbin made last week regarding Tanny, but more important, his role when Moreno comes back. Anyone catch it?

Let's not crown Thomas yet. It's only been one game from him so far this year. But Miller's doing his thing, though.

Well, that really sucks. Basically he'll lose half the season due to coming down wrong while being tackled. Was really hoping that he could help pound the ball and control the clock against the Pack and Bears. At this rate, he'll likely have to completely tear it up when he comes back to get any sort of solid contract extension too.

Hopefully, he feels better sooner than his estimate.

I wonder how much of our success in the running game can be attributed to our RBs and how much can attributed to Benton and his zone blocking scheme, along with new players on the O-Line? Suddenly, save for the Bills game, our RBs all look different and seem to do fine in this new scheme. Very similar to Denver's success with many different RBs back in the day.

Like I said somewhere, JJ Watt played an entire season with a dislocated elbow and torn ligaments. Seems to me having two healthy elbows would be more important to a lineman than a RB. Watt just started wearing that big brace and kept on going. Why couldn't Moreno just brace it up and carry the ball in his right arm?

while JJ Watt is a beast and you're right it would be very difficult with a dislocated elbow, Watt doesn't have to worry about ball security

Not every coach does it. Some win a lot of games and are open, or at least plesant, with the media. I despise the anti-fan/anti-media policies that the team has had since Saban came along. It pisses me off, and accomplishes nothing.

I didn't say every coach does it. I said its a fairly common practice. It has nothing to do with antagonizing the media, its a strategy thing. You can argue its effectiveness but acting as if Philbin is uniquely horrible for doing it is silly.

Belichick is even worse to the media by far, and everyone cups his balls for it.

Again, there's plenty to give Philbin **** over, but these silly non issues that everyone seems to latch on to is effing bizarre.

Or not naming THill the starter. Or not poaching a player NE cut before the game.

All of these thing have been blasted left and right.

This article also says Moreno may very well have been lying also. Apparently Philbin orders them not to discuss injury recovery timeframes. Another reason he sucks.[/QUOTE]
