Sounds like some copper-lined, lead bottom, screwed tight, and lead soldered simplification there! Could be a good idea to go back and review some of those videos for intruding linemen, stone handed receivers, and running backs who couldn't pour pee out of a boot if the directions were on the heel!

I don't know how often you go to Europe but make no mistake it take a week to fully adjust, coming back is a cake walk basically you feel like you stayed up and partied, next morning you are ready to go.

 

Still not good.

 

I can't disagree with this strongly enough. I routinely travel to a +13 time zone, and I've taken numerous trips to England/Germany/France. IMO, it only takes about two days to adjust if you actually take steps to acclimate yourself rather than trying to go about your business normally.

 

Why are we even still talking about this? The Dolphins destroyed the Raiders in all aspects of the game, so obviously they weren't jet-lagged or too tired to play. If we didn't win by 28 after intentionally cruising through the last quarter and a half on autopilot, then I might see this as a topic....but it's just not the case.

Because others don't need your approval to discuss something that's on their mind? There's no rule that says you have to enter a thread if you don't feel it's worthy of discussion.

 

The whole thing started because Philbin has zero idea about how he shows himself and the team to the media. Apparently he has a (stupid) policy that whenever asked who is starting at any position, he gives the same canned answer that "he'll play his best 46", or something along those lines, and will not commit to anyone. The man comes off as having zero humanity, and makes Tom Coughlin look like a media star by comparison.

He just does not get it.

 

But when Belichick lies about injuries, he's a genius.

 

Nope, he's a rotten ***. Hate the guy. He'd win without it. Can't be more than a fraction of a fraction of his success.

 

It may add nothing to his success, but reporting on injuries is done for gambling and nothing else. Not giving full disclosure to the media about player injuries is not a dick move.

 

I doubt that's even his policy, just some BS he came up with outta thin air on the heels of another loss and rough performance by Tannehill to avoid committing to him before meeting with the coaches to discuss a potential switch to Matt Moore. I mean he had no problem letting the media know that Shelly Smith and Colledge would be our starting guards heading into the season.

 

It's to protect the player.

 

I didn't say you need my permission, but it's a completely moot point.

- Arguing over whether or not the Fins would be too jet-lagged to play has already been proven. They played great.
- Arguing over Philbin's generic answer that hurt Tannehill's feelings has already played out- did you see a divide on the football field last Sunday?
- Arguing over Philbin losing the team has also played out- did they play like a team that wasn't well coached?

I just don't get the attitude that even though the team came together and got a big win, we still have to argue over inner-office politics that none of us know anything about in the first place.
