Funny how earlier in the week some were acting as though a win over GB was pretty certain for Miami. Anything but!

The Packers started really rough but they have come on strong the last couple of weeks. Their offense is very balanced and their defense is playing pretty tough of late. They are a very good team. It would be an upset to beat them, imo.

Need to ride our run game against this team. long run heavy drives chewing up tons of clock. Defensive strategy is even more obvious, get after Rodgers. If we don't get a pass rush he will carve us up.

Worst thing we can do is go down two scores early in this game. Team better come out fired up, not like the first 3 weeks of the season.

Were on the road and playing in the extreme heat. You guys beat us up here the last time we played and we had more weapons then. This wont be an easy game. Miami and their fans are the only other team that I really like outside of GB so it wont be a huge loss if we lose but I still want a huge W on the road. Then we got the Panthers at home and the Saints on the road.

Well I've been on record stating that if Miami beats Oakland in London then I foresee them losing to both the Packers and Bears. No reason to turn on that prediction at the moment. But it'll be a good game, so we'll see.

I am worried about two words for us. Trap game. At least though our next opponent is Carolina after Miami so there is no reason to look ahead and Miami is a good football team. I think though after two big wins over divisional rivals hopefully this team doesn't think they have to just show up. I know you guys hope for that and the Packers have been known to do that.

Rogers rhythm is def happening over a stretch of games, let's hope Tannehill clicked on as well.

I think He usually plays well when facing other great qbs, I know he had his 2nd best game ever against Luck.

we always play the good teams tough, we have problems with teams we are supposed to beat, so i'm confident we can beat the packers at home

That's who I freakin wanted to draft. He was the only QB to beat USC that year. I started a thread saying he was Joe Montana with a stronger arm. I was laughed at...

EDIT: He was predicted to go #1 overall until for some strange reason Alex Smith catapulted him.

Really hope Randy Starks is back for this game. He needs to chip another one of Rodger's teeth.

I sent my friend a text intimating the same feelings. He looks 'Discount Double-Check' inspired. While some can make quarterbacking look easy at times, Rodgers makes it look video game easy when he gets in the groove.

Scary prospect for Miami moving forward. But they're playing in Miami. Let's see if the team can play inspired against Green Bay. I honestly would not be surprised if Miami won convincingly.

I remember the good ol' days of Jordy Nelson -- Brian Hartline comparisons...

Anyways, when GB gets anything out of their run game that is a bear of an offense. They attack vertically more than just about anyone, maybe even Philly. Every possession it seems they call at least a play or two with a long-developing drop that's designed to go deep. And Aaron Rodgers has that primetime attitude where he just wants to show off and rack up those kill shots (which I like about him, actually).

Because they want to attack like that, imo it's very hard to play from behind against them because when they're front-running they can do even more of that stuff to bury you. Gotta come out fast and keep pace.

Exactly. This is a game we absolutely cannot make costly mistakes in... every turnover we give up can potentially turn into a TD.

Over the next two weeks, we are going to find out more about this team. Are we the same old dolphins? Sparano, and to this point, Philbin's Dolphins lose these games.

Are we what most thought we were vs KC (a team needing a new HC and QB) or are we what some are thinking now...a team that's turned the corner? We'll know next Sunday.

Yeh..its called hes pissed. Hes almost unstoppable when he plays like this.

I think our best shot is to control the clock running the ball, and limit Rogers to as many field goals as possible. We arent going to stop them between the 10's....just gotta keep them from getting 7.

Grimes vrs Nelson is the key to the game.

This game is for big time players and grimes is a big time player, I think he rises to the occasion and wins that crucial matchup for us, Nelson is playing great football but they have not replaced the talent loss of jennings, driver, and Finley.

Cobb is good, but if Grimey can win his matchup we can bracket Cobb a bit..

    Grimey is the key.

So do we press and try to give the line that little bit more time to pressure? GB's OL hasn't looked great this year...big matchup advantage for us IMHO.

Through a mix of our defense stepping up and our offense making crucial plays, Tannehill will need to outplay or play even with Rodgers.

He has never played on Rodgers' level...maybe close to it in the Raiders game and the last Pats game in 2013...if he can play at the same level as the Raiders game, we win going away.

Were ranked 23rd in defense right now. We were probably last before the Vikings game. Were giving up an average of 371 yards per game. We need to get better in the words of Bill Belicheck lol.

  40. PhinFan1968

That's kind of a "meh" stat though honestly. GB is 22nd in the league at the moment giving up 371 yards per game...Miami's 7th giving up 322. 3 yards per game average per position between 7th and 22nd...49 total yards...not a big teller IMHO. That's less than half the field.

GB is top 10 giving up 21 pts per game...Miami 24.
