Looks like another local celebrity is looking to be a minority owner of the team.

I'm not adverse to this. Local rappers have been pretty supportive of Miami sports over the years.

Yeah, I don't follow rap or hip hop and have never heard of him. Is he even a big time celeb or just some minor guy looking to make himself more famous this way?

At this point we already have JLo and Fergie so it really can't get that much worse.

You think he's related at all to Stephen?

Man, wtf is with all of these total s--t bag entertainers or whatever the hell you want to call them? Whoever is finding these people should instantly be fired. Can we get one cool musician? Somebody? .....lame.

If you have a strong opinion about Rick Ross - either way - then you are a douche.

It's really quite irrelevant. Who cares. Does anyone really notice or care that Jloe, Fergie, the other guy, and whoever else are minority owners? It doesn't really effect anything, so who cares really? It's not like they're making any decisions. Or... are they? Maybe that's why we're always not good enough... Maybe I'm onto something here...

    Seriously though, who cares.

Just play "Everyday I'm Hustlin" after touch downs instead of that aluminum canned "miami has the dolphins" crap and I am okay with this.

I think this is called cultural differences. Some people think your tastes are lame, doesn't make it right, just different.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Minority ownership may be the most meaningless thing in sports (unless you are talking family and a 49% stake - and the majority guy screws up).

The laundry guys ... forget that, the ticket takers ... have a bigger impact on the team than these minority owners do.

IMO this is an obvious publicity stunt designed to get some free attention from the press.

lmao, Seth isnt to "hip" in the rap game obviously. Although playing Rick Roll in the stadium everytime we get a turn over on the opponent, that'd be great!

If we're talking about the rapper, who was a former prison guard, that stole someone else's entire identity to sell records.....then, NO.

If we're talking about the real Freeway Rick Ross, the big time drug kingpin who ran the West Coast in the 80s.....then, let me think about it.

As far as I am concerned, we already have one too many Ross's who own this team.

I always find it weird when a celebrity announces they own a minority share of a team. And then they walk around to every radio station as if they're the actual owner of the team, starts talking about plans and say "WE GOING TO LOOK FOR THE BEST OPTIONS AVAILABLE, WE GOT PLANS, WE GONNA SIT DOWN AND TALK TO THESE VERY IMPORTANT PEOPLE AND COME OUT WITH ANSWERS". And it's like dude, you own a forth of a percent of the team... Why even buy it or brag about it? Does it help with taxes maybe? That's like a Packers' fan walking into their headquarters and telling security that it's okay, he owns a stock on the team.

I still remember Jay Z and that commercial he did where he did some hand movements and was showing off the blueprint of Barclay Center, as if he had anything to do with it, yeah he invested his own billion dollars to it. Meanwhile just a year or two ago he sold his share of the team for like 300k to open his sports marketing/agency, which is like nothing. He was always walking around and the thing everyone was saying was that he owns the Nets.

Owning .25% of the team guarantees lifetime season tickets at some celebrity booth on the stadium/arena, that's all.

Ahhh, That's cute....and deep. You're right, growing up in and around NYC and being a musician, I am not aware that there are cultural differences. LOL. Good one. There is good and bad in everything and jftr, i'm including him in with Jimmy Buffet. LOL!! I think Buffet is just as bad or worse. I guess Ross could get some of those Miami youngsters in the stadium. Not a bad thing.

Buffet I like. This guy, I'd never heard of until this week.

Either way, celeb owners are meaningless and a waste of time. They bring nothing of value.
