Moreno's injury and Miller's new found talent have depressed Moreno's value. I'd resign him for 3 years and draft Duke Johnson. Peterson is both damaged goods and an unapologetic ****. He's homophobic, beats his kids, and doesn't even have the self-awareness to keep that **** to himself.
i would stay away from Cecil Shorts III, he is made out of glass danny amendola style, i wonder if his harmstring issues are ever going away or if this is already chronic for him
It's depressing how so many ex-Florida players don't want to play for Miami and some go out of their way to diss us(Sapp for instance). Is it due to our bad management the past few years? Maybe because we passed up so many of them over the years? I'd like to know.
If the Dolphins are truly playing for next year, I'd package Randy Starks and Cam Wake for a high value pick? (1st-2nd only). I'd love to get some more older vets to help teach the younger guys how to be a pro.
I think the biggest weakness on our team is LB. If there is anyone available there, I'd be ok with a move. We also have too many talented guys at WR and limited playing time. I'd be ok with shipping one of them for a draft pick.
Not really, if the Phins are playing for next year. It's 2-4 at the deadline and a new HC and GM. Getting the most ammo for the next staff is the best option. If the Phins are playing for this year. It's 4-2 at the deadline and the offense is gelling. Keeping the above two guys and adding a veteran WR (S. Holmes or James Jones) is a good idea.
I think that's a good idea in theory, but in practice, do you expect the next hiring to be the right one? I wouldn't trade away assets like those until the next regime is in place, if at all.
I think if Miami is going into the Jags game at 2-4, they should seriously consider trying to trade Cameron Wake. He's so cheap. He's still very good. However, Miami/Ross has to be thinking that the current structure isn't going to get things done. You might as well gather as much ammunition to get your future QB, or the player(s) that you want. Dennis Hickey said he's tied to Joe Philbin. So, if you're Ross, whomever, you need to step in and make a play.
what his face on nfl network say that there is a lot of talk around the league about trading for tampa players, including vincent jackson. our gm knows those players well, wonder if we could get some depth from them.
Chad Greenway is really awful and has been for a couple years now. He wouldn't be a solution, he'd be back to Ellerbe/Wheeler. http://vikingsterritory.com/2014/an...nway-has-been-bad-at-football-for-three-years
I understand the "everyone's available" mentality, but you'd be alienating a lot of players and a lot of fans if you dumped the heart and soul of the defense (and who also incidentally happens to be a good role model, a model citizen, and a player we've been conspicuously underpaying). Also, at his salary point, my expectations would be sky-high. And he'd want a new deal anyway, which would change the team compensation.
AFCE is wide open trading Kraken in season would be quite unwise. VJax for Bline would make sense from a contract stand point, maybe even Wallace, today's NFL is as much about contracts as it is out on the field.
I don't see Jackson as a great fit TBH. He's more of a deep ball threat with bigger size. He is massive…and can go up and compete but honestly thats not really his game. I think James Jones would be much cheaper and a much better fit in place of Hartline.
When the first set of UM, UF, and FSU players were coming up, they were watching Dan Marino light up the NFL. This current set know Jay Fiedler as the premier Dolphins QB. These kids didn't even grow up as fans of the Dolphins and the fans realize that players on winning teams get paid well.
I don't think so, and hickey is still close with a lot of front office people there. Lynch is also on his way out but i dont think seattle trades him now.
He seems healthy. Getting about 14 carries a game lately. I'd love to see him paired with Miller back there. Give them each 15 carries a game. He's still got one year on his contract after this one at 850k. Wonder what the cost would be.
Why would Philly want him? Honest question. He would not get playing time over Maclin, Cooper, or Jordan Matthews.
