What is your prediction in a must win for the dolphins to avoid going 2-4 with a tough schedule ahead. On paper its doesn't look good with tannehill being 0-4 on the road against ncf opponents.
The 0-4 on the road against NFC teams doesn't matter. It's history. Miami takes this one EASILY IMHO. Chicago may make it semi-close with some crazy trash-time drives, but the game will be out of doubt by the 4th quarter. We'll get at least 2 INTs and take it 35-24.
Sadly my confidence is lost. I love and support this team but I've already prepared myself for a let down.
The Dolphins defense should keep it close for three quarters, but I just don't have much faith in Tannehill being able to lead this team to a victory on the road against a slightly above average Bears team. Prediction- Bears 27- Dolphins 17.
Yea I feel the same way.I was pumped and confident before the packers game but reality punched me in the face after Rodgers threw that last second td.Same old playoffless dolphins.6-10 or 7-9 here we come.
It's the result of losing a sig bet on the GB game with Arodgers12. Besides...it's not Rodgers' fault we served it up on a silver platter.
Wow. I hope you're right. First person I've seen that thinks we win this "easily". I think we lose. Unfortunately, i think we lose by 14+ points also.
If it is the same old Dolphins, their next loss will be at the Chargers. or they will win ever game up to the brocoes, be 7-4, beat the Jets and then lose 4 straight.
We usually have their live stuff pumpin' somewhere around my house too...my son's favorite band by a mile...he saw them a few months back in Austin...up close to the stage.
I think its easy to go all..wahhh..poor us Dolphins were gonna loose..but the reality is we have just as good talent across the board as Chicago..even better as well. If 17 plays as well as hes capable we win easy. If not we loose simple as that.
Anything's possible...but their best game this year was 28 points, Cutler has 6 INTs and 5 fumbles...not worried at all.
the toughest part of this game is the fact that the bears haven't won at home so they must come out juiced as hell. ryan tannehill played his best half of his career, he's talking about now is the time to put it all together.. hmmmm, should i trust a guy who thinks that running backs should do all the running??
Here's a few other things after seeing the injury report. Their offensive line is going to be fully healthy for the first time since the 2nd quarter of the first game vs the Bills. While they've had issues this year, they've done it with a few UDFA playing for Slaussen and Garza. The past two weeks Bushrod has been out as those guys have come back. We all know that it's a must for us to get pressure on Cutler. Those guys coming back will only make it more difficult to get near him. They're also getting Shea McClellin & DJ Williams back. She McClellin was terrible at DE and he's been out for awhile. Not sure what he's like at OLB. DJ Williams should help them in stopping the run. I think he may be a liability in pass coverage. Lance Briggs has been terrible. He being out of the lineup actually hurts. Their LBs last week looked fast and physical and now some of them seem to be taking a backseat. That may be a good thing. Conte is terrible in coverage and isn't much better defending the run. So, again it's really addition by subtraction for the Bears. All in all, I think their health, and to a degree their injuries, make them an even tougher matchup Sunday.
Also, Kyle Fuller is slowly becoming a shutdown corner. However, he hasn't faced the speed he's going to see from Wallace. That is something Bears fans are looking forward to. One other thing is Mike Wallace hasn't always shown the best ball control when he's running with it. I've sometimes seen him carry the ball vertically against his chest. Fuller is a guy that has already forced 3 fumbles. That's something to watch out for too.
Ya that kid Fuller's fun to watch (except this weekend...unless he gets smoked). He plays on a different gear it seems.
I wouldn't get too pumped or too down over this game . what we should be focused on is beating a very weak afc east rivials we cant afford to be swept by the Bills or jets. all I know is I am sick of no playoffs and sick of not having stars on offense I am desperate to see Miami win a super bowl .
Can you picture Finnegan and Grimes trying to keep Brandon Marshall from catching a jump ball, or tackling him after he comes down with it?
Lose. We blew the GB game that we needed. Several reasons for the loss: #1 - our CBs are not great this year and there is no one who can cover Brandon Marshall. I expect 15 targets to him. And, a big game from him. #2 - Bears (as noted above) have not won at home. They will be hungry as hell and the crowd will be into it. #3 - we are coming off a bad loss and going on the road - with a coach who is questionable in the locker room - and questionable on the field. It just does not seem to be a good situation for me. The one positive is that these are the kinds of games that the Dolphins the past several years have sometimes surprised us.
I wish I could fist bump you 100 times. Ought to change the name to phinssuck.com with all the naysayers running round. The game is a tossup IMO, only a blow out would surprise me.
If our HC takes the day the day off.....we stand a better chance of winning. If our Owner sells prior to kickoff, we can nearly guarantee a Win.
Haha!Have you even watched this team the last 10 years.Almost every negative post on this site is justified because this team has only 1 wildcard birth in the last 10 years. You might be right about the name change because in the past decade the phins do suck!
Sure is easy to be a great fan when you know they are gonna win. Ive been watching the Phins for over 30 years...will always find a way to be hopeful about this team..
This I actually agree with. Grimes and finnegan are in a tough spot for sunday. Bennett is due for a good game too. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
If the team had a coach that instilled great confidence - and did a phenomenal job of preparing them mentally (clearly he doesn't as last week among others demonstrated) - I think we'd win. I think the talent is enough to get to the playoffs. But, as it is, we do not have the leadership at the HC level to instill confidence in a winning team.
I am 48 so I have been watching even longer than you and yes I watch every game but I can see a winning team from a losing team.So you can be hopeful all you want but the bottomline is this team is going nowhere again.
