Uh huh..how bout they forced a rookie to make bad plays..We made the plays..Bortles didnt walk up and put it in their hands.

Sick of hearing how fortunate they were...who cares we won. If we trounced them youd be saying..eh they are still an 8-8 team it was Jags...

Pace was good. Passing offense was poor. Play calling favored the pass again. The result was to be expected, poor offensive output. Luckily OC got away with it in spite of himself.

I take nothing away from the Dolphins defense today. I agree they were effective in making the plays against a rookie QB who isn't yet ready for prime time.

That doesn't change the fact that I still think the Dolphins are the third best team in the AFC East and will probably end up 8-8 once again this year.

On another note, Hartline continues to be Mr. Unreliable this season. I was never a fan of his, and this offense exposes alot of what he doesn't do well.

I have been a fan of his and don't know how it's possible to not give him at least some grudging respect, but he has not played well this year. I didn't get a good look at the first drop, but the second on the stop and turn in was a bullet that did not hit him in the hands, but might have been catchable. The last was at his ankles.

I think Gibson is a better and more reliable WR than Hartline. I don't know why he isn't used instead of Hartline, unless he still isn't fully recovered from his leg injury from last year. Unless Hartline turns it around over the next nine weeks, I don't see him being on the roster next year unless he takes a big cut in pay.

The two wins in a row are against the Bears and Jags, not Raiders and Jags.

I didn't state that they had won their last two games in a row. I was just pointing out that two of their wins were against teams that has a total of one win over the course of the entire season so far.

I realize that they also beat the Patriots and the Bears.

I also recognize that in the past few years the Dolphins have found a way to lose games against inferior teams like the Raiders and Jaguars. So at least beating these two bad teams is a huge step in the right direction for this Dolphin team.

I'm usually not the reactionary type, but after seeing Hartline butter finger a couple of passes he should have caught, I found myself saying trade him before the deadline and re-sign Damian Williams. If Hartline cannot be a glue fingered Raymond Berry or Fred Biletnikoff, he is worthless in this offense.

You don't think having a migraine is a logical excuse for the way he was playing?

I didn't say it wasn't a logical excuse. I just stated he was giving me a migraine watching his play during the time he was in the game. I'm thankful that he finally realized that his headache was affecting his play and he requested to be removed from the game.

I hope he feels better after a good nights rest.

I have bad migraines and I cant even function. I was trying to figure out what was up with Colledge because he looked lost and even worse,, could not react quickly to anything. He should have been yanked the minute he had migraines. Tannehill could have got hurt. Not even joking

Colledge is awful on his own merits and I'm not sure this was outside the realm of a plausible performance if he were totally healthy

  18. MrClean

    MrClean Inglourious Basterd Club Member

Colledge is just a middling guard when 100%, but I don't see how anyone could logically see a decided drop in his performance today and not surmise that something out of the ordinary was wrong with him. To infer that he'd have been just as bad without the migraines is preposterous.

Perhaps I feel they are better than the Dolphins because they have beat the Dolphins the last THREE times the teams have met. In fact they beat the Dolphins quite easily the week after the Dolphins beat the Patriots.

To me it doesn't matter how the Bills won their other games or who they lost to. It only matters what happened when the two teams played each other earlier in the year and in that game, the Bills were clearly the better team.

Right now the Bills are ahead of the Dolphins in the standing because of their victory over the Dolphins earlier in the season.

I'm really not sure why you are stating I am contracting myself when I state the Bills are better than the Dolphins. Their record right now and their 3 straight wins over the Dolphins clearly show that the Bills right now are the better team.

Perhaps that won't end up being the case when the season is complete, but if the season ended right now, the Bills would finish ahead of the Dolphin in the standings. So right now, I see them as the better team.

Before today, PFF had him with 2. I saw 2 for sure today, and even that low pass, while more on RT, Hartline didn't make much of an effort to go down for it.

I really don't know what qualifies as a dropped pass but I am certain Hartline has more then two dropped balls this season.

Me neither. Coming into today, PFF had Gibson with 3 and Wallace, Landry and Hartline each with 2.

And..they have played one more game then us...

Dolphins are 10th in the AFC. Partly cause they have played one less game.

You would not know it going by some posts. Once again i'm reading posts from a bunch of negative vibe merchants. We won. Deal with it! un******* real!! Its about results and wins last time i looked. Shameful and clueless. Stick another one in the win column.

Only four teams in the AFC with a losing record! I can't remember ever seeing that before. Of course, partly due to the uneven number of games played, and wins vs the NFC. Also, those four are a combined 4-27.

The Browns are 4-3 and alone in last place in the AFC North. The Panthers are 3-4-1 and in first place in the NFC South.

Correct... If the fins were 4-4 they would be 13th. If they were 5-3 they could be as high as 4th (not sure we're they would fall in the tie breakers)

I don't know why he was even starting if he was indeed suffering migraines.. I get them they are extremely debilitating. It's difficult to even achieve basic tasks, I couldn't imagine attempting to play a physically taxing football game in a loud *** stadium.

I knew there had to be something wrong with him. It's on the coaching staff for even allowing him to start under those circumstances.

2 of the 3 losses are against AFC, 1 against division opponent, so that kinda sucks. We'd probably be in the middle of the pack.

The play calling was what won this game in the end. The o-line was trounced today and Lazor was able to adjust to that fact in the second half. Yes, the defense came up huge, and this was their game, but if the offense had played in the second half like they did in the first we most likely would have lost.

That wouldn't include the Dolphins would it? ;)

They beat the Bears as well, and lost to a much different Pats team than we faced. Still a lot of game left but it'll be interesting to see where they slot vs the Phins. Orton is playing well so far.

First of all, if you check the record of the Dolphins vs the Patriots for the last twelve years, I'm sure you will find that the Patriots have won the majority of the games over that period of time.

Otherwise the discussion was concerning the Dolphins and Bills at this time. I really don't see how there can be any argument that the Bills are better than the Dolphins right now. Especially when the Bills have won the last three meetings between the two teams and handled the Dolphins rather easily the last two times the teams have met.

I admitted that this could change over the course of the next nine weeks, but the only way you can determine the better team right now is by looking at each teams record and right now the Bills have a better record than the Dolphins. I realize the Bills have played one more game, but even if they had played the same number of games at this time and they were both 4-3, the Bills would still be in 2nd place, based on the fact they beat the Dolphins earlier in the season.

The Dolphins will get another chance later in the season to prove they are better than the Bills, but until they actually beat the Bills on the playing field, I really don't understand why there is even a debate as to which team is batter at this time.

Seems like alot. I'm listening to Omar Kelly on the Joe Rose show, he's actually giving Hartline a pass for this game, saying "every WR is allowed one brain fart game" or something like that. Seems like there's been more than one game to me this year for BH.
