First off, excellent hustle by Jenkins to turn around and run down Bortles and chop the ball loose. Love this kid. A little confusion on the recovery though. Delmas was credited with the recovery, except if you watch the video, Delmas comes out of the pile and stands next to Brent Grimes WITHOUT the football. So, uh, who wound up recovering for us? http://www.miamidolphins.com/multim...d_Fumble/b7055a06-dcec-41f0-b3a3-47f5f047bc11
I'd guess Jones or Wheeler. Jones because he is in the middle of the pile, and Wheeler was close too, but the dreads may have caused the mix up between he and Delmas,
He has sacks and forced fumbles and a safety. No impact plays my ***. Jenkins is a blossoming beast who now has my heart. As for the interception. That was a really tough play to make. He was running towards the receiver and the ball got deflected right to his face mask swiftly at close range. It would have been an incredible play.
All I know is one of our boys fought their *** off for that ball under the pile and he is not getting the proper credit he deserves. I demand justice!
Lollll. That damn pigeon was everywhere today. We should sign him to a contract. Defensive starters: DL: Wake, Vernon, Starks, Odrick LB: Jenkins, Misi, Pigeon DB: Grimes, Finnegan, Jones, Delmas Result: Championships. A lot of them.
If you watch the replay frame by frame, it was almost definitely Jacksonville's ball once the pile started forming. So you're absolutely right, somebody used a ninja-like nut grab or something to take possession amidst the chaos.
Bradley was going nuts point to the jumbotron that one of his guys had possession. Can they go to replay in a situation like this to award the recovery?
The replay has to show clear evidence of a recovery. They wouldn't have been able to do that. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
Agree that it wouldn't have been overturned. I heard Mike Carey say that once an official seems someone in the pile with clear possession, they make a ruling. All the nut-grabbing that goes on after doesn't affect their call. On a side note, Gus Bradley is insane. Dude needs to calm down. Haven't seen a coach go ape like that in a while.
Did you watch the video? Delmas didn't recover it. He was one of the guys there first, but he eventually gets out of the pile and stands there with Grimes waiting for the refs to find who had the ball.
And yeah, I don't get what Bradley's problem was. Every replay I saw there was no clear recovery from either side, and they showed a few different angles. Players from both teams pounced simultaneously.
Off topic but yes, he made a drive killing 3rd down pass defense but before he missed a tackle that extended a drive on 3rd and long. The guy can cover like glue. Wilson needs to be eased out and Taylor needs to be given a chance.
