Seems quiet so far. Would expect something from the beat writers after they get out of the locker room.
Sigh of relief guys. Andrew Abramson @AbramsonPBP 6m6 minutes ago Lamar Miller says his injury was just a stinger. Could've come back if it was a close game.
Why did they put him back out there after he initially was injured in what was basically a decided game?
They didn't, did they? I thought he got hurt on the 3rd-and-2 run where he walked off the field slowly. Thomas and Williams the rest of the way, right?
Not to change the subject, but I think Williams will be our feature back 2-3 years down the road. I've always been very high on Miller so this isn't a slight against him at all; I just love the way Williams works the field and fights so hard for a little guy.
For most of us, this is where they cut to the Jets game....so we don't know. I didn't get the Sunday Ticket to work after that for about 20-25 minutes so I have no idea. It made me so mad that I was "blacked out" since it was on my local channel....even though it was no longer there.
Same here. Red Zone switched to the game right after the Rivers fumble and showed a replay, so I only missed a few plays. The Game log shows the play I mentioned as Miller's last one.
Miller was on the sidelines with his helmet off for the two drives after his touchdown. The team generally doesn't rotate backs like that.
Actually, hasn't Miller been sitting out drives a lot lately? (I'm extra interested since he's my fantasy starter). Thomas and Williams have been getting entire series' instead of Miller at least dating back to the Chicago game. Before that, Miller rotated with Moreno when Knowshawn was healthy.
From Armando: Miami Dolphins running back Lamar Miller is apparently fine. He spent a grand total of perhaps 45 seconds in the team trainer's room after Sunday's game. He left the locker room wearing no sling or any other protection for his left shoulder. "It was just a stinger but I'm good," Miller said. "I'll be fine once I get treatment." Miller clearly will need the treatment to keep his grip strength and might miss some parts of practice because he is clearly not 100 percent. He struggled to pull a T-shirt over his head after his shower. But that is a far cry from the concerns some fans had when they saw or found out Miller was injured in the third quarter of today's game against San Diego. Miller, you see, is Miami's starter and only real big threat at running back. Miller did not return after he left the game but that was perhaps as much about the team's thorough 37-0 whipping of San Diego as it was the injury. "I could have come back," Miller said. Nonetheless, the Dolphins sent Miller for an MRI. That will tell the real story of how serious this is. Read more here: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/dolphins_in_depth/#storylink=cpy
I don't think so, it's usually package-based. Occasionally if you've got a drive that ends a certain way it can look that way, but Miller on the bench for two straight series was definitely abnormal. The helmet thing especially so. If you're a common substitute and your unit is on the field, you've got a helmet on.
