The only thing I've ever seen Cumberbatch in was the last Star Trek movie, and I wasn't all that impressed by his portrayal of Kahn. He played it as if he were an android - I'm not sure if thats what the direction was. He did well as the voice of Smaug as well. He gets so much press, but he's mostly an unknown to me.
If you look at the latest Avenger Trailer, one of the Andy Serkis looks like a lot like Ulysses Klaw, who is one of Black Panther's villains. Hopefully they will make the announcement tomorrow to counter act the trailer leaking early and DC's 2020 release of Cyborg
And this news isn't even counting the upcoming X-Men movies, which are Marvel but done by FOX. Good time to be a geek, lol.
This is the GREATEST time to ever be a comic fan. Period. Our heroes are being brought to life with a limitless budget, and incredible detail. It's amazing.
Agreed. It doesn't matter if you like just Marvel or just DC or both, bottom line is you should be rooting for all of these movies to be big hits and be good movies as competition is the best thing for both companies. Awesome looking Marvel line up here, and really hope WB/DC steps up their game as well with their DC Universe.
I dream of the day that these movies are so ****ing succesful we can have a Capt/Batman cross over or some ****.....thats the next level haha
Holy Crap. I love being a nerd. stupid people who don't like superhero movies are missing out on so much.
when I was a kid (before your time) they'd have those occasional giant size comics with crossovers. the stories were lame, but they were so awesome just to see the universes crossing over.
No infinity war is the fight with thanos over the infinity gauntlet. The roots of civil war are thought to begin in cap 3 an then avengers 3 would be civil war.
I really really liked Capt 2, think its probably the best Marvel movie, but while the fanboy in me would love to see it or another comic based film nominated, I can't see how it would be or the "powers that be" would allow it. If The Dark Knight didn't get a nod (and I understand that it was before they expanded the number of films which was a direct result of TDK not getting picked) I can't see how Capt 2 could be, which again I really liked but it doesn't scream of best picture material.
Correction: Infinity Gauntlet is the fight with Thanos over the infinity gauntlet. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Infinity_Gauntlet) Infinity War is almost same thing but with lame character called Magus. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infinity_War) I am hoping that the film is based on Infinity Gauntlet's story and titled Infinity War cuz it sounds cooler then Infinity Gauntlet. (Hoping.....)
Its official, Benedict Cumberbatch is Dr. Strange and that is freaking awesome!!!!!!!!! http://mashable.com/2014/12/04/strange-days-ahead-for-benedict-cumberbatch-who-lands-the-marvel-role-after-all/ Was never into the comic, but I'll watch anything with Cumberbatch.
this was amusing. GoTG was one of my top 3-4 hero movies, but this is still funny http://youtu.be/dOyJqGtP-wU
nice. where did you see that? Agents of Shield is finally starting to get me hooked. I'm glad I've been patient with the series. [EDIT] nevermind, just had to think about it for awhile. then I saw it here (spoiler alert) http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/12/10/marvels-agents-of-shield-creators-on-the-midseason-finale-inhumans-and-skyes-identity
