Superbowls are all but locked up until 2020 elsewhere. We are hosting the Jets in London for NOTHING. This is a MAJOR screw job. **** you Goodell...and **** you Ross for again...being a half-assed, bone headed owner.

I really hope this means that the Patriots are giving up December home games soon.

I want to see Green Bay host the Bears in London.
    Steelers host the Ravens.
    Seattle host San Fran.
    Denver host KC.
    Dallas host Philly.

If we're the only ones getting ****ed over, then its just more BS heaped upon whats already there.

I understand the NFL wanting teams to give up a home game for the Super Bowl, but to make it a divisional game is just not fair.

Also, the Lions and Jaguars also have London games next year.

How about you send some different teams, NFL?

Jaguars signed some sort of contract. They have a home game in London for next few years.

Ross got bent over the table on this one. This better yield something...but I doubt it.

Well it will yield something for Ross, but not for anyone else. Miami will get to host the next available Super Bowl and "home" London teams are apparently going to be paid $1 Million by the league. He's probably mad the state didn't want to use tax money for the stadium renovations.

Imagine if the Dolphins lose the game?

While I can understand that this sucks for season ticket holders, as a UK resident I'm stoked.

I get to see phins / Jets, which is way better than giants or raiders.

    I feel selfish now

Probably the biggest home game the Dolphins have every year is their home game against the Jets. Because of all the Jets fans in South Florida, the stadium has more fans and the game creates excitement, merely because it is these two teams playing in the game.

Now Ross has agreed to give up this home game next year because he is more concerned with getting a SB in his stadium than he is ensuring his season ticket holders get the opportunity to attend the one game they look forward to each year. Ross obviously doesn't care at all about the people who buy tickets to attend Dolphin games. All he cares about is possibly getting a SB in some future year between two teams from another part of the country.

The Jets get their home game against the Dolphins next year, but the Dolphins have to travel to a neutral site in London to play their home game against the Jets. I really don't care how much money Ross spends or what improvements he makes to HIS stadium. I hope he sells the team to someone who actually cares about the fans in South Florida. I always thought Jeffrey Loria was the worst owner in South Florida, but now I think it is Ross.

The more things Ross does with the Dolphins, the more clueless he appears. The sooner he becomes the former owner of the Dolphins, the better off the fans of the Dolphins will be.

It's a shakedown by Goodell, without even a promise, just a "possibility" we will be considered. What kind of bull**** is that ? Ross has no balls, and has proven once again, he doesn't give a crap about DolFans, just his own wallet. I really wish he would sell the team ASAP.

So in other words an early bye for us again next year. Why do we always get one of the 1st bye weeks, meanwhile the Cheatriots NEVER get an early bye or lose a home game. It's ****ing bull**** all around.

We still don't know if the state would or wouldn't give us that money...because Weatherford made sure the bill never got heard on the House Floor in Tallahassee. It had already passed in the state Senate. Lets not rewrite history.

Because Goodell and Kraft are butt-buddies. He's been protecting them for years. How about how all the "evidence" in the Spygate was "destroyed" before anyone else could see it. That was such a sham.....it started then, and has continued since.

The Dolphins just played the best game they have played in recent history and the game was played in South Florida.

Giving up a home game against the Jets makes absolutely no sense at all. I have stated numerous times when I lived in South Florida that I didn't care if the Super Bowl ever returned to South Florida.

It just isn't worth giving up Dolphin home games, just to possibly get a SB in 5 years. Ross is merely a pawn of Goodell and the other owners, who have no interest in giving up a home game.

New England never attempts to bid for a Super bowl, therefore they will NEVER have to give up one of their home games to travel to London.

Thank God I don't live in South Florida any longer and buy season tickets. At this point, I wouldn't want to give Ross one penny of my money. He is proving that all he cares about is his own pocketbook, and he doesn't give a damn about the fans of South Florida who attend games at the stadium.

i think this is wrong on many levels and certainly needs to be revised in terms of the rules on this topic, its deplorable that this is a choice, it needs to be a mandatory equal thing..

we play well on the road..the point stands..

I'm not arguing the point you made about the Dolphins playing well on the road. I agree with you, but that doesn't change the fact Ross sold out the season ticket holders by agreeing to give up a home game against the Jets by playing it in London.

I blame Ross 100% for this situation. Because he cares more about getting a SB in his stadium than the fans of South Florida. He should have told the league that he would give up a home game and travel to London, only after all the teams who haven't yet played a regular season game in London were sent there to play first.

That means the Dolphins wouldn't have to play in London for several more years. At this time, Ross makes me sick and I continue to lose respect for him as the owner of the Dolphins. I WISH HE WOULD SELL THE TEAM IMMEDIATELY.

It appears that all Ross cares about is a SB in HIS stadium. He obviously cares more about a SB than he cares about the Dolphin fans in South Florida who attend games in his stadium.

South Florida has had plenty of SB's in the past and I really don't think it has much financial benefit to the area. The hotels are already full during the winter in South Florida with vacationers.

All the Super Bowl does is fill the hotels with SB fans, instead of the normal vacationers who simply find somewhere else to spend their money.

I think all SB's should be played in the new stadium in Dallas. It is centrally located and it happens to be the best stadium in the NFL at this time.

If the NFL doesn't want to play all their games in the same stadium each year. They should rotate the game between sites up north. Those cities don't get a lot of tourist during the winter and the game would certainly give them much more of a financial boost than it has ever given South Florida.

getting a Super Bowl back to this city helps the city as well, he also funded 350 mill out of his pocket for the revovations in the face of the ignorant who didn't support anything stadium related, including yourself, who would of done nothing and never got another supebowl here in the process..

obviously you and many others do not understand the importance of miami staying in the Super Bowl rotation and how badly the stadium needed to be modernized..

so don't hate on a guy who offered the best deal ever to miami and they sh{{ on him so he decided to do it himself..

Good for Ross, do you baby.

Your correct DJ, I don't understand why it is so important for the South Florida area to get a Super Bowl.

I no longer live in South Florida, but I do know that the hotel occupancy rates in South Florida during the winter over the past five years has been at an all time high.

They have the boat show and many other events and activities to bring tourist to the area during the winter months. They also have South Beach and the Keys which draws hundreds of thousands of visitors during the same time the Super Bowl is being played.

If there is one area in the United States which least needs a SB during the time it is played, it is South Florida.

Now if the NFL wants to hold the game during the middle of the summer, when vacationers are travelling to cooler climates to vacation, I would see that as a financial benefit to the area.

My view is that Ross only cares about padding his own pockets and that is why he wants a SB in his stadium. Instead he should just leave the stadium as it is and keep the three hundred plus millions he is putting into the stadium in hopes of getting a SB in five years.

As I have stated on numerous occasions. The stadium is fine as it is and all it will take to fill the stadium in future years is a consistent winning team.

Our 3rd trip to London....... Some Teams have never gone. Another home game lost, against our biggest rival no less. This will be a huge factor in my season ticket renewal decision. My favorite game has been taken away. Not to mention my seats will be gone after the rennovation following the season. This feels like a big " F U " to me, a dedicated paying customer. We're trying to build a home field advantage and full our seats; and also not get another useless early bye.... This is complete horse dung.

I still do not understand why he is taking away the seating...with a great team to root for JRS never had a problem selling out and it upsets me that dedicated fans like yourself will lose your seats that you have faithfully bought for years..also, his goal is to host another Super Bowl and it seems to me that getting rid of 10000 seats will not help that cause. Why not just add the lower bowl seating and keep the rest as well as adding the canopy which is huge as well as updating the technology..BUT MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL IS TO PUT A GREAT TEAM ON THE FIELD and we could then sellout 85000 seats especially with the canopy protecting us all from the sun. And again...taking away the home game against the hated jets is BULL CRAP!!!!

as a dolphins fan from the UK this is great news i cant wait, would cost excess of around 2 grand to see one game in the states, we are better on the road anyway, from another perspective it is unfair to have an early bye and and lose a home game to a division rival!
