A couple of big if's. But if London does get a NFL team it looks like that team might be the Jaguars. Adam Beasley brought up on Twitter today that the London team would be put in the AFC East or NFC East which makes sense. So either the Dolphins or Cowboys change divisions. Based on the owners both teams have and the fact we are in the AFC already with the Jaguars. It's a real possibility we move divisions

So we lose our rivalries but get back the Indy rivalry. We also don't have to worry do much sbout travelling to the cold cities in December.

It would suck moving but based on that info and our owner don't be surprised in 5 years of we are playing in the AFC South

Jacksonville has spent a lot of money on their stadium, I'd be surprised if they moved.

Say it's not Jacksonville. Whoever does move will get put in the AFC or NFC East. So unless the team that moves is already in that division I believe that we will be the team to move

I know I'm in the minority on this issue, but I'm totally in favor of it and I think it makes sense for the NFL to do some division/conference reshuffling. When you consider the cost of actually attending games these days, people are trending more toward watching Sunday Ticket on a 60 inch screen or pounding dollar drafts at a bar instead of actually going to games. If the NFL shuffled the divisions to allow for more localized rivalries, fans would have further incentive to attend away games which would boost all revenue, create better rivalries, and improve the atmosphere for all games.

I feel like this is WAY down the road. The NFL wants one, or even two, teams in LA before they'll have a team in London. There was a segment on NFLN last week about it, and which two of the three - Chargers, Raiders or Rams - would be moved there since all of them have prior ties to LA.

in principal, yes. but from practicality standpoint, I wouldn't expect much of an improvement. the reasons you mentioned are ones used to keep people away from home games, not away games.

That said, I wouldn't mind playing the NFC South every year.

I don't think AFC or NFC even matters. Realignment would be great, as long as the Dolphins stay in the states.

NFL should put a team in Canada first.

Personally, I wanna keep on hatin' the Jets twice a year. Besides, I'd soooo much rather be IN the AFCE when the Pooptriots struggle to reach .500 in the post-Brady era. We've waited too long for that moment just to have the rug yanked out from under. Speaking of from under, where is that ballsack?

Luck/Tannehill wouls be interesting year in and out. In the end I like being in the AFC East but wherever we play...doesn't really matter. I just want to win.

Doubt the Jags move, in my opinion it's more likely to be San Diego.

As long as the Dolphins stay in Miami..if they move out of state it would really suck since I have been with them since 66..No way I root for L.A. Dolphins!!! I would have to become a Jaguar fan.....argh!!!! or Bucs fan but I love the AFC.

I think there's a better chance of expansion than any team moving.

That's why it makes sense. We get our asses kicked by the Patriots for over a decade and just as we are poised to return the favor, boom, we change divisions. That's Miami Dolphins luck.

Just remember everyone.....we kicked the Patriots a$$ for the most part for over 20 years but I am with y'all that we need to start sweeping them again every year starting with this year.

Well you can thank Ross for us not being there already, he turned down an offer to move a few years ago because he wanted to keep the "Eastern Rivalries", now the idiot gives away one of the games to London.

God I hate this clown. Ross please sell the team !!!

Oh the proposal was a three team move.....Miami to the AFC South, Indy to the AFC North, and Baltimore to the AFC East.

Ross is not moving the Fins to London.
Los Angeles Rams sounds right somehow. Kind of like Oakland Raiders.

LA struggled and/or refused to support the Raiders & Rams so we're to believe a different team will get better support? Owners "need" this market to be vacant.

...and NO! the Fins shouldn't be going anywhere. When they did the realignment, and took the Colts out of our division, it could have easily been the Dolphins due to geographics. BUT, they didn't!
There are longer rivalries in our division now, and I just don't see them moving anytime soon.

    Here and there
The reason it feels like we don't have the rivalries as strongly as we used to is simple, we have been irrelevant. In the 70's and 80's every one was Miami's rival. Colts Patriots Bills Jets, everyone wanted to knock the Phins off their perch. With winning you get rivals outside your division as well. (Raiders Steelers, Chargers)

In the 90's everyone was the Bills Rival, they were the team to beat in the AFC east and in the conference. Now its New England since 2001. why? because they are the standard for winning.

As far as the Jets, well they don't win often so people just hate their fans , mainly because they cry so much when they lose, it's just a joy to watch, like watching your kids on Christmas open presents, its a warm feeling.

Fact is when you lose or just are not relevant rivalries do not seem quite as big. No one cares to watch the 2-10 Jets take on the 3-9 Bills, not even the fans, sure there is that "hey we got you this year" bragging rights but that's like bragging about banging the ugly chick from the bar last night.

Until The Dolphins win consistently and become a playoff/superbowl contender it will feel like the rivalry games aren't as meaningful.

Playing in the cold weather a lot in the regular season is not a bad thing, especially when the road through the Super Bowl goes through New England and Pittsburgh quite often.
