I didn't come up with it, but I love it. he's about to do an interview with trey wingo ill fill ya in.
against Johnson the key is to play technique and beat him to the spot.. maturation of ryan, whats impressive..? said that when the media was against him, he came out and performed great under that pressure. bought his mom a home in miami....cool..he gonna retire a phin. they obviously didn't get the memo about optimus grimes vrs megatron. extra coverage...Tannehill.. steve young...when your mobile you put pressure on defense, usually when your a dual threat the qb you aren't the most deft passer, not the case with ryan.
Last game Brent played against Detroit, Falcons won 23-16. Detroit held to 1 passing TD. Megatron had 5 catches, 115 yds, 1 TD and a long of 23yds. Appears that other than that one long catch, Grimes shut him down. Pretty good.
Is that right? 5 catches of 115 yds is an average of 23. Did he get a perfect 23 yd completion for each one? Super weird if so... haha
I think the box score lied to me. Wrong number in the wrong box From the play by play: Incomplete Incomplete (B Grimes on coverage) Complete 25yds (W Moore on coverage) Incomplete (B Grimes on coverage Complete 5yds (B Grimes on coverage) Incomplete (C Peters on coverage) Incomplete Complete 9yds (B Grimes on coverage) Complete 57yds TD (B Grimes on coverage, fell during recovery after biting on fake end around) Incomplete Complete 19yds (T DeCoud on coverage)
Thats much more believable haha I have to agree with lmeister though...not a shutdown. However, take away the long play and I'd be thrilled with a repeat of that coverage on Megatron.
Well you take away that long play on a busted coverage and Grimes held him to 14yds. But shutdown or not holding a receiver like megatron to 1 score is always a good thing.
Get that man a first class ticket to Hawaii..what a player.. Too bad his offense couldn't help him out..
