Life goes on. I'm proud of the effort the team gave today. We lost on the road to a really good team. We played tough through some mistakes that could have won us the game. Thursday night is going to be huge for us. We need to keep the effort going.

The guy is clueless when it comes to clock management. I can't believe he still does that.

Played tough in a place where GB lost.

Relax, and if you have an agenda go to FH, you will fit right in.

    Peace!

I understand everyone saying DET is a good team but we had them by the balls and we pissed it away. That's what hurts - eerily similar to the Green Bay game. Can't close em out

Well played active roster, well played co ordinators, what i will moan about is when we call timeouts immediately after a tackle allowing our defense time to call plays. On that final drive we called timeout the second a tackle wad completed instead of allowing the offence time to set, dictate formations allowing 2-10secs to burn then call a timeout. I saw a bad reaction from both Grimes and Taylor each time. Very poor Philbin. I would love to see a replay on that questionable timeout. I bet Philbin panicked and called it (mortgage on it)

Understand that there were two good teams out there and the slightly better one is the one that was able to close it out.

If we played Detroit last week or 3 weeks before that....we win. Having the best WR in the NFL makes the difference sometimes. Fact.

Wow...everyone needs to chill. This was a tough heartbreaking loss but it clearly wasnt Tannehills fault, if the receiver doesnt drop that TD pass were all saying how good Tannehill and the D played. Gut wrenching loss, obviously, but no reason to point fingers.

Usually respect your posts...hoping it is just frustration on your part. Otherwise you did not watch the game and typed the dumbest post in recent memory. That cost us the game?!!! not even close to the truth. Walk it off, you will feel a little better. I guess Clay's drop in the endzone was less important..lol

That's the part that really pisses me off. We really should be. Should not have lost to GB. Should not have lost this one. Really questionable decisions by Philbin in both of those games... Coincidence?

    Bingo.

@AbramsonPBP: Apparently some #Dolphins players were visibly surprised and confused on field after Philbin called third timeout.

Their defense is better then our offense. We lost the TO battle and the coaching battle(Timeouts WTF?). After all of that it still came down to the last minute.

I don't understand the absolute hatred and vitriol for Philbin. Did he drop that TD pass? Did he call that a first down and ignore the obvious time to measure instead? oh nozzz... he called a time out... LOL... the mere fact he did that lost us this game obviously. cmon now...

Well, IF the offense scores the TD, this is probably a non-discussion. Much more pressure is put on their O to score a TD.

I do not blame Philbin for the TO. You hope your D can hold up. And given the time, I think there are two ways of thinking; give your D a breather to catch up, or save it for the O.....essentially, having no faith in the D to stop them.

It is what it is. Damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

Timeout or not, it was an unlikely Hail Mary situation at the end anyhow.

He has no clock management. This isn't the first time he's called timeouts for the other team.

Well, that was more or less how I expected that game to go. Low scoring, and a lot of defense. I like the exciting finishes like this one, but this is the 3rd game in a row where the Lions had to win it with minutes left. I wish they would figure out how to score sooner for the sake of my heart, which nearly popped out several times.

The Dolphins certainly don't get the credit they deserve. The defense was great today. Pound for pound (or inch for inch), Grimes is probably the best corner in the game. Plays way taller than he is. I'm surprised that Stafford wasn't sacked more. There was plenty of push, but Detroit's o-line and TEs actually did good today.

Again, I like games like this. Well played and hard fought between two good teams. If the Dolphins keep playing like this, with the schedule they have left, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them in the playoffs this year. And I'm sure the Lions will do their best to beat the Patriots in 2 weeks :)

Thanks for chatting with me over the past week. You guys are some of the best fans I've interacted with this year. Good luck with the rest of the season!!

yes, we can recall from the Packer game, after that game it was discussed that it worked vs the Colts last year. We've done it before. We'll do it again. He called timeout... make sure the D is set. Maybe it saves us some time for our offense. (We did have 29 seconds because of it).

Agree 100%. I feel bad for Albert. It sucks to see someone get hurt like that. I hope Finnegan's injury is minor and he doesn't miss any play time. Based on today, and the previous weeks, you should be able to win on Thursday even with the short week and injuries. Should be a good rest of the year for you guys.

Thursday is the season. Don't deserve to go to the playoffs if we get swept by the Bills anyway... regardless of how our o line matches up vs their d line.

Once Finnegan went down, our defense never recovered. Suddenly, Stafford was throwing and completing passes at will, outside of that 3 and out.
